He's an idiot businessman.

He once bragged that he bought a Bentley with his BB winnings.

Did you hear the one about his embezzling money from his restaurants and using it to pay for sex in Nevada? No? Can we presume Grodner didn't either? No, we can't: she must have heard about it, she just doesn't care. At this point, I'm honestly waiting for the show to pull off a never-before-seen clean sweep and have every last winner in jail at the same time. For a while, I thought Jordan would be the only obstacle, but then I realized she isn't educated enough to know what the law is and could cheerfully break six or seven by merry accident. This has a real shot. Especially if several of them shoot someone.

So now you know a little more about why Malin's in the cage. There were rumors that the mentors get an appearance fee just for showing up plus an increased weekly stipend: maybe this is his best resort for getting some cash fast. Or perhaps he just needed to be in a place where summons servers would have a really hard time reaching him.

The good news is that he's got one of his victims in there with him, and Janelle probably won't have much trouble getting Britney on her side for a Kill The Boys First alliance. The bad news is that alliances mean very little in this joke of a game and the rats may pull every string they have to keep Malin in there all the way to the end.

Maybe if we're really lucky, they'll forget to take him out.

I watched Famous Food all the way through. Everyone who lost effectively won.
