If this is true and TAR11 is All-Stars, it will finish the job of killing TAR that was started with TAR Family Edition. Much of the interest of each new season of TAR is watching the new teams interact with each other and with their surroundings. We already know that Colin/Christie are jerks and Kris/Jon are cool, so why would we want to watch them again? And heaven help us if we get Romber again...

I hope this is just incorrect speculation and not fact.

*crosses fingers*

I don't know.

A show with past winners on it? No thanks, why would I want to watch a bunch of people who already have enough money?

A show with some of the good/memorable players of the past who did not win? Maybe, depending on the mix.

Colin - no thanks. Romber - no thanks. Colin vs Romber - bring it on.

Plus a number of good players have been killed off by bad taxis, this tells us nothing about thier game skills - I would like to see them again.

Last but least, could team Cha-Cha live the good life again? Probably not but I would not mind seeing them try.

I'm going to expect an increase in teams. 14, 15 or maybe even 16 with possibly zero non-eliminations and maybe some double eliminations(like this current season). Maybe TAR can break the curse of bad All-Star editions and actually revive TAR.

No.Romber. I've seen enough of those two.
Unfortunately, any All-Star edition would have to contain their over-exposed DAWness.

I'm worried about an all-star edition. I'm a hardcore watcher and I don't think I'd be as excited to watch people I've already seen. Once was enough for me.

Colin and Christie and BJ and Tyler and Jonathan and Victoria aaaaaagh. Hand me a sick bag!

How about the ones who were first eliminated for each episode? It would suck to be the first one eliminated though.

Maybe they should call it the Comeback season...

But no Romber please!

I will not watch it if Romber is in it.

Romber supposedly has a series in development where they will be moving to Las Vegas where Rob turns professional gambler in an attempt to not lose all of Amber's money.

I know how it sounds, but it was reported here at RTVW awhile back.

MaryKat I know how you feel. I get physically sick by them. But wouldn't it be worth watching to see Colin go at it with Romber and they cancel themselves out?

I might watch an All Stars versions that in nothing put past final 3 teams.

I have Zero interest in watching teams that were eliminated halfway thru one season.

"RE: The Amazing Race 11"
Posted by Ontheroadagain on 10-18-06 at 12:00 PM
OK, if I could pick 11 teams from the previous season, excluding all the winners, here's the teams I would pick:

Kevin & Drew -- TAR1
Nancy & Emily -- TAR1
Tara & Wil -- TAR2
John Vito & Jill -- TAR3
Jon & Al -- TAR4
Linda & Karen -- TAR5
Gus & Hera -- TAR6
Meredith & Gretchen -- TAR7
two of the Paolos -- TAR8
David & Lori -- TAR9
and a team to be determined from TAR10 (maybe Dustin & Kandace, if they don't win.)

Note -- no alpha male teams, but a lot of overweight middle aged people.

"RE: The Amazing Race 11"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 10-18-06 at 12:52 PM
Meredith & Gretchen -- TAR7 are way too old to compete now. Remember even a few years can make a big diffirence at thier age.

Tara & Wil -- TAR2 did they not split up?

two of the Paolos -- TAR8 my head is spinning from the possible combinations - and can you get them to agree on a couple anyway? Well, Mother and Father could override the kids.

"Well then, if you had the choice who would you like to get a second chance?"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 10-18-06 at 12:43 PM
Personally there are few teams I would love to see in a second race.

They all lost in thier original TAR but by now there are older and hopefully wiser.

Team Cha-Cha, these guys knew how to enjoy the race even when not winning.

The girls stuck in the hay field. They clearly have drive, have they learnt to look around?

The two guys who arrived without thier clothes, again good players who had fun during the race. The desert run was a classic.

Gus & Hedra - When I was on Gus's website it showed that he is always up for adventure, during the race as he lose weight he got better. Does anyone know if he is slimmer now?

------------------------------------------------------------------

Middle of the ground:

I like Charla and Mirna, my mom loves them. But after watching my copy of that race about three times I can understand why some don't, but she can pull in the ratings.

None of the older couples, they are all older still now. I don't see any of them lasting more than two legs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Who not to get:

Guidos from season 1. J&V will never be allowed on a TV screen in this household again (who am I kidding, if they are put on, I will be hating them every minute wanting to see them fail, the internet will be full of hate mail too). None of the ugly should be allowed on again. And Colin & Romber seem to get on too many people's nerves.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Why it will be the worse possible players:

Thinking about it as I write this message I already now consider that the worse of the worse will be on.

