Please keep all discussion of Mary's attempt to race without allies, partner, camera operator, or sound technician on this thread until the West Coast gets to see that last shot of her muttering 'I'm invisible, I'm invisible...' or until midnight EST, whichever comes first. Because we may never see Mary again. She doesn't need you, y'know. She doesn't need any of us. There isn't a thing or a person on this planet which she has any need to rely on. Especially the ticket attendants. Who needs a plane to fly? The other Racers. And what's Mary going to do? Flap her arms. Really hard.

Or stuff David into a balloon's fuel tank and burn him for hot air. Whichever's easier.

One more leg like this and I'm switching my PTTE to have Alex & M-J finish first.

I don't think the golf tournament was finished today, either. Last I heard, there was a 4-way playoff and the sun was going down fast........ If it wasn't finished, they're supposed to start up tomorrow at 8:30 am on the Golf Channel.

Every ep, I like to figure out how much time difference there was between teams' arrivals at the last pitstop:

11:39 - R&A

I was surprised that Romber had a 39 minute lead! I didn't expect it to be that much.

I was also surprised that so many of the other teams were very close together - so basically it was Romber..........Danny & Oswald.,.group 3...group 4.

(Did you notice that while Charla was complaining about being too short to see over the counter she had no issues using her small stature to try to listen in on everyone's conversation?)

Exactly, and that's probably what annoys me most about her. She's willing to take any hospitality or advantage that comes with being short, but completely unwilling to take any disadvantages that come with the same quality. If I complained about being tall on an airplane, they'd either laugh at me or tell me to buy an extra ticket.

Now, as for Mirna, she's just a Grade A #####.

I think the other teams are all booked for the 1:55

I doubt there are dead fish in a breeding tank. But, once they get enough of them out they can see the clue on the bottom & walk the remaining fish out of the way in order to read it and continue on their way.

This isn't necessarily fatal, though -- it's only about seven miles round-trip from the Pit Stop to the clue and back again. Right now, we've definitely got teams who are well over that far back. It might drop them by a place or two, but they'll stay in it.

They're a lot nicer on high-def. If you get a partially-artificial mix with a little bit of mica (or just get lucky in the local mineral groupings), they become absolutely gorgeous.

Joe & Bill #7, even after Schmirna beat them to the clue box. Mirna left the car key in the tent and Mirna won't go back for it by herself. *UGH*

If I recall, TAR rules state that team members must remain together (or within a small enough distance for camera crews) at all times. I had wondered myself why some teams couldn't split up when it would probably make things go quicker and then heard about this.

I guess the exception would be at roadblocks, but there's probably extra crews there and all the non-participating team-members are probably required to stand together for camera reasons.

Man alive, what a sloppy leg. Joe and Bill misreading their clue, Beauty Queens missing theirs. They were lucky though, they stayed team 4. Too bad to see Mary and Dave gone. Rob and Amber were smart to get the tickets ahead of time knowing the airport would be closed.
