"Halloween Poetry Slam"

Come one come all. All may enter if you dare.
Tis the first big bonus for Survivor In Question.
But anyone can enter!

Halloween Poetry Slam




In this bonus, there will be 4 divisions for you to compete in. You can choose 2 of them. If you choose less, that's fine by me.
There will be two winners in each division. I will only award points to the SIQ players, everyone else will just win bragging rights.

Here they are:
DIVISION I - Short Haiku
DIVISION II - Long Haiku
DIVISION III - Quickie Rhyme
DIVISION IV - Free Verse

A few tips/hints/guidelines/etc.:

~You don't need to be super-spectacular at poetry for any of these.
enjoy reading more of the funny/witty/sarcastic ones. Make it entertaining.

~Be sure to follow the basic structure. E.G., if you do a haiku be sure it has the right amount of syllables.

~All poems should be related to Survivor.

~Have fun with it!

Due date: October 31, 11:59pm, central, the witching hour.

Write me a haiku. First and third lines are 3 syllables. Second line is 5 syllables.
It doesn't need to rhyme.

Winner: 10 points

The yogi called Aras, is the child made of gold.
His brother, Vytas, has a closet with a skeleton.
Is it even possible they are made from the same mold?
Does blood, when mixed with water, turn into gelatin?

Great poems everyone! I contacted a couple of survivors but didn’t hear back from them. Bummer. I do believe this was when they first found out about Todd. I was shocked like everyone when I heard of his battle. My prayer for Todd is that he will be able to use this trial to become a stronger person.

But I did end up with a special judge; my husband. I printed all the poetry without names and sent it with him bow hunting. Imagine my mountain man sitting in a tree reading poetry. That makes me smile. He enjoyed it. He did choose my short haiku as the winner but I feel odd taking points. The next choice was Molaholic. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for letting me know other people read my stuff. Molaholic you have bragging rights for your Short Haiku!!

I will post below the winners the amount of points they won.