Most people have a real life to consider, only a small percentage can drop everything for a month just for a small chance to win money (If you are not in the top three you make very little for the time spent) but people like J&V, Colin, Romber are all ego - these people would sign up even if the prize was zero dollars - they want to be seen - these people are media whores and the one thing TAR will lose with them on display is it's family level of entertainment. TAR sometimes slips up there with other players, but with above manics there is no way that a family with young ones can sit down to enjoy the show. And even in adult only families you will end up hating most of the players. Unless a decent team makes it to the final three who want to watch for example J&V, Colin and Romber as finalists?

I think I would like an All star race. However, as many of you have stated, I don't want to see all the winners. I want to see the people with the best personalities. Make this a fun and funny one!

I'm new to this site but I'm so glad to see that most people can't stand the teams that I can't stand - team guido, romber and colin. I do believe that their huge egos and nasty ways inevitable causes them to lose. Who could ever forget team guidos 11 hour fast forward. I think ego has been the downfall for these teams. All three were sure they were the winners and wasn't it poetic justice when they didn't.

according to this, Chip and Kim weren't invited and seem quite peeved about it. I wouldn't want to see Chip and no-task doing Kim on another season and I don't know many who would put them on the 'must see again' lists. I'm annoyed by the fact that they feel they're entitled to a spot just because they won. Lame.

And it looks like Colin and Christie will be back, as well as Charla and Mirna.

Maybe the producers decided that no past winners would be on the all-stars season.

At any rate, I think this'll be the nail in the coffin for TAR.

So the only definites are:
Colin & Christie(TAR5)
Charla & Mirna(TAR6)

Not participating:
Rob & Brennan(TAR1)
Chris & Alex (TAR2)
Flo & Zach(TAR3)
Reichen & Chip(TAR4)
Chip & Kim(TAR5)
Freddy & Kendra(TAR6)
Jonathan & Victoria(TAR6)
Uchenna & Joyce(TAR7)
Rob & Amber(TAR7)
The Linz Family(TAR8)
BJ & Tyler(TAR9)

I would also guess any senior citizen teams. If they couldn't win during their first try, they won't stand a chance now since they're older.

Wow, this is all over the boards! On CBS Tar10 blog site there are definitely some unhappy former racers. Executives are going to do what they want to do. I wonder if the same execs that made the decision to exclude former winners were the same Wonder Licks that decided to give us TARFE that only left the U.S twice.
All of us have our favorites we would like to see on an Allstar Edition and reasons who should be on and who shouldn't. The best way probably would have been a vote by the fans with all ex-racers elgible. Diehard TAR fans like us would have loved to decide who would be on TAR Allstars. After all, websites like these give us the forum to sound off on what we like and dislike about the show. Toad, Michel, Earl, Cahaya, Sittem, and everyone else here, I respect and would love to hear your opinions on the Allstar Edition. There are definitely some worthy racers that did not win so it will be interesting to see who the final 11 or 12 will be.
My family and I truly love this show and will continue to watch for as many years as CBS continues to air it and it is our hope that the ratings do not suffer because many TAR fans were turned off by the teams that were picked. We have made new friends from Australia and Chile just by visiting some the same places were TAR was filmed. Believe me these fans are just as passionate as we are. Up until 2000 we had never traveled outside the US or Mexico. Since then we have traveled to Germany (3 times), Holland, Italy, Chile and Cancun, Mexico for the first time, which were due in part to the Amazing Race. Next year we hope to travel to Spain and Portugal. I have a dream to see Victoria Falls some day.
Anyway, before I keep rambling on anymore I would like to ask Phil, Bertram, Elise, Jerry, and all the Execs at CBS not to mess to much with an excellent product. The 4 Emmys speak for themselves.

I am not fond of an all-stars race, mostly because there are so many people who would love to have the opportunity to go on this show. The all-stars have already had this experience-let someone else have it. Will I watch it? Absolutely-I watched the family one, I will watch this one.

tar_reloaded, I think it is awesome that you have been influenced to see the world because of this show. I just wanted to tell you wherever you decide to go, definitely make your dream come true and go see Victoria Falls. It is absolutely breath-taking. A few tips, the best time to go is in the spring after the rainy season, the river is at its fullest. If you go in the fall, sometimes the river is dried up and only some of the falls work. Visit both sides of the falls and go on a sunset cruise on the Zambeze River.

