"Did you ever get the feeling..."

Do you ever get the feeling that Dr. Stan would be the most popular choice for a life coach? He seems to bring these women back to reality a heck of alot quicker than Rhonda and Iyanla. Do you ever get the feeling that Rhonda seems to just go through the motions with some of the ladies and truly cares about others...Do you ever get the feeling that Iyanla just wants to shake some of these ladies and say cut the crap and other times gets hoodwinked by stories that relate to her own life? Do you ever feel like this season it is really hard to care about any of the guests because they are so unlikeable? I get so aggrivated this season. Everyone keeps using buzz words like "tools", "standing in my truth" "supportive", blah, blah, blah! I just can't figure out why I am so addicted!!! Is it because we all relate to each of their stories in one way or another with the difference being we just don't have the crazy impulse to display it for all the world to see. Do you ever get the feeling that life in suburbia isn't all that bad afterall?

I LOVE Dr. Stan for his straightforward style! But here is the reason he is so popular and so effective. He's a real therapist!!! If you go to real therapy you are asked insightful questions about yourself, your actions and your feelings. You are not told to lay in a faux swamp, peddle junky jewelry or forced to dress like a baby for the day.

I would watch a whole show with him but I doubt he'll ever get one because he doesn't do the gimmicks. Although I got worried early this season when he had Christina standing on that bullseye defining her boundaries. But notice he never did that again. I think he might of pitched a fit and said never again.

He treats the women with dignity and respect. Two words that are not in the other LC's bag of tricks.

I like him a lot as the SOH therapist. He seems to be a very reasonable minded person overall. The only thing I can recall that he did that I really disagreed with was his suggestion to Kim's mom to give her a pony party to make up for all the missed birthdays. I did not follow his logic on that one as I felt it was more of a reminder of all the 'normal' childhood events that she missed.

Dr. Stan has the utmost integrity. And he doesn't say things like "be a great day".

Maybe Dr. Stan could have talked Bethany into staying. Also, he might have gotten her to quit constantly saying "it sucks" when referring to the death of her daughter. Couldn't she come up with a more appropriate word to describe her feelings?

I think it might have something to do with going to a real college, getting a real medical degree in phychology as appose to IV's Universe degree is spirtual torture and voodoo priestess.

Seriously he has the training to be able to do the job. I'm thinking he has an attorney on call paid for by the show just to insure he can't be sued for anything IV or Rhonda does that he could later be held accountable for not stopping that would be considered malpractice. After watching this show I'm not sure any insurance company in the world would cover him without assurance he couldn't be held accountable for their actions hurting his clients.

I do think he's kind and calm and usually doesn't resort to the crazy and demeaning exercises that the LC's do. He talks to the women with respect like they are reasonable adults. I wonder about the turtlenecks and colorful velvet blazers though. Has he been hanging around with Andy? And someone needs to lend him a razor. He looks like he just woke up.
