Neat show. Very 'Twin Peaks'.

Should be great fun to bash in the summaries. This'll be a great season.

Wasn't too crazy about the girl, Mary. Kinda dumb. But, sexy, and that's what sells.. heh.

I must say that I am hooked! The show is kinda kooky at times, but I just love it!

Oh, and I'm probably the only one, but I have this soft spot for our IRS man. Every since SB showed the vidcaps, I was mesmerized by Jim's eyes. Although, he's no Sherpa!

OMH, those eyes are dreamy, even if Jimmy is a little dweeby.

If they'd had mountains, cherry pie, and a dancing midget, I'd have thought it was Twin Peaks. The look, the lighting, the dialog, all screamed Twin Peaks. This show will not appeal to the masses, just the freaks, like me!

I liked it, dunno if I will try to find the clues or not yet.

Agreed, on both counts.

This show was like a cross between "Twin Peaks" and "Murder In Smalltown X", with a little mob action thrown in for kicks.

I walked in on the party about fifteen minutes into it... I have it taped so I can go back and see the rest. I was not particularly impressed with it. A guy just murders another guy in front of the IRS agent... and doesn't kill him too? Yeah, right.

I did like the "Ring Of Fire" song at the end... very appropros for the whole thing.

And, as a side note, since this was coming from Ben Affleck & Co., I was looking for political "statements" that I would be sure to disagree with... and I found plenty of them. But I won't discuss those here.

Yes, you walked about the time they started the 'political influential monologue from our protagonist jim'. Heh.

I'm forgot to mention (how? it was so blatant) the pimping of all the other ABC shows. How tacky.

But, I loved Twin Peaks. Jim Prufrock has all the makings of Special Agent Dale Cooper: the by the book MO, the need to do the right thing, the 'I-may-seem-wimpy-but-don't-piss-me-off' attitude, even the cute, innocent, good-boy looks they both have. I have mini-crushes on both. Hey, at least I'm consistent.

I don't think it was meant to be serious hon, it was very tongue in cheek, and it worked, it was very funny.

You and me, sister, adorable. But Femme, what will eee think?

The show was a lot of fun, total rip of Twin Peaks, but still highly entertaining.

And I loooooved the actress playing Mary, she did a great job, I can totally see why this guy will be infatuated by her.

I watched it twice because I was doing "work" while watching it. The thing that hit me most was when Jim walked by that house watching Alias--I could just think of Webby watching Alias with his video caps.

I haven't decided if I like this show or not yet. But I am intrigued enough to give it at least one more shot.

Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed. Or worse, expelled.

I'm not sure I got it either.....It seemed like it was trying too hard to be like Twin Peaks......Kinda forced.
I will give it another try though.

Agree with both you and Draco - I'd like to have a pool about what episode and how far in before we have some dancing midgets. I'm probably gonna watch one more show to give it a shot, but having it on the same night as S5 just makes it real tough to give it any major attention. There's only so much time in life after S5 and TAR3 - I even wish both of them weren't on in the same timeframe.

One thing I am curious about - what is so "magical" in town in the 9-9:15 p.m. timeframe? Inquiring minds want to know - especially those of us who are married.

I was intrigued by the TV Guide description, "Twin Peaks, the Game." It is Lynch-like (I keep watching for the Log Lady) and worth watching to see where it goes. I have missed a quirky show like Twin Peaks, Picket Fences, or Northern Exposure so I am interested in sticking with it for a while. But, from what I've read here, I can see that I have no time in my life to keep track of clues, what with S5 and TAR about to begin and BB3 about to end. So I'll be happy to check in here and see how you all are doing with the clues.

One question I've been wondering about. If the purpose is to collect clues in order to win all that money, how do they expect the internet crowd to share their spoiling if that means giving someone else the products of your sleuthing and increases the competition for the prize??? I know that this board fosters only love and cooperation between the peeps, but I'll be interested to see how much is shared as the prize gets closer! LOL!

I had the show on while doing other stuff so I was only paying half-attention to it. But I was taping it so I will tape the next episode and then sit and watch both together. I loved TWIN PEAKS. But I don't know if I will be watching for the clues in this one. Maybe just sit back and watch without figuring anything out.

Too bad Affleck and Bailey didn't get Angelo Bandalementi (sp?) for a haunting score. THAT was one of my favourite things about Twin Peaks.

My husband hated it...quelle surprise...but I am intriqued enough to watch a little further.

I am a huge Twin Peaks fan, but Affleck is not Lynch. It isn't worth a million dollars to watch this turkey.