I'm guessing at least 6 more teams. And like in the All-Star editions of Survivor & Big Brother, I'm expecting more than the usual 11/12 teams. I'll say they'll have 14 teams.

Great list Toad!

If any new rumors or spoilers come thru, I let you know. I heard one interesting one was that since both Victoria was and Christy is pregnant they would not particpate in TAR AS, however Colin and Jonathan would team up! What a side show that would be. Since Eric & Danielle from TAR9 have been rumored why not Jonathan & Colin. But again Kim from TAR5 stated that Jonathan and Victoria would not participate so we'll see.
stay tuned

I think these are all teams that would definitely be considered for All Stars... whether or not they're available is another question. As far as former winners racing again, I think Rob/Brennan and Flo/Zach would be good ones to bring back!

Team Guido (1)
Kevin/Drew (1)
Nancy/Emily (1)

Blake/Paige (2)
Cha-Cha (2)

Ken/Gerard (3)

Jon/Al (4)
Tian/Jaree (4)

Linda/Karen (5)
Charla/Mirna (5)
Colin/Christie (5)

Lena/Kristy (6)
Kris/Jon (6)
Lori/Bolo (6)

Brian/Greg (7)

DJ/Marion Paolo (8)

Ray/Yolanda (9)

Season 10:
Dustin/Kandice?
Cho Brothers?
David/Mary?
Lyn/Karlyn?

YES! NO WINNERS!

Half of the reason many of us did not like to see Rob in the earlier race was because he already won a million, likewise the past winners of TAR. They don't need the money, they have already proved that they can.

Let those who have not won first place and are hungry for it play.

And yes, I am aware that second/third place winners do get money - but it is nowhere near the million dollar first place prize, once you split it two ways it pays off your bills basicly.

"RE: Looks like it..."

It was Amber who won All-Star Survivor, Rob never won anything.

But he sure know how to get his hands on her money , plus the money for second place in TAR, plus the money from selling the wedding, plus a pretty wife who listens to him - and you suggest he has not won? I sure wish I was such a failure!

Rob is currently 0-3 on reality game shows. I'd love to see Romber again just to make it 0-4. Maybe it'll strain their marriage enough to make her dump his gold digging butt, then he'll be 0-5.

Like dabo already pointed out, Rob actually never won anything.

As for "not needing the money," I'd bet that even counting the money Amber won in Survivor: All-Stars, there have been at least a dozen TAR teams that have had a higher net worth than Rob and Amber. Although it might seem like it sometimes, not everyone who competes on the Race is a 20-something bartender or model. The race has also had doctors, dentists, lawyers, stockbrokers, successful entrepreneurs, etc. Just because they didn't make their money on-camera doesn't mean they're not already pretty well off.

"RE: Looks like it..."

You seem to have forgot the wedding - access to Amber's money plus whatever the wedding bought in.

Yes, many of the TAR racers are well off,, that is why they can afford the time away. But none seem to think a million dollars is not worth thier time/effort and just give it away to charity. But for every slot taken up by a Rob or J&V who many don't like (and saw a lot of) there is a loss of a protential to see someone who was not that featured in a past race and who may shine with a second chance.

Really, you can't think a number of non-media-whore teams that you wouldn't like to see given a second chance to learn more about them and to see how thier gameplay will change if given a second chance at the race?

>You seem to have forgot the wedding - access to Amber's

Which was what, maybe a couple of hundred thousand dollars after taxes? A big part of the hook for the wedding special was that the production company paid for a dream wedding, not the amount of money they pocketed for the rights to broadcast it.

>Yes, many of the TAR racers are well off,, that is

This is a good point (although I personally disagree with the idea of bringing back anyone who "was not that featured in a past race' for a second time, that's not what an "All-Stars" edition is supposed to be about and that's why folks were upset Amber was in "Survivor:All-Stars") , but it's not your original point to which I was responding. Your original point was "half of the reason many of us did not like to see Rob in the earlier race was because he already won a million."

My point was thata lot of other former teams were just was well off or more as Rob/Amber and no one seemed to hold it against them. Did you immediately begin to dislike Jonathan when the show's opening credits showed him and Victoria standing in front of their fabulous California home that had a Hummer parked in the driveway or when he later proved himself to become complete ass?

>Really, you can't think a number of non-media-whore teams that you
>wouldn't like to see given a second chance to learn
>more about them and to see how thier gameplay will
>change if given a second chance at the race?

