Give me some time to get to my unrestricted computer at home (but not tonight...) and I'll post contestants names.

Everyone should know the drill, though, so please don't wait for me (but I do lay claim on the ubiquitous Native Greeter spot). We'll also need a siggie-master.

Well, I know the name of one team: Nat & Kat. And since Kat's the Asian American, I'm laying claim to her! My signature will be "Girl Power!"

Alrighty then -- here we go.

The teams:

Andie & Jenna
Brook & Claire
Chad & Stephanie
Connor & Jonathon
Gary & Mallory
Jill & Thomas
Katie & Rachel
Michael & Kevin
Nat & Kat claimed by Pegasus
Nick & Vicki claimed by Seana
Ron & Tony

Remember, you can also claim other non-contestant individuals/participants/objects such as local inept expert taxi drivers, helpful tourists, befuddled camera/sound crew members, MIA 2010 Emmy Trophy, etc.

Yes, I will take on the Native Greeter personæ as well as the Sort.of.Possible.Potential.Host

As far as siggies -- I'm going to send out a huge plea for help -- I know many of our previous siggie artists have very full plates so perhaps we can keep it basic.

I'm here. If you don't want to be Phil the host, you could be Native Greeter the host. I like being Phil.

Also, I will download a graphics program and make sigs.

I have had a long period of...um...interesting...home life. It's still...interesting...but I would like to get back online.

Let me know if you'll still have me.

I -- for one -- would love to have you online! I'm the only person so far who's actually picked a contestant. I'm taking Kat's role and my signature is "Girl Power!"

I'm new to participating, but would love to play. Brook seems sufficiently annoying to be fun, so I'll take her. Any advice for a newbie? Been reading for years and have cried many tears of laughter over your comments.

Think of a very good statement that you'd want Brook to say -- or that you'd want said about Brook. Also when you make your comments, be sufficiently snarky when you need to be, whether in conversation with your partner or with another Racer. I'll give you one example -- I picked Tammy in Season 14. Since Tammy was trying to prove to her older brother, Victor, that she wasn't a three-year-old, I went with the signature "I'm NOT a three year old!" Then whenever Victor & Tammy did well, I'd be thrilled and if they didn't do so well -- like in Leg 3 -- I'd be pretty snarky, especially to Victor! In fact, I had a running snarky feud with Ontheroadagain, who took Victor. It got to the point where I wondered if I was enjoying it too much.

Does that help?

Yes, thanks. I'll come up with Babbling Brook's tagline.

Welcome, caseymagoo!

As soon as you think of a tag line, post it and I'll be sure to get your sig to you. Since you're new, let me just explain how to use it.

At the bottom of this posting, there are a few options: Reply, Reply with Quote and I dunno...Edit, I think. Click on "Reply with Quote"

You will see what I typed with a lot of >>>. Find the URL (starts with "http" and ends with "jpg"). Copy that.

Paste it into your posting.

For easy repeat posting, make the sig a part of your profile:

Click on Conferences > User > Modify Your Profile (submit)

Then paste the URL into the Signature section.

Please feel free to ask if you have questions. Anyone with a sig can probably help (we're a friendly lot here) or PM me if you're feeling shy.

If you want to practice posting your sig, please use the Preview button, located next to the Post Message button. Posting just to see your sig is discouraged, even if we are DAWs.

Feel free to practice with mine (below) until you have your own.

I think Babble's tagline should be 'More than just a foo-foo'

I'll be Rachel. I have a tradition to uphold, after all.

Tagline: "Look, we just passed Tinkerbell again."

since I can't edit the above (who knew 20K minutes would go by so quickly?)

Brook - caseymagoo
Jonathan - beau_30
Rachel - Max Headroom
Vicki - Seana
Kat - Pegasus
Nick - Seana (double duty!)
Native Greeter - Molaholic

Still plenty of room!

With the season starting in a few hours, I'm ready to jump back in to all the fun & games. Belle Book and I may be the only ones talking to each other but give me Nick - Stupid haircut and all.

Capn2patch put me in motion!

And "stupid" fits very well.

I hate to say it, but "stupid" does fit you very well. It fits Vicky even more. She's a hairstylist -- I wonder if too much fumes from all those beauty products did something to her brain. However, you're not a hairstylist, so I can't blame too much fumes from the beauty products in your case. Hmm -- maybe it is that stupid haircut!

Do you have anything for your sig, Mole? Also, will you be posting the weekly thread? You were here first, after all.

I can give hosting a try, but what with youth football season in full swing I may be a little behind in kicking off each week for six episodes or so.

My siggie -- I'll stick with the Native Greeter motif, with the comment "Was ist mit meinen Emmy?"

Thanks!

I want to be the Harry Potter Glee Acapella Singer.

Tagline if possible:

"I'm Not Harry Potter."

There. Let's try again.

Rachel

Jonathan

Brook

And I think I'll be Vicki, actually. I hope that's OK.

I hate to be nitpicky, but the taglines for Brook and Rachel are reversed.

Sorry.

Thanks for making the siggies, Seana.
