Winners of the 1st leg gets an Express Pass which will let them skip over any task that they don't want to do. Also there are only 3 places on the 1st flight out of Logan Airport.

They're driving SmartforTwo cars.

It made some teams DumbforTwo.

If you check in first get the Express Pass.

Any time before or during a challenge you don't want to complete and get the next clue.

2 flights waiting, first flight only has room for 3 teams, lands 30 minutes earlier

Looks like they had to have a dash cam?

And if anyone had any question about how uncomfortable those little things "ride:, ask no more. Every little bump was recorded by the camera.

Wow, the middle of the pack way too happy to leave some of the rest of the middle of the pack behind.

Ron and Tony-Wiz Friends

Chad and Stephanie, waiting in line,

Jill and Thomas get the second ticket

Who gets the third one (other team is vollyball??) will be after the break,

Chad and Stephanie get the third place on the flight, so everyone else off to Virgin Atlantic.

Chad really needs to take a chill pill ... or at least get off the steroids. He's got the Toni Eyes.

Yep, isn't this the relationship going to fast couple.

Why does it seem the quick ones always have some sort of issue. Never seems to happen to the calm and reasoned people to buy a house together when you've only dated a few months.

Volleyball Girls are 4th so they are the first team on the 2nd flight.

I was hoping to like this team and expected their athletic background would make them a threat to be the first all female winners. But their snide put downs of other teams has me rooting against them already.

Everyone on the road to Stonehenge.

Some with more success than others.

Think that is Birth Mom and Daughter that killed the car.

Birth Mom doesn't know how to drive a manual and has burned out the clutch.

The doctors arrive at Stonehenge first and have to find Eastnore Castle where the next clue is.

Finally get the car going again.

Nat and Kat Doctors make it first.

Looking for EastNor Castle (but clue says opposite of NorEaster)

Other people arriving as they leave.

Wouldn't the opposite of Noreaster be Southwester? Reversing the syllables doesn't make it the opposite.

You'd think so, but these teams are d.u.m.b as hell.

Really??? Really?????

"RE: Never heard of Stonehenge??"

I had the same reaction. Then again, they seem like the classic team that's never heard of anything.

Did you notice she also called it Stone *Hedge*? That's why she was surprised it was made of rock.

I guess it's a good thing Vicki didn't have to figure out "candle-a-bra" from a few seasons back. I imagine she'd have burnt herself.

"RE: TAR 17 Ep. 1 ECST"
Posted by MsShel330 on 09-26-10 at 09:24 PM
Vicki (the tattoed chick) had never heard of Stonehenge. Huh? Why do people not know that you have to drive a stick shift on this show?
At Eastnore Castle they have to storm the castle.

Storm the castle while the peasants try to stop you and get the flag.

"RE: Challenge==Root Marker"

I'd like to storm a couple of these teams and give them an ass-whoopin'.

It looked like the peasants were really enjoying themselves.

Have to take this little round boat across the lake, but it is really easy to sink the boats if you don't get in it right.

"RE: Racers on the half shell"

These little boats really reminded me of the ones that Flo had her meltdown on while Zach did all of the work, way back on TAR3.

Too much to hope that Chad also gets one in the kisser, no?

And you'd think the nerds would be able to figure out the law of physics to get into their boat without too much trouble...

Boom, right in the kisser!

The girl who has been doing the watermelons for f.o.r.e.v.e.r, just had one come firing right back at her from the catapult - that was maybe a 50 mph shot right in the face from a watermelon. Ouch. To her credit, she got up after a few minutes and nailed it on the second try.

"RE: TAR 17 Ep. 1 ECST"
Posted by Snidget on 09-26-10 at 09:55 PM
Definitely gets props for being tough, it isn't easy to go back to something where you got walloped like that.

Maybe a few watermelons can knock some sense into a few of the other teams.

I can't feel my face.

I felt really badly for her, but when she kept repeating that, I was LMAO.

I laughed out loud when it happened before the commercial, and then I laughed some more when they showed it again. I laughed so loudly that my husband came to see what I was laughing about.

Is that wrong???

No.

But using a siggie in an ECST is wrong!

I didn't laugh so much at the watermelon "six-pack" (the knights should have been high-fiving!) but the repeated "I can't feel my face" had me in stitches. Sounded like something the south Pacific Survivors would say after too much kava.

Chad and Steph may never find it.

and Nick and Vickie may never figure out a battlement, or what a flag is...

or a boat...

It sure seemed like all the tattooing over the years have zapped more than a few brain cells with Vicki, in particular.

"Stonehenge? What's that? Oh, it's just a bunch of rocks."

(at the pit stop) "Where are we? London, I guess." (to which Phil replied, "yes, the country of London.")

That last challenge was sort of designed to eliminate the fat man, wasn't it? Lousy design especially since it was Tony's dream.

"RE: Finish Order"
Posted by kidflash212 on 09-27-10 at 00:14 AM
Yeah - teams with disproportionate weight were at a disadvantage. I do wonder how they got that lost. You'd think Stonehenge is well known enough that getting directions would be pretty easy.

Well, perhaps they got off the wrong exit and couldn't get back in the right direction right away. After that, things probably went downhill for them.

I don't know, the two skinny nerds had enormous trouble with the challenge, while there were other teams with big guys (such as father-daughter team) who had no trouble at all. If you know how to proportion your weight in something like that, you'll do fine.

As a former canoe/kayak instructor, I was appalled at how some teams just kept trying to stand up in the turtle shell, even after they had tipped over for the 94th time.

"RE: Finish Order"

I was also shocked at how many tried the "stand up in a boat" approach.

Something about the name "Victoria" that inspires dumbness, it seems. First, we had Victoria who somehow saw something half-decent in Jonathan a number of seasons ago, and now Vicki in this installment of TAR.

Looks like more car trouble as well.
