There are so many times the judges contradict themselves throughout this competition. An example was last night with Melissa's performance. I happen to love the song "Lately" and she butchered those lyrics. I thought for sure the judges would be all over her. Yet they told her it was a great performance. There have been so many times in the past, when they're ripped contestants apart for not knowing the lyrics.
Does anyone else feel the same?

They did make mention of it, but certainly didn't seem to hold it against her. And evidently, Kellie forgot some lyrics, too, and it wasn't mentioned at all.

My complaint is that some of the contestants ventured out of their "comfort zone" and got slammed for it, while others were praised, while others were berated for NOT getting out of their "comfort zone".