Again, that wasn't the point I was responding to -- saying you don't want to see them compete because you don't personally like them is fine. All I'm saying is that if "they don't need it" is all it takes to make you not like a team, then you should also be rooting against numerous other teams from also returning. As someone who has watched every single season since the show started, I "liked" Season 1's Nancy & Emily but I certainly wouldn't consider them All-Stars material.

"RE: Looks like it..."
Posted by dabo on 10-27-06 at 00:51 AM
I have to agree. While I was happy that Chip and Kim won their edition of TAR, it was not because I thought they needed the money (though they did), it was because they were great racers.

I'd love to see them again.

I didn't hate Jonathan and Victoria in TAR because they didn't need the money (let's face it, the producer of Dorf videos and his Playboy centerfold wife didn't go on TAR because they needed the money), I hated them even though they were a fairly solid team simply because Jonathan was a total ~expletive~.

I do not want to see them in TAR again.

Corvis once described All-Star Survivor as "17 memorable past players and Amber" and that was pretty much how I felt about it. Amber was the also-ran, she was cast after both Colleen and Elizabeth turned down the offer to be on All-Stars, yet she ended up winning the thing.

Rob and Amber didn't lose their edition of TAR because they didn't need the money, they lost it because Rob overplayed his hand, he gambled and lost just like he always does.

If All-Star Survivor turns out to be in any way a predictor for All-Star Amazing Race, keep that example in mind. In All-Star Survivor all the players essentially played the game exactly the same way they tried to play it before. Amber didn't learn anything from her first Survivor experience, she still played the docile submissive, it just worked out for her the second time around.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind at all if Chip and Kim were in All-Star Amazing Race, I really loved those two. But I'll be rooting for the Clowns if they show up again, those guys were great!

For some reason my bracketed comments were missing.
(Wedding snipped)

Still looks like money in Rob's pocket to me.

(What is All-Stars snipped)

And maybe it is time to change what an All-Stars show is then? It seems a lot of people are expressing disappointment with how All-Stars shows turned out in the past. TAR is a diffirent reality show from most with the lack of voting. So let it do All-Stars diffirent from the rest, maybe we will get something enjoyable then.

Rob, first his winning money thru Amber is not the only reason I don't like him, if you read my messages about him during the TAR you would know I have a number of beefs against - Yes, he is not a person I would like personally.

(Snipped comparing to other players)

Sorry, you are wrong. Rob personality is the reason I continued to dislike him even while I liked some of his game-play. And as for J&V (please don't use thier full names, I am sure they search for it all the time ) had me disliking them just from the shot at the start where he kissed the dog instead of his wife, and my opinion of him went downhill from there.

(Snipped expansion of defence)

The problem is Rob already had it all, money, fame, exposure - he did not need more. I don't need to see him more on my TV.

I want to see the ones who looked like they have skills and ability but lost anyway. A lot of these lost due to bad taxis, delayed flights and other things out of thier control - that tells us little about thier game play.

Others still played good then made a silly mistake - did they learn to play better? I would like to see.

And still some others are just plain fun to watch. Lori & Bolo in India! On a train!! I pay money to watch that!!!

Adding this on here just because...

Jon and Victoria recently brought a new child into the world. For all their (mainly his) faults, it doesn't matter, throwing themselves into another reality contest at this time would have been thoroughly reprehensible.

I'll give them credit here. Much as I personally despised them both in TAR, when it comes down to what is actually genuinely really important in this world, they do at least seem to have that act together. They have a new baby to spoil, let's all just hope they don't mess her up too much.

"RE: Looks like it..."
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 11-27-06 at 01:37 AM
???? I don't understand, how can you give them credit when you still don't know for certain that neither will be in an All-Stars-TAR?

Until the players are announced on CBS.com I would reserve giving J. credit he may not deserve. And if he does appear as a racer on the show that can't lower my opinion of him any further since it already has reached rock bottom.

Is everyone forgetting that the plane was held for Uchenna and Joyce, thereby assuring them at least the ability to catch up with Romber? Rob and Amber were WAY ahead of them and should have won TAR7. I think Rob and Amber took the level of play up many notches. Just talking other racers into taking a penalty so they would be assured of not being in last place shows Rob has a great brain. Seems like a bit of jealousy because Rob "has it all."

Not this old chestnut again! And why no mention when Rob was running late and the plane was delayed for him.

How about the latest Rob on the final run of TAR 10? The camera has power wither you like it or not, plus Romber got so lost in Little Cuba that if another plane was leaving soon after then Uchenna and Joyce might have still won.

