Has anyone heard anymore? The only info i've heard is that at some point the theme will be 'Songs Of The 50's', with possibly a visit from Barry Manilow.

Any other info/rumors/leaks?

Songs of the 50s is next week, with Manilow appearing on the results show. Two-hour broadcast again on Tuesday.

oh joy!!! I LOVE Barry Manilow! he does have his new album of songs from the 50s but can they pick any song from the 50s?

Perhaps they'll bring him back? A duet of "Copacabana"?

I think I was the first to post that spoiler on these boards. From what I've heard, the songs that the Top 11 will sing will probably NOT be from Barry's album.

As for Rod Stewart week, last I've heard is that the theme is quite possibly NOT Rod Stewart, but standards, or "The Great American Songbook".

So Rod and Barry will be appearing in result shows, but their music will not necessarily be the theme for those weeks.

ETA:

Rod Stewart is expected to perform at the Top 7 results show.

I heard that Kenny Rodgers is the guest on next Wednesday. Maybe Travis is the one they talk with on Tuesday? Is there enough time on a one hour show?

This was from a blog over at the Official AI site, but that post has already been deleted. As for the Top 6 theme, I'm not particularly sure if it covers just songs by Idol winners, or if songs from non-winning Idols will also be included.
