Express-pass usage while others passed by them to first place.

Vanessa and Ralph pass the Twins at the end, sending them home.

8 teams remain, who will be eliminated, next?

I still have to finish writing the rest of my lab report, but I'm here.

Woo Hoo, Lab reports!

Is it a cookbook one, or something tricky? I TA'ed for some professors that would occasionally do crazy things like the hypotheses that A causes B is wrong, or worse, testing things where the answer really was unknown. Fun for us, but annoyed the heck out of the students.

Acid / Base titrations of unknown solutions. What's the end point? What's pKa? What kind of titration curve is it: Strong acid / base, weak acid / strong base... At 8 pages, so far, I've got it all done except for the Conclusion. I can afford to take a bit of a break. I've been writing for about 3 hours, so far.

Ah, I remember titrations.

Titrations? Does that have anything to do with capping Rachel's chest size? The bigger they are, the louder she wails?

Titrations. Good times!

Fly to Turin Italy, drive to the Lingotto Building.

Art and JJ demonstrating overconfidence, they should be in first every time no other team has any chance of being as amazing as they are in any way.

Italy is Tropical??

Arrive 10:35 am so far sounds like the earliest arrival. Kentucky goes to the airport, most everyone else at the Travel Agency. Told to go all the way back to the agency. Since when can you not buy tickets at the airport? Or was it in the instructions this time.

One flight is full already, the other flight is later, 11:50 am arrival. Kentucky think they are on the same flight as everyone, but they try to get on the early flight standby. Everyone showed up so they are behind.

"RE: Departing first"
Posted by Estee on 03-11-12 at 08:13 PM
There's been countries in previous courses which didn't allow any ticket sales at the airport -- but allowing any chance at standby seems to mean Paraguay isn't one of them. Probably either in the instructions or teams trying to keep from waiting for hours at the airport with nothing to do.

Odd that the other teams as a near-group seem to be protecting Mark & Bopper. Carrying the weakest links or just trying to collectively get them a little more prize money?

Rachel's an idiot. I have to believe that giving a helicopter pilot a chance to land a helicopter makes sense, even if it does turn out to be a model.

Crazy to drive in.

Rachel--blonde screeches to a halt to let the boy drive.

Building they are going to is a big climb to the top.

Fast Forward--Teams must land a helicopter on a building. Remote controlled onto their partner who is wearing a replica of the building.

Roadblock--One rappels down and grabs the clue, if they don't get it done fast enough they have to do it again.

National Museum of Automobiles, must park using the product placement self parking. Find the Tin Lizzy to get the clue, small blocks on the seat.

Kentucky lands.

Dave's a helicopter pilot, but if you don't want to let me land one, I'll walk down. She must change her demeanor or there will be trouble. Wow, that's supportive.

People are failing at the roadblock. Rachel makes it, down.

BB-Rachel breaking down and Brandon's not having it.

Helicopter Crashing.

Second time rappelling is the charm.

JJ and Art finally get the landing. Piazza Costello is the pit stop.

Santa Convention.

Kentucky wandering around. They don't speak no English Neither My Brother.

Cue is a penny. Must figure out which building it is, and BB are looking for a place to insert the coin.

Santa knows where the building is.

BB still wandering around.

Do not name a child Rachel. She will be obnoxious and be attracted to jerks.

Stoopid reruns.

Not feeling good about Kentucky's chances. There isn't enough dysfunction to let them catch up (believe it or not) and the timely mention of an ill child feels like it's leading up to that last walk off the mat.

Not feeling good about my casino chances either, but what's losing eighty percent of your total? (In my case, a better-than-average bet.)

I can't imagine why Brandon would want to marry someone who melts and whine like Racheal. A lot of scientists have to be able to politic in order to survive. I can't imagine that she will be much help.

"RE: No street signs"

Brendon wanting to marry a child-woman like her makes him seem like some skeevy pedophile. I don't want to imagine what their pillow talk is like, I'll hurl.