"RE: Looks like it..."

"Not this old chestnut again!"

Well, tis the season right? Was it down to final three teams when the plane was delayed for Romber? I am asking this because I honestly do not remember. After a while the reality shows seem to meld together somehow. And granted, the camera has power but admit it or not, Rob knows how to play the game. Whether or not anyone else gets sucked into his play is another story. I guess we'll see on TAR AS whether Uchenna and Joyce have better play than Romber.

Looks like we solved who the teams are and is will be 13. The article isn't 100% as is uses "suspected teams" but it quotes Variety as it's source.

http://miami.about.com/od/artsandentertainment/a/amazingrace.htm?terms=jon+and%20kris

The 13 TEAMS COMPETTING ARE:
Kevin & Drew(TAR1)
Joe & Bill(TAR1)
Oswald & Danny(TAR2)
John Vito & Jill(TAR3)
Teri & Ian(TAR3)
Tian & Jaree(TAR4)
Charla & Mirna(TAR5)
Kris & Jon(TAR6)
Rob & Amber(TAR7)
Uchenna & Joyce(TAR7)
Eric & Danielle(TAR9)
David & Mary(TAR10)
Dustin & Kandice(TAR10)

And a source has proven that Kelly/Jon from season 4 withdrew from the race at the last minute, leading to the odd number of 13.

I'd like to see an All-Star Race but with teams that finished 2,3,and 4 without Romber unless Rob races with Colin then i oculd go for that team.

I think it's a good thing that the production has to choose the teams for an All Stars Edition because no matter what, there'll always be someone who is not in favor for certain teams. No matter how much money or on how many shows Rob/Amber have won or appeared, that team made people commented on them a lot, loved them, hated them and loved to hate them. Same thing apply for Colin/Christie. Those teams were very competitive and I could'nt wait until the next week to see them in action, wondering what they would do. I prefer to watch a season with some vilains (without violence)with a lot of action and be 2 feet from my TV than watching all cool teams and having no preference of which one will win.
I also would like to see the Moms in All Stars. They were very competitive too and they both did the roadblocks. I would like to see them compete against women that didn't do much of the roadblocks. That could change the game for them.

I have a TAR all star spoiler. My wife's friend is a neighbor of Kevin from Kevin/Drew fame and tells me that Kevin is doing TAR-all star.

Although I know this type of info usually is greeted with much skepticism, since neither my wife nor her friend are TAR fans and it took several weeks just to get the name of the TAR neighbor, I believe it is probably true.

Reply TAR All Stars scoop
They're currently here in Miami. So far the teams I've seen (that I recognize) are:

Rob & Amber (S7)
Joe & Bill ("Team Guido" from S1)
Charla & Mirna (S5)

I also think John Vito & Jill from S4 are also in it.

They're at Gate A7 of Miami International Airport waiting for an American Airlines flight to Quito, Ecuador. It's not bullshit. I talked to Rob

I don't know if this will help, but Rob & Amber were wearing their matching Red Sox caps, and Team Guido were wearing their fleece jackets with "Team Guido" emblazoned on the back. So, if the players were instructed to dress similar to the way they dressed last time they were on the show, then the guy up at the counter COULD be Blake, but I can neither confirm nor deny.

Hummm Chip said in his last vid that Victoria was not running the race but Jonatnan was? The question is who is Jonathan running the race with then? So I went to Jonathan's my space and he has not loged in since Nov 12. His web site stops at Nov 14. This weeks Globe is all about All Stars asking the same questions about Jonathan.

No idea who he's running with but since they have a new baby I wouldn't imagine she'd leave for a month so soon.

According to some spoilers and my personal opinion:

TAR 1: Kevin/Drew and Team Guidos (fireworks)
TAR 2: Blake/Paige
TAR 3: John Vito/Jill
TAR 4: Jon/Kelly
TAR 5: Colin/Christie and Charla/Mirna (more fireworks)
TAR 6: Lena/Christie
TAR 7: Rob/Amber (hope they team up with Colin:
fireworks,action,competitiveness, love/hate, etc)
TAR 8: (hope nobody but could be the cute blonde/woman)
TAR 9: Mo/Jo
TAR 10: David/Mary

Anybody has somebody else in mind?

