Allright. That's it!
That drat-blasted EPJP has done me one over and has left he out to hang-dry atop a fortification of self-inflicted spoils.

Soooo, I have no Hut-Cam to share with you this week. It seems that most anything I could possibly have devised as a question has been answered already. Thanks in part to my sworn enemy EPJP and his crack-addled staff of edit-demons.

However, I do have a request. During the middle of the week I was captured and locked away in a penthouse prison suite of the Vdara...

Yes.
THAT Vdara.
The non-smoking, non-gaming, ultra-posh resort. Most famous because; due to its position, angle, building materials and malicious intent is quite capable and fond of roasting people alive.
(Talk about gross-food.)
As of this moment there is only 1 way in or out.
And the Sun is about to reach the points in it's path where the "death-ray" will begin torching anything on it's way through the singular outlet. And like ants under a magnifying glass, you all are in danger of being roasted in your quest.

Yes, quest.
See, I am charging you all with saving me. In mere moments I will raise the bugle on this quest.
You, as celebrity losers, in hopes of reaching your much exalted host in his pent-prison, must get yourself from the starting point, where you currently are, across the atrium and into the building.

I will be describing the process further in a post below and will also be calling the first move in that post as well.
For now, those that have the Space Helmet (Dennis, Sandra and Sasha) have a slight advantage, discuss...

Oh and discuss, if you want to, the lack of Hut-Cam this week. As if Survivor REALLY was the reason any of you were here in the first place.

I'm so glad that I found a free moment to connect. It's fascinating that we have a solar-related challenge, since the sun is such a vital part of our lives.

I would also like to dispel some unfounded rumors about "roasting" and "death-ray" being generated in ordinary buildings. Pure poppy-ccok (excuse the vulgarity). However, in order to sooth your obviously frazzled psyche, I will give you an offer of comfort (along with the prerequisite warm beverage).


To further calm your nerves, I will also send a protective suit made primarily from element 13 -- (Al) -- first isolated in Denmark in 1825 and with an average atom weight of 26.981538. Do not let it heat up beyond 660.32º C or it will melt. It will give you ample protection, I'm certain.

Welcome celebrities!
I promise you 100 chips if you can save me.

You are all at the START.

I am at the END.

Moving only 1 space, wend and wind your way from Start to End hopefully avoiding the magnified sun-burns over the course of the week.
(Yes, Jim, I understand the plausibility factor of something of this magnitude actually taking place, which is why I, I'm sorry, THEY, have installed their own extreme-magnifying lenses and hydrogen-powered flaming ball to cause multiple burn-beams upon the grid above.)

Each celebrity will have to Claim your position in the SUBJECT of your post. Remember, it can only be 1 space away from your current position, so for this first "turn" it should be either Position 2R or 2L.

Like the other games, I will come back tomorrow and reveal which spaces were burned and then offer you your next move opportunity.
Every time you get burnt 20 chips will be incinerated from your reward stash.
If you get burnt 5 times you will be out.
IF you have the space helmet (Sandra, Sasha and Dennis) put it on, it will help you survive unscathed for a single burn.

Once Hut Cam is up and running again, the game will be over and it'll be like it never happened.
Or we could call it something besides Hut-Cam, which apparently fish read as Poop-Room, to keep it fairly safe to enter on a weekly basis.
And really, the dis-inclusion of Hut-Cam this week was a great nod to the inability of those whom DON'T follow spoilers.
So, I accept that your tears are tears of joy, for not subjecting non-spoilers to too much public humiliation.

I feel better now. For the record, I used to read spoilers, but actually knowing stuff doesn't keep you out of trouble at the Lodge, it just gives you more points that can't be traded for anything.

Ok, I'm in.

2R.

I don't really care, you see, but I've been wanting to wear my aluminum space helmet for a while, it's a gift from that weird little red head Kathy Griffen or something or other (who really cares, anyway?) from back when she wanted to lick my tongue stud. I don't blame her, it is a pretty cool tongue stud, just like everything else about me.

I don't understand why the Trump couldn't see that. Who cares though, he’s an idiot.

But it's fun to lay back in my deck lounge chair around the Loser Lodge hot tub after a game of boob bounce (something about a ball and a net too), sip margaritas, and get my hair dyed teal. Not talking about me head hair though, that was last week. Got to make the cue match the cue ball, IYKWIM.

I have been feeling a bit backed up lately, all that raisin bran I’ve been eating I guess. Plus Muffin’s muffin. I didn’t realize that would cause me to back up, but if I had I would have done it anyway. Although I don’t do that for the nutritional value, maybe there is some vitamin P there.

I did miss my scheduled trip to the porta-potty cam. I guess next week I’ll just have to redouble my output, that little monkey attendant better bring an extra big bucket.

The bending of the beam had the worst of the UV hit the START and 2L spaces.
Everyone who chose 2L had 20 chips turn to ash. Everyone whom didn't move at all also had 20 chips incinerate.

Like, I am sooooooo excited. My birthday weekend has been, like, totally cool! I even taught a cat to lip sync with me at the VMAs. Like, how cool is that? Well, I guess it didn't really matter how far you all got. And some of you got really far, but the END space was torched, and well, since that was where he was trapped, so Hugh was torched as well.

There were still chip takes, but in the interest of moving things along (11 Down 2 to go... has been posted) and not kicking this particular dead horse for too much longer, I suggest we hold a sort of twisted-wake for his boxer-brief life. Then perhaps just wait for the results of 10 Down 3 to go to follow in a post below.
