Public Transportation.

Given the reading skills in this group, I kept waiting for someone to book a flight to Indiana.

Has we seen so many teams confused about the idea that other countries are all different from the USA before?

They did seem to make sure Jeff and Jordan had plenty of other people with geographical deficiencies.

I think Caite was confused with the word 'funicular' ... maybe she thought it was something like 'fun nucular' and decided she didn't want to ride in something that would blow up.

I thought there was another team who walked down. ?

As soon as the clue was read, I started watching to see which ones didn't read carefully LOL
If all of us know how important it is to read the clue, you'd think those in the race would know that too!
And? the clue told them the name of the street that the house painting was on - yet it seemed some of them wandered around on several streets.
It almost looks like they get to read the clue once and then must not consult it again!

You can see that the racers always feel that the producers are wasting their time by making them read the clue to camera everytime. This feeling makes the racers rush through reading the clue and they don't fully mentally digest all the details. I think this problem is further aggravated by a tendency for the racers to refuse to pause and reconsult the clue card because of a persistent feeling that they are wasting time left over from the camera reading. Thus the teams miss details and often wait an excruciatingly long time to re-consult the clue card.

Huh. Not an angle I'd considered before and there's a few high-energy teams where I think it would definitely apply: 'anything which keeps us from running is a waste of our time.' In this case, though, I suspect more than a few of them just have trouble reading.

Where to paint isn't obvious.

Teams start to find the place and when finish go to the pitstop.

The moment when the daughter pointed to the clue card to the painter guy and said, "well?" and the guy just looked back at her and shrugged his shoulders ... that was a priceless moment.

I love the painting challenge. People were lost and didn't know what to paint.

Nothing says fun like someone coming into your house and start painting one of your inside walls with the wrong colour.

So, do we think TAR producers gave some money to the painters or homeowner to compensate them for the unauthorized paint job?

Objective
Slide down a steep, winding ice run, head first and face down on a tiny sledge with no brakes as fast as possible.

Fortunately, TAR films the finish before releasing their dumbdumbs back on the world.

If only the wife did the wires, his weight pulled him down so far that he could not pull himself along.

As soon I he chose to do the roadblock, I had a sinking feeling. A big guy like that was sure to have problems. And they seemed nice, normal, down to earth people. Hate seeing them the first eliminated. Idiot girl winning the leg was pretty nauseating as well.

Why a 15 minute penalty for losing a brush? Have teams lost or broken utensils before without getting penalized? Not like losing the brush gave them an advantage - if anything it slowed them down.
