Welcome to some other distinctive towers in Kuwait. Yep, they're all over!

Our Racers' first task this week was to find the phallic thingies in the picture on the Motorola Nokia phone. This is kind of like a clue, where you don't just get told to go somewhere, you have to figure out where that somewhere is first.

I would just like to say here that I have no idea what this "Treasure Hunters" thing is that I keep hearing about. And what kind of a name is "Laird" anyway? Pfft. "Laird"

David and Mary: You're team number one! As a reward, you get our first product-placement prize - a trip to Jamaica, where you'll meet all kinds of other kinds of people. Won't that be fun? The Roaming Gnome will be along to moon you shortly.

Dustin and Kandice: You're in second place despite getting lost, having people hide the bead shop from you, incorrectly completing the Detour and not being able to get Lyn and Karlyn's Arab guy to help you. Alright.

Rob and Kimberly: I suppose it was technically a good strategy not to let Dustin and Kandice see what shop you'd come out of, but it didn't do you much good.

Lyn and Karlyn: Well, I wouldn't say that this is the best you'll do in the Race, but you probably won't place higher than fourth.

Erwin and Godwin: You took an almighty risk sending David and Mary off to do the Fast Forward and thus saving their skins. But the Fates smiled upon you and you got fifth place.

Tyler and James: Dudes, the girl teams are beating you. *Lyn* and *Karlyn* are beating you. Beating. you. Pick up the pace, boys.

Peter and Sarah Bye now. See ya. You don't even rate a Native Greeter.


Administrative Notes:

Please keep the game in the game thread or Bebo will come and kick your butt. You know she will.

New players are welcome! All the Racers, as well as The Native Greeter, Phil's Golf Equipment, Phil's Turtleneck and Sarah's Leg have been spoken for.

Anyone may post as a camera or sound person (see sign-up thread for sigs, if you like), Lyn and Karlyn's "Arabic" guy, a camel or whatever. Be creative!

Welcome to Kuwait!

I'm certainly proud of the winners, David and Mary. Even though you are obviously way behind in learning about the necessities of life (like cell phones). You must have been very kind to get the Cho Bros give you the Fast Forward. David got to live out his dream of being a fireman. Great job.

Now if only I could get you to switch from coal to oil.

The other teams -- I just don't get what's so hard about reading maps with such simple street names! Fifth Ring Road! Sixth Ring Road! What could be simpler??
And all of our citizens are so helpful. Where else would strangers be given a police escort -- with lights and sirens!

Peter and Sarah -- so sorry I missed you, but the contract I signed with EPMvM didn't extend past midnight. And besides, Phil was starting to get -- shall I say -- a little weird standing out there in the desert so long. He was calling me "gnome-boy" and asked if I could "roam" with him.

Woohhoo We came in SEcond again. Are we going to end up like the Linz teams and not win a leg at all, but keep getting in 2nd , but all that counts is a the last leg to get in first. 1 million dollars. You noticed that we have yet to come in last plae but once due to the stupid row boat. We should of gotten wet on that leg and showed phil our oobies. Then he be like Dustin and Kandice you are team number 4. Becasue OOBIEs he likes.

Woo hoo, this leg was so much like being in labor. Talking to that camel jockey was SO hard! Not to mention Dustin and Kandace...Climbing a ladder (I'm not even sure if I did it or not) and putting together a puzzle...so much worse than having a baby!

By the way, Karlyn, I think I might be pregnant. Phil let me go get a sonogram during the time at the pitstop, and it showed the shape of a little gnome hat. Those gnomes do roam, you know!

Oh my dear Lyn, the heat must be getting to you. I did the roadblock again. You know, I seem to be doing a lot of the physical roadblocks. Do I look thinner to you? I think I'm losing weight with all the walking and climbing we're doing.

And don't you think people should be impressed with how we drove to the detour task without getting lost. Those Cho brothers...no faith in us at all and bailed on us. Oh well, we checked in before them.

Um, about the pregnancy thing...you'd best keep that quiet. You might upset the Barbies.
