No elimination yet... but Luke/Margie came in first and won a trip, then Cara/Jaime came in second. The other three teams are still on the course.

Teams make their way to Bangkok.

Roadblock is to put together a propeller on a boat, then when it works, take the boat to their next clue.

Four teams leave their backpacks behind, and two go back to get them while Kisha/Jen and Mark/Michael didn't. The sisters seem to believe they can finish their tasks then go get the packs while the brothers are fighting over the packs - one wants to finish all tasks then get the packs while the other wants to go back and get them.

Detour - fit five fake teeth into five Thais (try saying that three times quickly) or ride a karaoke taxi for five miles, wailing with three transvestites (as several teams mentioned).

The teeth task is kinda gross. I hate karaoke but I think I would have done that one.

I loved that the females all beat Victor at that. If Tammy had been that slow Victor would have been all over her to hurry up and he would have been telling her what to do.

Wow. A four-hour penalty for Mark and Michael. Twice they used personal goods to settle a bill, which, according to Phil, is a violation of race rules. A two-hour penalty per infraction resulting in four hours in total of penalties.

It's a non-elimination leg, so the remaining 3:10 of their penalty will be tacked on top of their start time for the next leg -- and they will also have to perform a speed task.

They're in serious trouble next week ... and the producers will likely find a way to keep them in the game with a major bunching point.

1. Luke/Margie
2. Cara/Jaime
3. Victor/Tammy
4. Jen/Kisha (they actually arrived third, but were told they had to go back and get their packs as they couldn't arrive without their travel documents such as passports... then they were saved by Mark/Michael's penalty from finishing in last place)

But seriously, you're not supposed to trade or sell your own possessions as payment. That's apparently been a long-standing rule -- I found that out on Reality Fan Forum. And Mark & Michael did it twice! Thus they were nailed big-time!

Didn't a team give their taxi a pair of shoes in Russia last season? Did they get a penalty, or did the bill not get settled with the shoes?

I think that was Dandrew ... and they might have gotten off the hook by using their TAR per-diem money to get these shoes in the first place so perhaps they were technically allowed to do this. By comparison, M&M brought that stuff along from before the season started.

No idea what's the difference, but I'm sure this question will be asked after the season is done and/or after M&M are eliminated.

I think you're right. Teams are supposed to start off equal - Dandrew purchased the shoes with the money they received for the race, so bartering with them was within the rules. Mark & Michael's stuff was what they brought with them - if teams were allowed to do this, teams with the ability to bring more expensive stuff along with them on the race would have an unfair advantage.

I'm confused. Trrading personal stuff for a taxi fare is against the rules (bad Mark and Michael) but getting a taxi driver to give you a ride for free is okay (good Jen and Kisha)?

I could see if they had lied to the driver up front saying that they would pay cash for the ride, and then trying to make the switch afterwards. But I know that for at least one of these rides the guys told the driver up front that they didn't have full fare money.

I suspect that the rules are all well explained to the competitors at the start of the race, but the presentation feels like they are out to get M & M.

I think it's all about equal footing - any team could ask for a free ride. Teams who brought along personal items they could barter or sell would not be equal.

M&M has never struck me as the type to give a carp about rules, they're always like "eh, whatever" to anything that comes up before them. So it's not surprising to me that these types of things keep happening to M&M in this race. They've made so many boneheaded moves that I'm surprised they're still in the race at this point.

Agreed, but they were not penalized for "bumming" a ride from a taxi driver when they had no money.

So if they had just bartered the ride for 200 they would have been fine but giving personal belongings is a no-no.

I'd rather the rules state that they can only bring so much valued personal items on the race and then if they want to barter them they can. I hate seeing these people in such poor areas not getting what they are owed.

... is the long-rumoured screaming match that ensued between two teams at a Pit Stop. It's between Luke and Jen as they repeatedly ran into each other and elbowed the other out of the way on three occasions. Finally, at the Pit Stop, Luke and Jen screamed at each other and called each other "bitch".

Should be fun, will have the popcorn ready...

On the preview shot of Luke and Jen screaming at each other at the Pit Stop, weren't Tammy and Victor shown listening in between them? The only way that they would be there is if these are the top three teams with M&M way behind.

Oops. You're right I did forget them but with M&M having the speed bump I would think C&J should be ahead of them. Possibly, as said below, C&J #1, this group #2-4, and M&M last.

Didn't see them - My guess (want to be clear that this is just a guess) is that First place for Cara & Jamie, these three in the middle and M& M making it a very unsuspenseful leg next week.

Yeah, so much for the TAR Casino this week. The big question mark is probably going to be where Jaime/Cara end up.

I almost passed out when Tammy/Victor arrived 4th. Saved again due to a technicality (a la Lakisha/Jen).

What is up with the preview between Luke and Lakisha/Jen? The gloves sure came off with Luke/Margie yielding Kris/Amanda. Now we've got pushing and shoving.

It was a NEL. The brothers are last and have a 3 hour penalty still to be served. They have to do the speed bump next week. Unless there is alot of bunching they are out next week.
