In 'honor' of our current HoH, Haves/Have-Nots will now be referred to as 'segregation'.

I was going to take that line of thought along for a few more paragraphs, but it got nauseating in a hurry.

Way to go, KKKaitlin!

Meanwhile, Candice has been speaking to Aryan in HoH -- no, I don't know how that happened either -- advising her to break up McCrae and Amanda while there was still time. Aryan immediately turned around and relayed that to the proposed targets while saying Candice was threatening her. Ooooh. Big threat, giving someone a game strategy. The rats should be removing Candice any minute now.

And just to scare you: a few minutes ago, Elissa announced that she has a sixth sense. No, wait -- that's the wrong term. It's actually a first sense, because she trusts it before turning to sight, hearing, taste, touch, or smell. It is her God Sense. Do you think that's her sense of the deity's presence? Wrong. It is what her deity tells her to think. Or at least whatever voice in her head passes for same.

That would generally be the point where most people would start counting exits.

oof.
Pretty clear the girl has no backbone yet is replete with low self-esteem.
People can only hear you when you actually speak, KKKaitlin.
And if we didn't hear you stand up for minority-sided issues, then you didn't say anything. Got it?!

Worst part of it is she actually admits that she let's things slide by...often.
“I actually stand up for a lot of gay people..."
And by "a lot" she means her queercrew back home. Consisting of a maximum of three. But only when in their presence and only if it's obviously meant to be mean spirited. Cause if it's funny, than it's okay.

She also thinks it's okay to use a term against a minority, if they already use it themselves...
...Candice went around the house all the time saying that she had a white side and a black side
Therefore, it becomes free and clear for you to utilize, KKKaitlin?!
Perhaps in front of your small group of your personal self-involvedies.
But you never call a f** a f**. You never call a n***** a n*****.
And you don't ask a black girl to see her black side.

Aaryn as HOH? Now that will be interesting! How many TV sets will be destroyed?

(4th Reich? Really?? Feels just a wee bit disproportionate but, then again, it does follow Godwin's law)

Have-Nots: Amanda, Candice, Judd, and GinaMarie. It was a team challenge with construction and balance elements, and those names make it sound like teams were randomly assigned -- it's hard to see Aryan letting GinaMarie go on slop.

Nominees... Howard (surprise!) and Spencer. So it sounds like Aryan is currently trying to avoid too much in the way of payback next week, at least for the quantities beyond what she'd already earned. (Anyone want to call a Candice win on Thursday and save the trouble of watching it?) I would guess Howard's the primary target there, but they're all more than a little paranoid about who the MVP is going to put up and I'm not sure they're expecting a public vote two weeks in a row.

Meanwhile, Amanda has taken her own dive deep into Lake Inappropriate with some comments about Candice. Hair was prominent, and if you believe the word 'nappy' is on the racist list (many do if it comes out of a paler-skinned mouth), then the line has been crossed so often that we've barely got a series of dashes left in the road.

Getting more fun in there every day.

On the bright side, since Aaryn kept her word to Helen, I don't have to call her any nasty names -- for now.

Which tells me the frau may have controlled this vote.

I'm serious. There are a lot of female viewers who think exactly like Elissa does. 'One-piece. Attack!'

Actually, those women would have attacked if Amanda had worn a habit.

ETA: Extra Veto players are Candice and Jessie. Aryan is already freaking out about the possibility of Candice winning and taking Howard off the block: in that scenario, she's said she'll put Elissa up.

Discussions of whether this will be another prizes/temptations Veto. Judd has said he might give in for a $10 Walmart gift card.

This just ended: the feeds came back up a couple of minutes ago to find Spencer with the necklace and show everyone Aryan talking to Helen and Elissa in the storeroom, telling them her plan is to put up Candice as replacement to keep Howard from trying anything.

Oh, sure... that's her motivation...

So it looks like the target is solidly Howard under the ongoing Eat The Strong policy. However, given the sheer amount of Candice-bashing in the cage... well, one flinger is HoH and another is a nominee, so take out those votes and it's probably still Howard.

I'm anticipating a whole lot of ugly.

ETA: And the ugly begins. Aryan is now declaring that she knows Candice will call her racist for putting two non-Caucasians up together, and -- get ready for this -- Candice has said Aryan is racist one million times. Candice is trying to destroy Aryan's life and Aryan has never said a single racist thing. And if Candice confronts her, Aryan will directly accuse Candice of working to destroy Aryan's life. Candice has single-handedly ruined Aryan's reputation in the cage.

Everything is Candice's fault. Ev.Er.Y.Thing.

*closes Jokers window*

That's all the delusion I can take for one night.

Who should she put up instead? There are three strategists in the house: Helen, Amanda and Spencer. Since Aaryn has some sort of deal with Helen, it was wise to go after people that aren't close to Helen.

Howard and Spenser are close allies so nominating them was the best move. Spenser got veto so who else should be nominated besides Howard's other close ally? Strategy 101 really. I guess it's more amusing to see racism but don't tell me Candice wouldn't vote to keep Howard around. Putting her up takes one vote away from Howard.

Since Aaryn has some sort of deal with Helen, it was wise to go after people that aren't close to Helen.

THIS is exactly why Helen thought they should align in the first place. "We can't take out our own alliance members, so, I will take out yours and you can take out mine."
The farther away from Helen's alliance members Aryan gets the harder it's going to be for Helen to make it to finals.
And if I were Helen, I'd almost be insisting she sticks to the original "plan".

Thank Cow I'm not Helen.

