Someone cue the thoughtful prose suggesting that turning on your alliances just gets you evicted faster.

Been kind of a sleepy week. Vanessa has dug such a grave for herself that her credibility is at such an all time low that everyone else just kinda laughs at her deals.

The really sick thing is that, last night, James started seriously considering the idea of keeping Vanessa and booting Shelli. Meg/Jackie seem to be bullish about the idea too, which is the really crazy part. They're reasoning that Shelli is tighter with Becky and, if Shelli wins HOH in the double eviction, she's coming for their crew, not Becky. Vanessa, on the other hand, has her sights set directly on Becky and Johnny Mac now. James says they can always just get Vanessa out at double eviction anyway, but lower their short-term risk.

My instincts say that Vanessa is still going to go, but it's good to see that James' crew is at least looking at the angles. If they let Shelli skate this week, she might stick around awhile. Vanessa is still pretty dangerous, though, with her connection to the Austwins. Just stamp out that problem right now. If they go against Becky, they're just going to do what Vanessa did to James last week. Why start resentment there?

OK, so Becky's HOH reign has officially blown up.

James spent the afternoon trying to get Vanessa alone (Becky kept running interference) and finally got his talk with her. And Vanessa basically vomited Shelli and Becky's entire game to him, in her typical rapid-fire manic way. Of particular interest is this "Generals" alliance that Becky/John/Shelli/Clay made back in Week 2. Now that Johnny Mac has roped in Steve, James is worried about a secret 4-person alliance developing. What's really problematic (for Becky) is that Becky previously pitched the alliance name "The Generals" to James early in the game, so James is inclined to believe Vanessa's story. Also thrown in is how Becky tried to get James backdoored during Vanessa's 2nd HOH (despite him being safe). Also something about Becky saying James was sexist. Because, y'know, Vanessa.

James seems really swayed by the information. He went back to Meg/Jackie, who are now equally upset that Becky was playing both sides. The whole thing is pretty obnoxious in general, since Vanessa was originally the one playing both sides. Becky caught onto Vanessa who caught onto Becky, and now the After Dark Crew is mad at Becky. I guess they really don't like people playing the middle in general.

What's funny is that Austin almost had to be coaxed by James into agreeing to keep Vanessa. He had already kinda given her up and was playing it cool when talking to James. When James articulated that he actually wants to keep her, he completely flip-flopped.

The Double Eviction is looming large in all of this. James/Jackie/Meg are terrified of Shelli and the Austwins coming after them, so they're doing all this to make sure the target is on Becky/John/Steve. I get the sense that James/Jackie/Meg still would want to eliminate Vanessa at double eviction, but Vanessa promised she would go after Becky. A decent amount of trust is being built between Austin and James in all of this. Honestly, I think the Austwins are getting the best deal out of all this. They get to keep their Vanessa meatshield for at least one more round (possibly more) and having pivoted the later target toward the Becky side of the house. I honestly don't understand why no one has yet to take a shot at the Austwins yet. It's kind of baffling how long people are leaving them alone.

(Also, Austin spilled the beans about the potential flip to Steve. The original plan was to tell Becky riiiiiight before the live show on Thursday. We'll see if Steve squeals to Johnny Mac and Shelli. It could still blow-up on Vanessa because Shelli/Steve have a lot of dirt on her. We'll see.)

The double eviction HOH is going to be huge.

The only problem is that tonight's episode will end with the veto ceremony as always and then the double eviction episode will practically start with the vote so most of this will not be shown. They really should modify their editing pattern in the episode prior to the double boot to include some of the post-veto discussion but they are so formulaic that we won't get anything of substance.

This week is a hawt mess! OMG. I want Vanessa out of the house more than ever, if I have to watch her tell anyone else how smart she is, then break down in tears one more time, ugh! Frankly, I don't like the way this season is heading with Austwins and James coming together because they have to "protect" their girls. Someone, anyone, can't you see the THREE that the Austwins are.

Please Steve, tell Johnny Mac where the gremlins are going, please. I really want to see it hit the fan. Shelly, stop being goody 2 shoes and start spilling on that emotional, paranoid gambler girl. Frankly, I would love for Johnny Mac/Steve to start to run this show, somehow, someway.

It looks like it's going to boil down to comp wins. Someone needs to take out Meg too, please!

Since no one posted, I went to take a look at Sucks state of events and Live feeds threads:

Tid bits from the Live feeds: Austin is suffering from a severe case of HoHitis, acting as if he was in charge.

James seems to be the current choice for replacement nominee but the Austwins are really hating on Vanessa. They probably wouldn't backdoor her because they want to leave that to the next HoH.

Veto was won by Liz. Her current plans are to leave the noms the same.

Austin and Liz are just completely over Vanessa now and have spent most of their HOH making fun of her rabid gaming. She keeps trying to get in good with Johnny Mac and cover her bases with everyone, and he keeps just ratting her out to Austin. It's pretty pathetic, honestly. The Austwins now know about all of her past dealings by now.

It shows a little bit of disciplined gameplay on their part that they're just letting Vanessa dangle this week, and let the next HOH take her out. We're getting so low in the numbers that having her as a meatshield for one more week could be huge. There's a possibility that James or Johnny Mac or whoever would do the same thing, but it's doubtful. Vanessa is a real poison pill in the house now.

Current plan is to get Becky out. Not sure why it switched away from John. Austin/Liz/Julia have been getting really tight with James/Meg, and are stringing along Steve and Vanessa. They have this thing on lock right now.

From what I read at Sucks, Liz is sure that Becky would go after her and her sister while she thinks John would go after Vanessa and Austin so she really wants Becky out.

I don't know if John will see it but the best move for the next HoH would be to put two of James, Austin and the twins on the block.

ETA: These players represent the summum of hypocrisy in BB's history because they've ALL made deals with everyone else. Vanessa may be more hyper than the others but they should come off their high horses.

Liz did not use the veto so it will be between Becky and Johnny Mac on Thursday.
