I actually enjoyed Family Edition more than TAR9...

God, the Hippies were awful and sanctimonious... add on top of that asshats Eric/Jeremy, skanky Dani/Danielle, and a handful of generic bickering couples (Lake/Michelle, Joseph/Monica, Ray/Yolanda... yawn).

Probably the most boring race course and the weakest cast ever assembled. Very sad that I have to be constantly reminded of it by Eric/Danielle's appearance in All-Stars, where they are proving themselves to be just as devoid of any positive qualities as last time around.

So what do you think of All-Stars so far? I'd rate it in the bottom third, ahead of big-time loser seasons like TARFE and TAR6 but behind all the others.

But there was one good thing that came out of TARFE . . . the best Be The Amazing Racer game ever.

I agree. Sucks, and doesn't promise to get any better.

Really, "all star" seasons frequently suck. Not sure why we continue to have them.

Addendum: I would root for a family edition team consisting of Flo, Jonathan, Colin, and KKKendra over the Hippies!

I'm happy to find someone else who didn't think the Hippies were the worlds best racers and more!
I could never figure out what everyone liked about them so much!

I'm chuckling that someone called "coolflowerpowerman" would hate on the Hippies. I would guess the opposite. Not cristicizing your opinion, just thought it was ironic and funny.

If I had to rank them...

Most-Liked:
3- Yes, Flo won. Ridiculous, but damn entertaining.
2- Good teams, good locations, good race
5- Some excellent drama, and the second winners I wanted to win
10- After several lackluster seasons, a turn for the better...
1- The race has come a long way and changed a lot since...
<11> Would love to see D/K and O/D continue to do well...
4- Boring. I found Tian/Jaree amusing, at least.
7- Terribly dull.
8- Waste of airtime. Except the last leg- that was well-done.
6- Most loathsome winners ever. And poor Lena and Kristy
9- Weakest race ever, and some very irritating finalists to boot

Least-Liked

So far All Stars is pretty much in the middle for me, but it definitely has potential to go up to the top or down to the very bottom...

This is the first season that I don't even care if I watch the eps live. I record them and sometimes don't watch them till a few days later. That has never happened before with TAR. I don't like the All-Stars version of this show. First I think very few of the invited back teams really were worthy of being called All-Stars. And the challenges this season seem easier too. I want them challenged.

I can't wait till next season when we can start over with unknown teams. This just seems like such a rerun. And Mirna is driving me crazy.

...I also never liked the Hippies.