According to Andrew from Season 3, he thinks it's:

1: Joe/Bill (Guido)
1: Drew/Kevin (Original Frat boys)
2: Danny/Oswald (Cha-Cha)
3: JV/Jill
4: Tian/Jaree (skanky models)
5: Colin/Christie
5: Charla/Husband
6: Kris/Jon (Smilies)
7: Rob/Amber
9: Dave/Lori (Nerds)
10: Dustin/Kandice (BQs) ...which would mean they're eliminated soon

I might have forgot someone, cause I thought there were twelve on the list, maybe the Clowns from 4?

Are you talking about the video that was only online for a few hours? If so, as someone who actually watched Chip and Kim's video during the few hours it was up and still has an audio recording of the whole thing, I can confirm that Chip didn't say that, he specifically said Jonathan and Victoria weren't participating... and Daily Variety reported the same thing today.

Seems teams departed from Miami Airport to Quito Ecuador, Monday November 20.
Here is a link to Quito:

I don't know how people figured all the countries before we even see the race but they do a great job. We'll know soon enough where they go next.

In a strange coincidence, Chip (of Chip and Reichen from TAR4) actually ran into the teams at the Miami airport at the start of the race. He talks about it on the CBS return of the racers blog.

Here's what he says:
"11/23/06 9:50 am
HOT OFF THE PRESSES!!! The Amazing Race ALL STARS is coming soon….and CHIP ARNDT bumps into MOST OF THE TEAMS at Miami airport for the start of the race..

Well folks, I had to ensure I was not doing any thing wrong before I wrote about this…and now I know I am doing the right thing….so I waited a few days on this topic….but all is clear…..sooooooooo….do you all believe in serendipity?

On Monday as I was leaving Miami to go north for the holidays I ran into, you guessed it, the start of TAR ALL STARS. I was laughing as I saw teams rush through security, okay….I was a little disheartened I was not on it with Reichen, but hopefully I can blog about it all next time. 2 teams saw me and yelled out Chip as I saw them!!!! A mini reunion in the airport ensued. I don’t think the producers knew what to do as I saw a few of them through the corner of my eye keeping their distance, as they never interfere with what is happening real time.

I can say I was very excited and so were they. We all were so happy to see each other and 5 teams asked me why we were not there with them. I simply said that we were considered too fast to be asked back…LOL.

We all hugged and talked for ten minutes. I even was able to give a hug to the SAME camera and sound guys that won with us on our last leg of the race. I LOVED IT. All other emotions aside, TAR has created a family and every one of us loved to see each other. I was thinking that some would not, as I was a bit “serious”…. LOL….on our race but they all liked that and thought that that was an important element to winning. Annnnyway…..what a hoot we had and 4 crews filmed it all. I even had to sign a waiver to use my image…so maybe when the race begins on TV you will see me with the following teams……

Gotcha! Sorry folks….my loyalty runs deep and I won’t disclose which teams are on the race, as I basically know all of them….so my little contest on who is on the race, from now on, will only be me tracking all of your choices. But I can say that I had 7 of the teams on the race on my original list.

So who are the teams and where were they going? For risk of getting anyone upset, let’s not go there and just know that the ALL STARS will be great, I just wish I was there doing it with all of them. WHAT A WAY TO START MY VACATION….and tune in I am sure you will all love it too! "

Woohoooo! I am psyched!

A. I loved Romber in TAR and cannot.wait.to.see.them in this
B. Unlike others, I loathe getting to know the new teams each season because there are some clunkers every time--this allows them to ditch the deadwood and move on with the more entertaining types.
C. Participating on TAR is not a right, it's a gift. There will be other seasons for unknown folks to play. Those who have already played and proven themselves to have fan-value also have every right to play. Only one team per season wins and they don't all deserve it *coughChipKimcough*

Bring it on...can't wait! I'm ready for this season o' the whiners to be OVER!

After all, it is The Amazing Race, not the Amazing Block Party--Vardis

Hey everyone!. Did anyone notice that Dustin and Kandace were not on CBS in the morning. What was shown was a taped interview
that the commentator stated " I caught up with the Blondes a FEW days ago". Also, again they were not on the Finish Line today. The speculation from Toad and Andrew of Season 3 that D& K would be in TAR AS may be true.

Oh yes! I noticed the background was not the usual one. No studio shot with everyone and everything in sight either!

Please note, this could also explain all the hype about an all-girl team winning. This probably was started in the early legs because the girls were doing so good. But why keep on harping it(not editting it out) when the producers knew the BQs did not win?

To build them up for Super-Stars of-course. And it has worked too, I know which team I will very likely be rooting for next season.

