..one of the biggest problems viewers had with Boot Camp was the inability to tell one person from the next b/c everyone looked the same with the shaved heads. Sandy Grushow even acknowleded that it was a big problem with the show and that they would definitely change that if there was a BC2.

..the only interesting facet of this show was the Takedown rule, but because so many of these people were soo out of shape, we rarely got to see the rule used since so many people left because of injuries, quitting, or illness.

Edited to clarify...

The decision to do a live vote read, which resulted in the ridiculus supposed real-time helicopter fly-in (when it was already dark in LA!!!), and then two people I never saw before in my life claiming to be Colby and Tina really messed up the flow of the show and detracted from the ending.

Perhaps it would be better titled "The Final TC Vote Read in LA".

Do you mean because of the shift from the Outback to the studio (and the very visible shift in appearances, especially of filled-out and clean-shaven Colby)?

Or do you mean something else?

...by putting the show on twice a week on varying days FOX was just asking for this show to fail. Plus, the first three shows went up against the following season premieres....Spin City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, Frasier.

In lieu of 9/11, the rigth thing to do would've been to table the show until a later date, either when TI2 was going to be on or this spring after TI2 is finished.

...in the end, it did nothing to prevent the inevitable pagonging and all it did do was eliminate strong contestants like Silas and Lindsey while at the same time adding life to those undeserving like MamaKim and Frank.

The Amazing race producers did a good job in picking their contestants such as Festers, Guidos,Paul & Amy, Lenny & Karyn, Frank & Marg, and Nancy & Emily. All of them were interesting. However they made a mistake in picking Team Bore. The Vanilla Ice lawyers are cute but they have no personality. I think Rosie O'Donnell would agree with me.

By far, the dumbest challenge in reality tv, especially because it was to determine the final two couples.

Do you remember when it clearly looked as if Elisabeth voted for Colby by making a "C" but it turned out that her vote was cast for Tina? There was some footage in the web about it...

..this show would've been a lot easier to follow if they simply had a running clock on the screen at all times to tell us how far the different teams were behind the leader or ahead of the pack. Instead, the editing was confusing and it was impossible to get a firm grasp on what was going on with the race.

Honestly, it ruined the show for me.

A constant theme in TAR was how teams needed to conserve money. Yet, since we never had any idea how much money they had, we had no idea whether they needed to conserve or were just dumb/cheap. The worst example was Team Guido in Thailand, when they thought the didn't have enough money to take a cab after winning the FF ... but they did have enough to pay for a hotel room for the night!

I hate it when Survivor producers recycle old challenges. The SOS, triva, and the pole challenges. That ruined the show for me.

What could have been a neat Survivor-type contest instead turned out to just be a race to get home.

Mark Burnett should really sue. And it STILL didn't make the show interesting.

It's 8:00 pm. You have a choice to see Friends, Survivor 3 or Popstars 2. Gee, which one of these is gonna be the lowest rated?

...on camera and then trying to use editing to make it appear that Jeanette had simply misinterpreted Toni's aboard-ship comments about sharing prize money...

First, it was discovered that they rigged the running of the gauntlet to allow one of the female contestants to escape elimination. Then it was discovered that the cast was brought to an LA bird observatory several months after filming in order to create scenes that did NOT exist during the orginal filming. The producers wanted to add some drama to the show so they gave the contestants scripts with pre planned lines that would have some of the contestants fighting and arguing with each other. Of the contestants, only one refused to participate.

The only thing that kept this from being a huge genre shaking story was that the show was on the UPN (or WB, not sure now) so who really cares anyway besides the 10 people that watched.

It's hard to get to know people if they are only here for 1/2 or 1/3 of the episodes. BAD idea!

Colby's plate was cracked in one challenge and his carabiner was briefly removed from the rope in another. These cast a pall over the whole Survivor 2 show, making people like Peter Lance question how fixed the show might have been.
