"SB Speak (thresd, etc.)"

Some long-time posters sometimes employ words from SBSpeak, or Blowhevian or Blowhemian, such as "thresd" which means "thread." Most of these words originated as typographical errors which were found amusing by other posters and thus took on a life of their own. Most of these words are also most common on the Off Topic (OT for short) Forum, though they do spill over into other forums at times. No one is required to learn or employ SBSpeak in their posts, not even in OT, it is strictly a matter of preference and style. The two exceptions to the typographical origin are "peeps" (singular "peep") and "gufu." "Peep" simply means person or poster in most cases, a form of shorthand, though Uncle Jizzy does sometimes treat us to "Peeps Theater" posts. "Gufu" has no meaning (though it does have a definition), it is just a nonsense word. This has been posted simply to answer a question which previously arose, in event that it might arise again, and if this post gets locked so be it.
