Our dearest Jbug,

We all miss you terribly. Leaves just don't taste the same when you are not here to share them.

I'm writing this letter slow because I know you can't read fast. We don't live where we did when you left home. Your Dad Yellowjacket read in the newspaper that most accidents happen within 20 miles from your home, so we moved.

I won't be able to send you the address because the last Tennessee Moth family that lived here took the house numbers when they moved so that they wouldn't have to change their address.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. I'm not sure it works so well though. Last week I put a load in and pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.

The weather isn't bad here. It only rained twice last week. The first time for three days and the second time for four days.

Remember that coat you wanted me to send you? Your Uncle Beetle said it would be to heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on, so we cut them off and put them in the pockets.

Your brother Silverfish locked his keys in the car yesterday. We were really worried because it took him two hours to get me and your father out.

Your sister Butterfly had a baby Dragonfly this morning, but I haven't found out what it is yet so I don't know if you're an aunt or an uncle. The baby looks just like your brother Mosquito.

Uncle Gnat fell in a whiskey vat last week. Some flies tried to pull him out, but he fought them off playfully and drowned. We had him cremated and he burned for three days.

Three of your friends went off a bridge in a pick-up truck. Roach was driving. He rolled down the window and swam to safety. Locust & Grub were in back. They drowned because they couldn't get the tailgate down.

There isn't much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened.

Everybody can participate, except jbug as the Head of Household.

We have one more item of food to bring into the House and after the competition is over, all of you may have some of it. But before you open the jar, you have to count them!

The Power of Veto competition question is: You must guess. How many jelly beans are in this jar?

PM me (the Zenbot) your guess by tomorrow, Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. board time! Any late entries will lead to your disqualification.

(Hamster House producer calls jbug in for a Diary Room chat and reveals a slight twist to the other players.)

The Zenbot decided to give each of the non-HoH players a chance at winning a comp this week. You won yours!

If the the PoV winner does save someone, then you're the one who will name another nominee, so you're still very much involved in the PoV process.

The actual TV-version BB Golden Power of Veto Golden works like this: Each week after the Head of Household has announced the week's nominees the six HouseGuests (the nominated contestants, the current HoH, and three randomly-drawn other housemates, if possible) compete for the Golden Power of Veto. The person using the Golden Power of Veto is safe from being nominated in place of the person saved if it is used.

So you're right about what you thought the current BB rules are (which sometimes changes). Call this a slight "twist" in the interest of giving all the other players a chance to win a comp this week.

I am soooooo happy that jbug pulled my key. I think I'm safe, but I have to try my best to win POV, just in case.

If the nominations stay the same, it's gonna be hard deciding how to vote. Wayne fixed a scrumptious breakfast, and keeping a good cook in the house is always a plus. And kris made sure all our clothes are clean, and that's a plus too.

*sneaky grin*

Now I think I'll go get some of the items from the house and move them to a different room so my fellow housemates will wonder if BB is up to something!

Hello again, everybody! We see that you're all well rested and well fed this evening. Very well fed. And well imbibed too, I might add.

Now, it's time for the Power of Veto competition results.

But, wait, there's someone missing from the competition, as I see only seven of you. Hmmm, you had go better check your pantries and chocolate stashes after this. Either that, or suzzee overslept and none of you woke her up. At least all of the jellybeans are still here!

And how many of them are there? One thousand one hundred and sixty two, to be exact.

Without further ado... the winner of the PoV competition with the nearest answer of 1,111 jelly beans is...

Congratulations, zazzy! You now have twenty four hours to decide if you wish to save either of the nominees up for eviction. If so, jbug as the HoH will name a replacement nominee the next day. Great job on winning the POV. I hope that you will use it to save me, but of course, this is your power to use. I understand if you don't want to use it and keep nominations the same. But as I said, I hope you use it on me so I can stay another week here. I really enjoy running on the wheel! I wanna get to know everyone better. This is a game and you have to do what's best for your game play, so I'm really hoping that your game play includes keeping me around. Thanks!

Zazzy has spoken. The original two nominees, krismiss2us and newsomewayne, remain on the block. The Hamster House board has been updated.

Everyone except the eviction nominees PM me (Zenbot) your eviction vote by Friday night, 11:00 p.m., when the results will be announced. The Head of Household vote will be used as the tie-breaker in case of a tie vote between the remaining hamsters. The vote count will be revealed, but not who voted for whom.

how long do we have to say goodbye after the votes are counted?
And I assume the first evictee will be on the jury, yes?

Greetings, hamsters! All of the votes are in and it's time to announce the eviction vote results! But before we announce the results, there's a few things you need to know.

First, anyone evicted from the Hamster House will serve on the Jury to determine the winner between the two finalists. While hamsters are sequestered, they may not PM other hamsters or particpate in any of the Hamster House threads, either in the House or in the Audience.

The evicted hamster and the House hamsters may say their farewells until tomorrow Saturday night, 11:00, when this Week's thread will officially come to a close. A new Week thread will be opened with the Head of Household competition later tonight.

Now for the results!

By a vote of 5-0, the hamsters have voted to evict...
