Hey, Christie & Jodi -- want to get away?

For some strange reason, I think these two will need their own bashing thread.

I was all-in on Jennifer and Preston, so you'll have to look elsewhere for Casino sympathy.

Who brings wheelie luggage on TAR?

LAST EDITED ON 02-16-09 AT 04:20 PM (EST)

I was quite taken aback at seeing these two bringing their wheelie luggage... they're not going to last long in the game with these wheelies -- especially if they're in a field and they have to get from one side to the other, or if they're in a snowstorm in Siberia.

Idiots. The sooner they're off my TV screen, the better the game will be.

I think (hope) that they are wheelie rucksacks, although to be fair even that isn't a great idea

I had two initial thoughts with Emerald on this stuff.

LOL, should we have a GUFU thread for TAR like we do for Survivor?

1. Why are they wasting time rip-and-reading on the tarmac at their luggage on the ground? Phil told them to run to their bags for the first clue on top, and then get in one of the fancy (non-)American cars. Hehe, not one of those dinky tincans of foreign countries. I would be hustling directly to the car, rip and read once in and on the way (if not while running to the car itself, which didn't look to be all that far away).

2. Wheelie luggage is truly a bad idea. Smart luxury item to bring might be a "universal traveler's translator" that covers the major languages for simple terms.

3. The seriously out of shape old lady of the old hicksters (I'll get everyone's names down at some point) didn't know she'd be running about in this TV thing?

Production wish: Dam(n), nobody banged into it on the bungee drop.

Re point 1:
I am 100% sure the rules of TAR are such that the teams MUST read the clue out loud to the camera BEFORE they can run to their cars.

But I like the idea of a GUFU thread for this show.

And just for the heck of it, an anti-GUFU this time:
I'd say that the biggest surprise of this episode was Steve, the self-proclaimed hick, coming up with the best idea of using the cheese carrier as a sled to slide the "rolling cheeses of doom" down the muddy, poop-filled hill.

I wouldn't mind a GUFU thread for The Amazing Race as well. Here's my ideas for gufus for the leg:

1. Jennifer not knowing how to get to a train station. This put her & Preston behind the 8-ball from the beginning.

2. Jodi & Christie not asking what the first train to arrive in Interlaken was. That almost got them eliminated.

3. Preston carrying Jennifer when Jodi & Christie were on their heels. That got them eliminated instead!

That's two next-to-last-place finishes in a row. That kind of steady incompetence combined with poor reading skills and the tendency to confuse (and scare) the horses is generally associated with just one other team...

While during the little bit of time that I was in the Bar last night, I bemoaned the fact that I'm now officially backing DAndrew the 2nd.............

Hopefully, this variation of Dandrew won't go as far as the original one. Maybe it'll be more like Kelly & Christy from the same season.

Hey, take a look at that. First place!

They may not be Nick and Starr, but they're definitely not as sucky as Dandrew.

I think we now can officially call them that now, because they got saved by the first Non-Elimination Leg.........

I was so hoping they were gone! I can't stand watching stupid, incompetent teams! *sigh*