David & Mary ok, Team Cha-Cha ok, Beauty Queens a killer team with recent experience in the race.

Beauty Queens, Jonathan & Colin - yes I guess they have me hooked.

"RE: The Amazing Race 11"
Posted by architecturegirl on 12-06-06 at 00:36 AM
ECP - thats exactly what I thought when they got eliminated last night - "Well, I guess the editing was all about getting us to root for them next time around as well".
Which - I definitely will. I think they're the best racers to never win the game. Its like giving Rob C. from Survivor a second chance - but without the voting out handicap that removed all chance Rob C. ever really had of winning All-Stars.
I'm actually excited to see them vs. Romber. THAT should be interesting...it should make the show. For all the Romber haters out there - I hated them on Survivor All-stars, but enjoyed them on the Amazing Race. But no matter what you think of Romber - Seriously. D&K vs. R&A? GREAT television. I cant wait to watch. Wouldnt it be great fun to see the girls kick Rob's ##### at his own way of playing? Please god, let that happen. That would be too good to be true!

And for everyone scared or wary of an All-Star TAR - the vital difference between this and Survivor and Big Brother? No voting out. Who's truly the best? They'll get to prove it. On their own merit. No one can vote them out because they dont like them, or because they're a "threat" because they were good in their own season. Thats what makes TAR so great. I have full faith in an All-Star TAR.

When I heard about Rob and Amber on the show again, I thought I was going to be sick. But after reading that Colin and Christie are going to be there too (another team I can't stand), now I can't wait to see these two cancel themselves out. It will be interesting to see which of these two teams are the nastiest.

I don't understand why people do not want to see some of the most competitive teams in all-stars. That is who should be on all-stars. I myself and am disappointed that we get Team Schmearna and Kentucky. Come on, these teams stand no chance. At least Kentucky was popular with the viewers. I can not think fo anyone who liked Schmearna. I would love it for once if they just took all the teams that were the most competitive and let us viewers see who is the Amazing Race All-time Champion. If they had a race with just all the winners I would love that too. This is not like Survivor where people vote. This is an actual race and having the most competitive teams makes a better race.

Excellent work Philadelphia!

I'm sure Toad can confirm this as we now have physical proof of Charla/Mirna & The Guidos. Toad, any other photos I missed?
With eyewitness accounts I'm sure the list is pretty close.
With reports of locations in Quito, Ushuaia, South Africa and now Malaysia this shows C/M made it at least 4 legs.

I counted 14 shots of Dustin and Kandice last nite and probably 7-8 of David and Mary. Was that obvious or what that they will be on Tar Allstars?

keep up the good work!

This is final 5 in Malaysia which sounds pretty accurate considering they have been racing since November 20th. There are pics of Charla/Mirna, Eric/Danielle, Danny/Oswald, and Dustin/Kandice. The spoiler overheard that the 5th team was an African-American couple (likely Uchenna & Joyce) whose flight was delayed. The spoiler also overheard that they came from Poland.

"RE: The Amazing Race 11"
Posted by Earl Colby Pottinger on 12-12-06 at 00:47 AM
1) I hope it is not Uchenna & Joyce, I don't want past winners in the race.

2) Danny/Oswald ??? Team Cha-Cha? I like they, hech I love how they played the game before, but to make it to the final 5? I am having a hard time believing that unless they have really change personalities in the last couple of years. They did well in TAR 2, but this time they are competing against experienced players. Oh well, will not be the first time I was totally wrong.

3) Charla/Mirna! What did they do? Replay the tapes of Mirna over and over to her while burying her in a pile of meat so she learn to lug the dirty stuff without whining?

4) If they are in the race I have no surprise that they made it this far.

5) Eric/Danielle. Don't remember enough about them to make a comment.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Point, if this spoiler is true it looks like Romber-Colin- and he should not be name 'J' canceled each other out. And that could be lots of fun watching how they do that.

I am not believing any of the spoilers at all.. They have flown all over the place and no 2 lists are the same. You can't have one team in the rumored 3rd leg and then they arent in the the previous leg..

I also highly doubt that any winners are going to be chosen. It would be such a stupid thing to do..

Is anybody find that odd that there are no picks, since Ushuaia, from many teams. All we know is 4 teams have been seen in Malaysia + possibly Uchenna/Joyce and it's said that they are the final 5.

What about Kevin/Drew, Rob/Amber, Guidos, Jon/Kris... They are really strong teams and Charla/Mirna have beaten them?????? WOW! It's so hard to beleive. What do you think?