I firmly believe that everyone partners up with one who is at the same point in the normal-not normal mental health continuum.

Brendon is as sick as Rachel though he may present better.

I would love to see him quit both TAR and her.

You know, it's funny...

We require licenses to get married, go hunting, to drive, amongst other things, and we have to be of a certain age to smoke, drink and vote ... but anyone can breed whenever they feel like it. Something wrong with the picture there?

I love to parallel park! It's something I picked up right away and have always been good at. I once had a group of people outside a bar applaud me when I parked in front of them. They were all drunk, but still.

But I can't drive a truck worth sh!t, especially not backwards.

I will drive around the block for a half hour rather than parallel park. I practiced for an entire day before my driving test, apparently did a good enough job because I passed, and never did it again. Maybe I could do it, but I'm too afraid to try and not be able to and make a fool out of myself. I'm an excellent driver (hehe), but I can't (won't) parallel. That car was made for me.

Mad props to those that can. I am gellus. And a little ashamed...

Edited to remove siggie, because I forgot. Again.

The coin couldn't possibly BE the clue, could it?

Bopper doing the Roadblock, so far disfunction junction hasn't given them a shot, yet.

Art and JJ are team number one. Won $5000 each! They say the race is gnarly and they will still come in first next time, but it will take some work.

Glass elevator to the top of the coin building.

DETOUR.

Clean that Statue vs Name that Salami.

Taste the Salami shop, taste 14 then travel 1/2 a mile then identify all 14 at the next place.

Rachel and Dave have a nice moment in the elevator. No Salami for them, too much meat for them to handle.

How many times can the demonstrate the Park Assist.

So far everyone cleaning the statue. Why did we come on this show if you are going to break up with me. I thought it would be fun *sob*.

Apparently everyone is driving past the statue, but people seem to find the road with the Salami.

Brendon and Rachel first to the Salami Store.

Kentucky has caught up, at the Tin Lizzie place as the second to last team leaves.

People finding the statues.

Do not shoot the head off the statue with the power washer, and there it goes.

Can we just kill BOTH Rachels, now, please?

Off to the Pitstop.

Rachel and Brendon having a second go at the Salami. Need a third time.

People finishing the cleaning pretty quickly.

Rachel and Dave Team #2. Our communication was lacking.

Kari and Stacy at the Salami place. Rachel melting down, again.

It is supposed to be FUN and GOOD, and sounds like they are quitting as we go to break, but it can't be that easy, can it?

Brendon and Rachel, Team #6.

They agree to stop yelling at each other. That'll last 3 seconds.

Kerri and Stacy team #7

Kentucky last to the pitstop.
Fought really hard. Your girl will be real proud of you. Celebrating their friendship.

I think you are right. I remember Taj during a Survivor auction where she had won a video from home simply not hearing that she had been told her husband would be waiting at camp. When she finally realized it, she grabbed Jeff's arm, started jumping up and down and nearly yanked Jeff's arms out of its socket.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that the smarty pants Canadian who was always boasting about Canada being on time has been stuck here in Florida for the late month+ and will continue to be stuck here until March 24 or longer.

It would be nice to see a team who really really needs the money win.
Brenchel already won enough.
Other teams seem to be pretty well off - or at least not in as much need.

There always seems to be a reason to like or dislike any team.
I have to root for these guys if for no other reason than for what the win would do for their families.

Of course, that much money could turn out bad for them; lottery winners don't always do well in the long run.

If I find out that these guys have been playing everyone (aka Johnny Fairplay or the Survivor winner who claimed to be a car salesman but was in reality a porn star), I'll be po'd. And so will every other redneck who is rooting for them.

I don't root for teams because they need the money. I like to see people win or lose on their game play, but I'd have to say this pair is more likable and not quite as inept than they initially appeared.

I'd much rather look at the twins, but I am glad they didn't get eliminated.

FWIW, the winner who was a porn star really was an used-car salesman at the time he appeared on Survivor - he quit or retired from the porn business before moving on to an equally sleazy business.
