"Lock your body BCB recruits, its time to vote...."

Posted by shakes the clown on 04-09-01 at 01:49 AM
Since the show is on Tuesday, let's start the official voting thread tonight.

You guys know the rules, state the name of the dismissed recruit and discharged recruit in your subject line.

Put any reasons for your vote in the body of your post, or put nothing at all if you want.

No discussing or arguing on this thread, simply voting...only one post per person.

And, if for some strange reason you believe that something out of the oridnary is gonna happen this week (hint hint), explain it in the subject line.

Shakes' spoiler on Thomson.

Wolf's face time and inability to forge cross-gender alliances.

Sorry Shakes, but I think the women are onto Meyer by now.

Thomson is an obvious choice, and everything does point to that, but who will be dismissed is a whole different story. I would like to see Wolf dismissed, but for some reason I think he will stick for a while.

Yes, all evidence appears to suggest that Thomson will be sent out on medical purposes. But we also have to remember that the storywriter is a master manipulator, much as they are on Survivor.

I am prepared to eat a lot of crow over this prediction! They have played up Lauder being weak, being near to defeat, and I think that next week is when he goes down. A fine explanation for the crying people.

We have seen Lauder and Meyer talking strategy...I can see Lauder knowing that he is going to go, and asking Meyer who he should take out with him.

I think it seems obvious that Thomson will have to take medical leave. I think Wolf has made some enemies among the women. And I think Meyer would encourage them to take him out. I think Meyer is being played up to be the "person to watch" so he will stick around awhile longer.

Thomson is a fairly easy one with the premonition of his medical condition in the last ep. But I admit I'm going on a bit of a wild hair and shaky limb with Lauder. The only reasons I'm voting for Lauder:

1) Haar is gone, twas the weak link.
2) Pupo is gone, twas a weak link and not a team player.
3) The number of people that voted for Haar (I think 12 of the 14 votes) indicates that there is a strong desire to weed out the weak. Lauder is physically (and possibly mentally) the weak link.

Thomson is a gimme IMO....

I was thinking Morettiii, but there is a 50/50 chance he gets amnesty and since I'm guessing, I might as well guess somebody who has a 0% chance of amnesty.

I also think its gonna be a guy....the girls have already identified the need to stick together..and they might have Meyer with them.

Therefore, relying on the interveiw with Jackson where he said that Wolf is standing out in the group, he is my pick as the most likely male target for the women.

The screen time adds up, although I think it points more towards him being a big character in this show, but I got nothing else to go on so what the hell.

I agree with you all... I'm a newbie on this site, just to let y'all know...
Meyer is a jerk, but heck, he's hott, so I think he can stay Aside from Thomson's injury, it's a no-brainer that he'll be gone. I kinda hope it's Wolf, he's a brown-noser to the DIs and it totally drives me nuts!!

Altho, just saw a different preview during a Seinfeld rerun which promised that tonight will be a battle of the sexes. Cut to Wolf (paraphrasing): "If the girls stick together, we're done." Survivor preview history seems to indicate that the girls WON'T stick together so Wolf may be safe.

Both Wolf and Meyer have to see this as an opportunity to get rid of the other without retribution. This opportunity might not happen again. I'm thinking if they both survive tonite, they're gonna have to start protecting each other because if one is dismissed, the other is a sure discharge.

Some speculation: Thomsen is gone before the mission as they won't allow a health risk to continue. Wolf and the boys realize the danger of a the women voting as a block and try to suck up big time, turning down the macho during the challenge. If successful, my alternate pick is Lauder.

Well, just got home here in CA, and I gotta post befroe it starts on the east coast...

I think Wolf has played out his role, and I think Meyer is being set up as a long term character for the show. If Meyer is voted out tonight, I will reverse my opinion, but I think one of them is gone, and I might as well go with the majority opinion.

"Final tally"
Posted by shakes the clown on 04-10-01 at 09:34 PM
DISCHARGED:
Lauder = 1

MEDICAL:
Thomson = 10

DISMISSED:
Wolf = 8
Meyer = 1
Lauder = 1
Morettii = 1

Alright, 11 people voted....I think 50 is a reasonable goal for the season finale. We get 100+ on the Survivor vote thread so 50 seems fair for this half-assed show.

Thanks IC. I guess I was due. My last decent prediction was Mitchell on S2.