What if the Production, for a new twist, has split the teams, like they can choose where to go between 2 country or 2 cities as long as they arrive at the same pit stop. That could be a good twist and more difficult for us to find out where the teams are.

Interesting idea. Kind of like the cool way that they producers tricked teams in 'Treasure Hunters'. There were two starting lines and two groups who eventually met up. Would be a great twist!

Except that it would be a logistical nightmare for Phil and the crew - he's always just a few steps ahead of the teams filming the clue box comments, etc. I dont think they could split up the teams and still have him doing his commentaries.

I don't see why not!

There still is only one pit-stop, so he can meet and greet them all there. And clue box comments can still be filmed ahead of time. And it longer layover (1.5 days instead of the usual 12 hours) and he can still be waiting at the pitstop before the first racers get there.

Or decoy teams taking one leg while the still playing teams are on another. That seems to be what happened with the Chos & BQs in this last TAR.

I was thinking about that. But wasn't the "sighting" of the Chos and BQs in New York City? Maybe they were just making their way to the finish line and people thought they were still racing.

The major problem I have with this theory is that the race started on November 20th and the spoiler took these pictures on Sunday, December 10th. That means they have been racing for almost 3 weeks so several teams would HAVE to be gone by now. A final 5 after 3 weeks of racing seems very accurate. If the spoiler is lying about the date he took the pictures, then anything is possible!

Eric was from the Frat boys that finished second in TAR9. Danielle was from the Double D's that were eliminated early on in TAR9. Here's a good picture of them taken in Malaysia from the spoiler:

No, it would be the VERY smart thing to do, at least from the ratings and drama perspective. Rob and Amber were confirmed from a sighting at the Miami airport on Nov. 20, and if you have Rob and Amber, you MUST have Uchenna and Joyce...think of the storyline! And now, the spoiler info which I do believe has U&J outlasting Romber. I like it.

I also had a hard time with this spoiler when I first came across it but I also doubted that Lyn/Karlyn made final 3 based on the TAR10 spoiler pics taken at the Eiffel tower and that turned out to be true!
This is photographic evidence and the spoiler posted enough details to make me believe he/she spent some time spying on the action in Malaysia. Sure, they could be decoy teams even though TAR hasn't run decoys outside the U.S. before. Sure, there could be two sets of teams racing in different locations. However, I'm going to go with 'the simplest explanation is usually right' theory and take this as it is.
Can't wait for more solid spoilers!!

I can't believe the spoilers I hear since they are so random the spilers for this race did indeed have bama in the finals. In other spoilers people also said the Cho's and The Blondes were sighted in NYC So i mean yeah take it for what it's worth. and photos can easily be photoshoped so i dont know

"Race ends this weekend"
Posted by railfan on 12-14-06 at 06:29 AM
Looks likely that this Sunday (or possibly Saturday) will be the day that Phil is at the finish line in some isolated spot within 50 miles or so of a major airport, likely serving international flights. It will be one day short of four weeks since the Miami start on Nov. 20, and it sounds like time for everyone in possible finish areas to be on the lookout.

I find it highly unlikely that the race would be only 28 days long. No previous race has been that short. What is your source for this information?

TARflies Forum, spoiler thread, babalu's 12/15 post, as extensively discussed at Sucks---several philiminated teams were spotted heading back to the US, which by process of elimination from the Malaysia final five pics gives us the likely final 3, as of about 48 hours ago.

Still, the Race began (as per the Miami sighting) on Nov. 20. 27 days would be an amazingly short race (as in 6-7 days shorter than any previous race). More likely, the later sighting is being misinterpreted, and there is still a week left of the race.

I hope so, cause maybe they will be travelling on Saturday, when I will be too!

"Order of Finish"
Posted by EmmaHead on 03-04-07 at 01:58 PM
Here's the order for TAR11 according to television without pity spoilers. They're right on the first two teams but I still hope the rest is wrong! I really don't want to see Romber go this soon as I LUV them and I would HATE seeing Schmirna in the finals because they are sooooo obnoxious!

11th: John Vito & Jill
10th: Kevin & Drew
9th: Dave & Mary
8th: Rob & Amber
7th: Teri & Ian
6th: Bill & Joe
5th: Uchenna & Joyce
4th: Danny & Oswald
3rd: Charla & Mirna
2nd: Dustin & Kandice
Winners: Eric & Danielle

One nation, under Romber...