It's WAY too early for Helen to be going after her alliance mates especially since none are very cunning. There's still what? 12 people in the house? Helen will need to get rid of the allies that aren't in her inner core at some point but not this early. At this stage, she has to go after the other strategists, the ones that can form counter alliances.

Spencer and Howard have been the most active and none of their alliances have included Helen, Elyssa, Amanda or Aaryn. They couldn't get Spencer, they need to make sure Howard goes and nominating Candice increases the chances of that happening.

"RE: Veto competition over."

Incidentally, maybe I should clarify my position.

I'm not necessarily saying that Aaryn put up Candice (this week) mainly because of racism, although it might have been an additional reason. If I was in Aaryn's shoes, I'd put Candice up too for the simple reason that she's allied with Howard (and Spencer) -- and I'm white and anti-racist!

What I'm complaining about is Aaryn's remarks that Candice will accuse Aaryn of racism for putting up two non-whites and Aaryn's denying that she said a racist thing in her life! Strategy I can accept, self-delusion is something else.

"RE: Veto competition over."

And to clarify my position; I'm not saying that Aaryn isn't a bigoted idiot just that she's only a DAW playing a game. The uproar I see directed at her would be more useful if directed at all our corrupt politicians, shady business leaders and criminals.

I read that some of Kaitlin's worse detractors hated her because she had an abortion. Isn't that crossing the line between the game and real life?

Early this morning:

Aryan: "I do not say racial slurs, that would be in front of America, that could harm me."

A few minutes later, GinaMarie said her Twitter account is private. (Verified by Hamsterwatch.) Aryan told her that's not good for publicity. Aryan's Twitter was public when the season began and then went private. PR team, yay!

And a few minutes after that:

Aryan: "Do you think I should do a tweet that says White Power or no?"

Judd: "Hell no."

Aryan "OBVIOUSLY! Did you think I was serious?"

...yes?

Some more of the #facepalmheaddesk conversation from Jokers.

" Aaryn "So you guys think I should do a tweet that says white power?” Judd says she shouldn’t she then cracks up and says she was kidding. She then says she wishes she had a hoodie. Aaryn brings up the Confederate flag. She says people think it’s racist and Judd says he thought it was just a Southern thing and Aaryn says she thought that too but she guesses there is some stuff behind it (but she doesn’t have any idea why people would think the Confederate flag is racist) Aaryn then says " You can’t do anything..... you can’t breath or you’re racist”

Aaryn starts bashing on Candice and says she’s going to say something like saddle up to her when she is finally evicted.

Cognitive dissonance overload.

Everyone agree Howard whispered something to Amanda, and she is spending a lot of time in the DR.

Most think he didn't say what she said he said, so is lying to try to make production remove him from the house.

No idea if the sound people caught more than the feedsters, but most think Amanda is just stirring up drama to save herself, or because she is evil, or something.

Oh and Candice has replaced Spencer on the nominee couch.
So, Amanda vs Candice vs Howard.
And while Howrad is pretty much enemy #1, anything Amanda does to draw attention to herself could indeed spell danger for her. People will start putting the numbers together and Amanda and McCrae will need to be split up.
I still think Howard will be the evictee on Thursday but we are all aware of how things can change quite quickly.

I don't think Chenbot or anybody else will bust Aaryn about her racism on the air. They'll want to get that woman off the TV as fast as they can. Somebody will clue her in in private after they get her off camera, but nothing good can come out of an on camera confrontation for CBS or Chenbot, so they'll tell her to dodge the issue.

"More Fun With Aryan."
Posted by Estee on 08-01-13 at 07:38 AM
In the latest round of #blameCandice, we got these gems:

The bed story has been going around again. However, Aryan has changed a minor detail. From this point forward, she wants America to know she was making Candice's bed. Presumably because she's just that nice a person. And Candice somehow took it the wrong way.

Also, Candice was raised wrong. She did not have a proper family. Because she was adopted. That's right: if you're adopted, you won't be raised right by a proper family. As opposed to, y'know, the sterling education in values one receives through growing up in an orphanage.

Turning away from Delusion Central for a moment, Amanda and Spencer went at it. (Warning: not PG13.)

http://bbdish.blogspot.com/2013/07/kaboom-amanda-v-spencer.html?m=1

Helen is doing a pretty good job of svcking up to Aryan, mostly by pretending she never believed there was any racism at all. Aryan, who may have on some level realized that she's running out of allies and is potentially approaching the point where she might work with That Which Is Not Me for more than a week, just says she tells offensive jokes because she's from the South. Which aren't racist. Because Aryan just makes beds and people take it the wrong way.

Amanda's claim that Howard was inappropriate was squashed by the rats. However, we can probably look forward to him exiting 8-0 anyway. (Remember, this would be the last pre-jury boot.) Most people are expecting an endurance competition tonight, and that the Dingo feels the cage is too crazy for many hamsters to be secure with deals: this could go long.

Oh, and the president of CBS is so disgusted by this group that he intends to leave the show on the air forever.

I'm sure the guy who's concerned with ratings recognizes the value of this group in terms of great ratings -- you love some and you definitely hate some! But he does have a point in one area: there are people who really think like Aryan & GinaMarie (and Kaitlin, for that matter) out there. This might help us see the ugliness of racism, sexism and homophobia, especially racism.

Sorry, Belle and I know you don't mean it with malicious intent, but placing more importance on one kind of "ism", being MORE important than another, is yet another kind of bigotry in itself.
NO ONE should be a second class citizen, NOR should they wait behind another group for the same exact rights.

Sorry about the misinterpretation. I think all three are equally bad and I don't like sexism and homophobia any more than I do racism. Racism is just more of a red button for me than the other two areas -- and oddly enough, I'm a white female.
