I have a feeling it'll be the smoke n' lights version.

We all know that Chris can rock out.But in my oh-so-humble opinion as "Joe Couch Potato" watching from the comfort of his living room, i think Chris needs to venture out of his comfort zone and show us that he can sing and perform outside of his niche.
He has to prove nothing to me about his rock cred after doing "Hemorrhage". That convinced me beyond any doubt.
Get up there and do a 50's song, OR do "Last Kiss" as a 50's style. Not as Pearl Jam's song.

Why? I don't understand why everyone is so concerned about this. The judges sit there and say they love contestants that know who they are, and he definately does. Why should he change that? Simon applauded him for not budging tonight on the show. I do too. Bo never veered from who he was and he made it to the finals and Carrie was all country exceept for a Heart song and she won. And let's not forget everyone's beloved Taylor. Has he gone out of his comfort zone? He sings those bluesy easy listening soul-y kind of songs, and he's done so from the start. I guess we will just have to see how it all shakes down.
I don't have any rumors but I sure hope that Bucky doesn't sing Jailhouse Rock, JPL sang that one and it was the end of him.. wouldn't want history to repeat itself
Doh...don't these singers research what's been done before and how well it went over? Gah!*so lets hope this in inaccurate information*
Latest i've found:Taylor could be singing "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry. Not sure what I think of that. It is such a cliched song. I kind of hope this spoiler is wrong.
Ace: rumor is that he's singing Jackie Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops".

UNLESS -- What if Taylor plays guitar on Johnny B. Goode? It really is more of a guitar song than a vocal song.I know he plays, but I have no idea to what level. Can he do Chuck Berry justice?
And poor Ace. I don't know that Jackie Wilson is such a good idea for him.
Have we actually heard Ace sing in a normal range for someone over puberty? He's really starting to bug me. And I confess I liked Constantine. Just don't see Ace as an 'entertainer'.
Ace needs to just stand there. Not say anything, and for the love of dog not SING anything.Just stand there. *sigh*
Maybe he should've gone on one of the modelling shows or something. He hasn't proven yet that he is a "singer" and I am clueless as to how he got to the finals on this show.

Sometimes his 'looks' remind me of the blank himbo stare that John Travolta used to do as 'Vinnie Barbarino' Very practiced and doofy looking. He looks okay, but when he sings, he just looks icky.
Sorry for such a newbie question, but I was wondering
if there is some rule that states that contestants aren't
allowed to play an instrument during the competition. I kind
of think this must be the case otherwise Taylor would have
pulled the harmonica out of his pocket at every opportunity.
The guys who can dance are allowed to pull a few steps so I
would think as long as the instrument is something they can
pull out of their pocket, I don't see why they can't play it!Is that a trombone in your pocket or are you just happy to
see me?
Never mind...Simon answered my question tonite. It is
a singing competition.
