Previously, on Survivor, the Nachos had dominated the pre-merge game, winning 3 of 4 immunity challenge.
They reached the merge with a 8-4 advantage and the 4 remaining Doritos felt they knew they were in trouble.

When it came to the vote however, the Nachos turned on one of their own and eliminated Does this mean that the old tribes are gone and that new alliances will appear in Opa or was it just a case of having too many members?

The challenge: "Getting Cryptic"

How it works: This is known as a cryptoquote. For those of you who know what this is, then there's no need for me to explain. For those of you who don't, a cryptoquote is a word-based puzzle where one letter represents another.

Think of it like "Wheel of Fortune" where you see words or a phrase and you guess the letters. When you get a letter right, that same letter will propagate though the rest of the puzzle. Eventually you'll be able to piece the words together and solve the puzzle.
Put the pieces together and you've got it.

Do not post your answer in this thread.
The first of you to PM me with the correct quote will win immunity for his Survivor.
I will post the result in the thread as soon as possible to avoid having the rest of you working for nothing.

Yes up to the F4 IC and they can give immunity to the player of their choice.

I want to keep everyone playing so that's why I did it that way. And there is a precedent: The jury won immunity at F4 in PI.

Maybe those that need immunity will play harder.

I will be opening Tribal Council tomorrow evening at 8:00PM and will be accepting votes until Sunday evening at the latest.

At this time, you will be eliminating each other so this is how I will proceed: I will announce the eliminated Survivor and the player that was behind that Survivor.

I will ask you to stop exchanging PMs about the game with the eliminated player. That player shouldn't PM active players either, only other jurors and myself.

Last time I saw him he was passed out at the theater where we had the Loser Lodge awards ceremony. He mixed too many cold and flu medicines for his own good. He should be okay by the morning though!

I don't presume to know what michel is going to say, but as JP (and myself) have done. The only votes revealed are the one's necessary to amp drama.
That means the extras piled on to one survivor often do not get "counted" and the ones that are simply single shots in the dark are also often left unknown.

Sure, it limits the ability to see exactly how every TC falls into line.
But that's where production does it's best work, keeping the players on their toes by breeding doubt regarding votes.
So don't be surprised if he doesn't decide to be as forthcoming as you would hope.

As an audience member, the practice irritates me. As a player, it is maddening.

But, although I do understand that the annoying ploy is an editing staple, I'd never really considered that the actual TC vote remains hidden from the Game's players.

However, even if it is, Survivors have the advantage of being physically close to each other. Of being able to observe (and to hear) who's doing what, where, when, why, how and with whom.

So, I'll take your good advice and forego surprise when Michel turns me down cold.

But, may I reserve a mild, good-natured pfffft for later use?

I think some of you have a pretty clear idea already on who is who. It would give a clear advantage to those who uncovered the identity of other players over those that played it like I asked. They could schmooze the jury while the others would have to be cautious, not knowing if so-and-so is still in the game or not.

You know Michel, you planned this game for everyone to start w/ 2 survivors so we could all get nice & comfy during the first round before the merge.
