Not that I believe there was one. I just want to keep all of our 'the boat went to the dock -- and to the left' theories in one place. So if you think the show rigged this leg to make them reach the mat last, present your ideas, evidence, and chain of logic here. We'll listen. If you have hard proof, we may even believe you. But it'll really help your case if you take the foil off your head before you begin speaking. It does horrible things to the microphone.

Theory #1: 'Philippines' is actually spelled the way Rob wrote it, but they changed it just to spite him.

Or someone on the crew was hiding in Mirna's mailbag and slipped her the letter when we weren't looking. It's so obvious!

Well, Romber did indeed come in first again but the show decided this was not the way to go so edited in computer generated facsimiles of them and voila, the show deletes their facsimiles.....?

That's my theory and i am sticking to it..........chuckling

Theory #2: Rob and Amber's mailbag had only one letter, while the other teams' bags had eight letters each.

Theory #3: Amber's newfound assertiveness and outspokenness threw Rob completely off his game.

Theory #4: The producers thought college-graduate Amber knew how to spell.

Theory #5: The producers gave America's Team (Charla and Mirna) a ride on a 4-wheel ATV to the mat to make sure they got there before Rob and Amber.

Theory #6: The lighting was bad at the table where Rob sorted his mailbag.

Shooting fish in a barrel...

Rob threw the game. He just doesn't screw up like that.

Logic:

- He mispelled "Philippines" - could have happened to anyone.

- BUT! then he says "Better not be a spelling thing." This is clearly pointing out to anyone who didn't notice the first time that he has mispelled the name of that country.

- Amber suggests they move to the other task, but he brushes that idea off completely. In a previous Detour, he was more than happy to change tasks when he thought they were wasting time, so why not now?

Answer? Rob placed huge bets that he and Amber would be eliminated in the 4th leg, when no-one would expect, so the odds would make for a better win. Then he had to lose in order to win, which made him sulky. Amber wasn't in on it, though.

Mind you, I think that "overlooking" their letter for so long was just overkill.

Editted to add more evidence: Since when do Rob and Amber fail to read a clue? They went to a museum because Rob said he knew where they were going instead of following the instructions in the clue? Clearly this was done on purpose.

You are right! One could make millions betting against Rob And Amber not making the top 4 last year. Even a Rob hater like me would think the odds were in favour of him reaching that far into the game.

Why do you think Rob and Amber won the first three legs so easily? It was payment for agreeing to blow the fourth leg. I bet they don't go to sequesterville with the regular losers. They get a private 5 star villa on an exotic island. Its all in Rob and Amber's contract.

- We are not sure what the directions were for, but Uchenna paid off the flight attendant to give Rob faulty directions.

Ensign Gates brought the Enterprise back in time so Chief O'Brien could beam up Rob and Amber's letter, beaming it back only when it was too late for them to finish anything but last. Not nearly as tricky as the airplane trick they pulled off in TAR7, but hey whatever works.

1. Susan and Patrick's letter to Rob and Amber was 56 pages long, single-spaced,diatribe in Spanish about why the Red Sox suck, which they needed to read aloud before proceeding. And it contained pictures of Amber from her "Stuff Magazine" spread where they had drawn in a mustache and beard. Their letter to Uchenna and Joyce was 2 sentences.

2.Interspersed along the route this leg were three separate "open auditions" for other reality shows, which of course Romber needed to sign up for.

3. Postmaster of the Post Office at the End of the World? Lex Van de Berghe.

No conspiracy theory here. Just stoopid is as stoopid does. Or should we now refer to them as "DUMB & DUMBER"?

I thought Ms. Electra was more Eric's thing.

The only natural 20 I associate with Philippines Rawb is his IQ.

Rob was too busy stuffing envelopes at the post office as all of the envelopes in the mailbag were from Publisher's Clearing House telling Rob to "Reply now to guarantee your One Million Dollar Prize!" and in fine print "Because based on your record, you will never win any money from a reality based competition."
