Any chance of starting on time tonight?

Any at all?

Isn't there supposed to be a strict 168-hour maximum on Pit Stops?

When I checked See-BS around 5 pm it looked like the game was over. They were filling time with sob stories about kid athletes with missing body parts or screwed up organs and stuff.

So I think it might be on time here.

I don't know if all the games there were showing were over by then or not.

Looks like it finally will be on time! 60 minutes' clock just showed 8 minutes to the hour when it was ten of here, so it is looking good for once!!

And by that same clock, my zone is starting ten minutes late. Apparently this is how they're getting rid of David & Mary's penalty: transfer to the viewers.

All the teams are on the same plane to Kuwait. What a surprise!

The Win Bros are doing it again... teaming up with other teams. "Give them the same tickets."

The Win Bros actually hug David and Mary before they encourage them to go for the Fast Forward! I like these guys.

TEams have to take a number at the water tower for the road block. THere is (no surprise) a fast forward to fight an oil well fire! Road block is to to clim a tower on the outside of the water tower. It is a curved tower and looks VERY SCARY!!
Dustin and Kandice want to do the fast forward but decide not to. THe cho brothers say they're going to go for it but let David and Mary do it.

Roadblock order - not yet complete.
1st - Kimberly
2nd - Tyler
3rd - Sarah
4th - Kandice
5th - Lyn? Karlyn? Can't tell the difference
6th - Erwin

They got puzzle pieces on the top and now have to put a puzzle together at the bottom. THe climb part was easy but the puzzle is causing some problems.

With NokiaPhil and a puzzle for a clue, anyone got a "Treasure Hunter" flashback?

I thought Of Treasure Hunters Too with the cell phone video message.

Let's hope it doesn't follow Treasure Hunters into the great ratings heaven in the sky.

Peter to Sarah: "I think you'll climb here."

Has Peter done anything yet? Does he ever intend to?

ETA: I thought they had a rule, after what? season 2 or 3? that both people have to do the roadblocks. (Or, at least 1 person has to so at least 3 of them.) Did they rescind that? Or, do P&S just self-destruct at the end when he finally has to do something?)

Good question, Mystic. I think the only one he did was the driving task . . . figures a chauvenist pig like him would do the driving task.

Posted by dabo on 10-22-06 at 09:54 PM
They dropped that rule for Family Edition, we've not heard about it since.

I've got to think doing this race was Sarahs Idea and that when she suggested it to Peter she made some kind of promise that if there were any road blocks he didn't want to do, that she would do them.

I say that because Peter really seems to have very little enthusiasm for this race.

Has Peter done a challenge yet? why is it always the non-handicap person that kicks back?

There is the Roadblock Tally over on Fanatics.

Peter has done some of them, like selling flowers and the driving school one.

Just seems he lets her do the really physical ones.

Hi! Peter actually did 4 of the 6 Roadblocks. Sarah only did 2, but they were very physical: this tower climb and the cliff-ascending one 2 eps ago.

David and Mary get Fast Forward, with a comment about how being a firefighter. Zoom baby, last to first.

Manual or automatic... for the automatic, is it just push the button? Too easy.

It's funny how L&K ran after the camel. Yeah, if I were that camel, I'd be running away too!

And finish a respectable 4th place, ahead of the Win Bros.

Interesting race strategy by the Win Bros. It seems they have planned to team up with other teams, and finish in the midst of the pack a lot.

Tyler and James are hopelessly lost and can't find either detour. They may be in danger of elimination!

I cannot stand Peter I am so sorry that Sara is paired with him. I feel sorry only for her.

"Order of Finish"
Posted by EmmaHead on 10-22-06 at 08:53 PM
1st - David and Mary
2nd - Dustin and Kandice
3rd - Rob and Kimberly
4th - Lyn and Karlyn
5th - Erwin and Godwin
6th - TYler and James
Philiminated - Peter and Sarah. They didn't even get to complete the detour because they were lost for so long.
YAY!! No more listening to Peter belittle Sarah!!!

Well, at least Peter and Sarah both realized where they both needed to go with their relationship. Sarah's comments were quite telling, especially about compassion.

I agree. There are more than few TAR couples that should have broken up after the race, but did not. I am so glad that she has a good head on her shoulders.

I love when they go to the Middle East! The Towers were very cool. I liked how it was physical and also mental as well. The Cho brothers really get brownie points, Mary and David owe them..that fast foreward was so easy anyone could have had it. They will have a big lead now too, so many people got lost going pretty much anywhere. The Cho brothers helped Alabama too..not as much but still, they are very helpful. I thought it was interesting there was no greeter tonight...odd. Glad to see Peter go, what a PITA. Sarah was awesome, she climbed the Great Wall, A rock wall in Vietnam and now the towers...good for her!

WOW! I picked right two weeks in a row--well, that's a LOT better than how I did in NFL picks this week

Well, Peter lost it for them by driving around in circles on way to detour--and didn't they both realize it was over when they couldn't even do the detour, but go straight to the pit stop? DUH.

At least they both realized the relationship is OVER.
Peter is not going to have fun explaining himself on the live internet show tomorrow.

I imagine he will pull out the I'm happy with who I am carp he's used to deflect any feedback about how is self-absorbed ways upset other people.

I doubt he'll use this to make any changes, but I do hope I will be suprised by him watching himself when he can reflect on what Sarah said.

Very disappointed that there was a Fast Forward on the le right after a non-elim leg where a team was told that they HAD to come in first.

And is anyone else tired of Mary? That voice!!! God bless the southern folk in the country, but that voice.....

I was only disappointed that the Fast Forward was the easiest one they have ever had. They dressed up in fire gear and then others pushed them up to the fire behind protection. It almost seemed like it was set up to save the last place team. I didn't like it. They should have had to really perform to get that Fast Forward.
