Will it be delayed or joined in progress?

Should I continue posting?

It's delayed so we get the whole thing (finally started) but it is great for those who actually get to see the show when scheduled post.

First of all, I was not happy at how late the show got started. I sat through half of 60 minutes first...wasted time, I only watch Andy at the end usually.

In terms of the race...I thought it was an interesting twist at giving the teams now money until they could make it at the roadblock. I liked it.

Tom and Terri are dumb...read your clue for God sake, it almost cost you the race!! You were on that bus with plenty of time to go over everything. I loved how during the penalty, and each team rolled in past them, Phil was like "guys this really must suck", that was the line of the night. They got lucky.

I felt bad for team Rhode Island...they came so close. Anyone who had the patience to make a bird cage should win lol. I will be in Canada next weekend, I better make sure to still get CBS!!

The blonds are being smart, if someone leaves an openning take it!

And then a turned over truck messes up the positions of the leading teams.

I agree. The blondies did the right thing. They are in a race. Did Tom & Terry expect the others to stand and wait while a ticket agent sat there? It was their mistake.

TAR started at 8:35 here.

This is really going to help ratings. I guess they are hoping peeps with Nielson boxes are too drunk after the CBS football game to change the channel.

I don't think it will help ratings...the last half is going up against Desparate Housewives.

It is not looking good for the father and daughter. They have no money left and have to walk to the next point while everyone else takes a taxi.

The father and daughter caught up at the detour. But Peter and Sara got on the wrong bus and have now lost alot of time.

Finally! God CBS really does want this show cancelled (and they'll say it's because of poor ratings).

Tom and Terry have just broke the rules. I wonder if they will get a penalty?

Yes, Tom and Terry are getting a 30 minute penalty.

The shoving and snatching was ridiculous. I was glad to see two teams stop for a bit.

Whoops, Tom and Terry rode on the backs of motorbikes. I guess they'll get a time penalty. Unless they've changed the penalty to something else.

Bye Duke and Lauren. I was hoping they'd get to the mat before Tom and Terry's penalty time was up but oh well.

How long after the penalty ran out did they get there?

I have to leave before the show ends to get to work on time, so I missed the last ten minutes.

--gotta love Tribe and his awesome siggies!
The good news is that Godwin/Erwin finally came in first. Woot for me at Jims' Casino!

"What was the arrival order at the mat??"
Posted by ceedee on 10-01-06 at 10:26 PM
Which hot guys came in first - and who came in last? I'm tabulating our school betting pool results and I need help over here on the west coast!

"RE: What was the arrival order at the mat??"
Posted by michel on 10-01-06 at 10:37 PM

Final order:
1- Edwin & Godwin
2- Tyler & James
3- Rob & Kimberly
4- Dustin & Kandace
5- Peter & Sarah
6- Lyn & Karlyn
7- David & Mary
8- Tom & Terry (They were second before the 30 minute penalty so all teams are very close)

Philliminated: Duke & Lauren

Thanks - in error I had assumed the "hot guys" were the male models, and tabulated the leg results accordingly - oops - have to fix that!

They got 30 minutes in the penalty box. Who decides these things?

I checked out Wikpedia, which says:

Penalties and time credits

The standard penalty for minor rule infractions is 30 minutes plus the time advantage gained (if any) by disobeying the rule. This penalty is known to apply in the following cases:
Using a prohibited form of transportation. For example, a team that takes a taxi when the clue specifies that they must walk would receive a penalty (Frank & Margarita and Joe & Bill, Season 1; Heather & Eve, Season 3; Reichen & Chip, Season 4) or to take a bus to a destination, when the clue specifies to take a train (BJ & Tyler, Ray & Yolanda, Season 9; Lake & Michelle also took the bus, but were not assessed the penalty, due to arriving last at the pit stop). The penalty was revised to 15 minutes in Season 9.

In this case, I'm not sure if they reverted back to a 30 min penalty - or if it was a 15 minute penatly plus 15 mins for time gained.

But you got to admit it made it a little nail biting. Normally you don't care that much about who comes in after third place until the final slot needs to be filled. This time as each and every team came in you wondered if they all would make it within the 30 minutes!
