Greetings, hamsters!

As we have seen over the last few weeks, you all have a gift for words. So, this week we will play a word game for the Head of Household competition.

All you have to do is find as many words as you can from the letters in: HAMSTER HOUSE. All words must be 8 letters or more and plural words are allowed. Proper names, place names, hyphenated words, acronyms and other non-words are not allowed. The only online source that you are allowed to use is to verify that your words exist in this dictionary.

You get 1 point for each 8 letter word, 2 points for each 9 letter word, 3 points for each 10 letter word and so on. If you list a word that does not exist in the dictionary above, you will be penalized -1 point. Plurals to words (usually with an 's' at the end) are allowed even though plurals are not listed separately in the dictionary.

Everyone except last week's HoH (that's you, zazzy!) submits an entry for this HoH competition. Give a full list of all the words you come up with and the total points you earned. Submit your entry by Sunday, 10:00 p.m. As usual, late entries will be disqualified.

In case of a tie, the next tie breaker is who finds the most number of the largest words found, from the most number of letters to the least number of letters. If there is still a tie, the winner will be determined by a random draw.

Have fun with your word play, hamsters. You already know you’re good at it!

Your problem is the space bar. If you write "Thisishard" then you have a 10 letter word. Ok, Ok, it doesn't work with Hamsterhouse but "Thosearemush" does.

Who will be the fourth Head of Household? Some of you found quite a few words, although nobody found all of the possible words. Two of you, however, did find the largest possible word: HOUSEMASTER. What an appropriate word for the Head of Household!

And it also turns out the same two of you tied for your final score. You two are... Corvis and michel! As a result, a random draw was required to break the tie and determine the winner of this week's Head of Household competition. And that winner is...

I have never eaten so well before this HH experience. Sheesh! I like all the different kinds of cheese in my omelet. And some ham. And fresh tomatoes. Maybe some red and green peppers?

It's time for the nomination ceremony!

I'll pull the first key and that person is safe. They'll pull the next key and so on.

As you can see, I have nominated kris and jbug. The fact of the matter is, this was not a difficult decision. I've played the same game since week one, when I made a definite alliance with zazzy and michel. jbug, we talked alliance early on, but I think it's fair to say you were never truly committed to working with me. And kris, from what I can see, you've been offering anything to anyone to keep you safe each week. Not that I blame you - it's gotta be tough being on the block each week. So please realize this is nothing personal, jbug and kris, but I stick with my alliances.

And I have complete faith in this alliance. I know they will stick with it even if one of the nominees wins the veto and removes herself from the block. So I am certain that either jbug or kris will join the jury next. Of course, I wish you both good luck in the veto competition. I really like both of you and don't want to send either one of you to the jury, but of course someone has to go.

Corvis, I agree with some of what you said. While I have asked people to keep me safe and promised them safety in return, i haven't promised them "anything and everything" to stay. Also, I have not yet once gone back on any deal i have made with anyone. But I understand that you had to put someone up and that you couldn't put anyone up in your alliance. I just thought we had a deal. But that's ok. I understand. Can't wait for veto. Good luck to all in the veto game.

Hello, everybody!

Now that Corvis has named the nominations for eviction from the Hamster House, it's time for the Power of Veto competition! All House hamsters can participate.

You all have such colorful, well-rounded personalities that this competition is based on just this theme.

All you have to do is guess the number of circles in this little piece of abstract artwork that Zenbot has created in honor of your colorful characters.

Some of those circles are almost hidden by some other circles, so look carefully!

Entries are due by tomorrow, Tuesday, 10:00 p.m. As usual, any late entries will be disqualified.

Well, all five of your answers were very close to each other. Two of you overshot the count, probably counting distant pieces of mostly hidden large circles already counted, which is easy to do. Two of you were only one circle short of the actual count.

I have a lot of experience counting nuts & bolts & washers.
Maybe that has helped.

I love hiking. I used to hike a part of the Appalachian Trail every year with my brother. Then I went back for my Master's degree and had to give it up for a few years. Next summer I am going back!

Fellow hamsters, greetings one and all!

Well, the time has come AGAIN for me to tell you AGAIN why you should keep me in this wonderfur (yes fur) house.

First let me say, I've really enjoyed playing this game. It's been fun and getting to know you all has been great. Makes me want to meet you in the real world! And not covered in fur.

I've been on the block every week. Every week, I've asked you to keep me safe and not vote me out. Every week, some, if not all, of you have asked for something in return (don't vote you out, nominate someone of your choosing, and/or don't nominate you, etc). So far, I've not been able to return that promise to any of you. Kinda hard when you're on the block EVERY FREAKIN WEEK!!! At any rate, I won't throw Michael under the bus. Every week when I've made my speeches, I've never thrown the other person under the bus and I won't start now. That's not how I play.

I am asking you all, though, to think about how I can get you to the end. I think you will find that if you keep me around instead of Michael, I may be useful to you.

Good luck to you all in making your decisions. I hope your vote is to keep me. Good luck to you, as well, Michael. It's been fun

I managed to smuggle in a few bottles of fine scotch but you need to keep me in the house to know where they are. Kind of like a new reality show: Take the Scotch and Run!

As you already know, anyone evicted from the Hamster House will serve on the Jury to determine the winner between the two finalists. While hamsters are sequestered, they may not PM other active House hamsters or participate in any of the Hamster House threads, either in the House or in the Audience. They may, however, PM other sequestered hamsters while in the Sequester House.

The evicted hamster and the House hamsters may say their farewells until tomorrow Saturday night, 10:00, when this Week's thread will officially come to a close. A new Week thread will be opened with the Head of Household competition soon.
