"Big Brother 12 ECST Week 2: So much for that Plan"

Hayden originally wanted to get rid of Brandon: he won the POV.

Big Brother had picked Annie to be the Saboteur and wanted her to try to cause havoc for at least 5 weeks: she got evicted week 1, 10-0, and they will announce to the hamsters tonight her role as Saboteur.... However, there are reports that she has been sequestered, so Revive-A-Hamster isn't out of the question this season, apparently...

Hayden also nominated Rachel originally, figuring that with either Brandon or Rachel evicted, there goes the primary Showmance for the season...: Not only was she saved by Annie's sweeping eviction, she is now the HoH!

As stated above, the theme for this season so far: So Much For That Plan...

The final whammy of the Saboteur Annie was a couple of smoke/stink bombs which were timed to go off after the HoH competition.... They still think at that moment that the Saboteur is still inside the cage...

Rachel CTs her happiness about staying, Enzo CTs his grenade from the Brigade to nuke Annie... and the plan was to go after the Showmance again!

Brendon reveals his scientific background and PhD and such.... but both Andrew and Ragan CT crow that their PhD/educational backgrounds weren't revealed...

They then show the Rachel HoH win, and it turns out that she wasn't wearing pants/panties under that dress!

Andrew celebrated Rachel's win maybe a little too enthusiastically....

Once the Showmance get into a room together, they first snuggle.... and then game plan, including Rachel CTins that she shouldn't use this HoH for pure revenge, she should use it to try to get further in the game...

Enzo CTs that Andrew must be aligned with the Showmance...

Andrew tries to complement the Mean Girls on their play in the HoH competition, but they put him down for the celebration that he had afterward...

We then see Rachel's HoH reveal, which causes complaining CTs from both Mike and Britney... and moaning about her celebrating her tequila delivery in the HoH basket, as well...

Now we see the possible secondary showmance starting up between Hayden and Kristen, but it might be more a friendship right now more than anything else...

Britney and Monet continue being the Mean Girls of the cage, and they have biatch sessions about everyone else, especially Rachel... Even Kristen isn't immune to the claws...

Hayden is then in HoH trying to keep himself, the Brigade, and especially Kristen safe from the chopping block... Rachel thinks that maybe the Britney/Monet Mean Girls twosome.... However, when she brings up the prospect of an alliance between the two of them... it didn't work out too well...

Brendon/Rachel talk strategy as they make kissy-face about Matt's acting paranoid about going up when he originally probably shouldn't worry about it....

"Have/Have Nots competition"

LAST EDITED ON 07-18-10 AT 08:43 PM (EST)

Teams of 4.

One team member will be 'Human Grafiti' Teams have 10 minutes to tape up one of their members to a brick wall. After the 10-minute time limit, the brick wall will rise up, and then the other teams can use paint blasters to help knock them down...

Team with the last Human Grafiti stuck to the wall will be automatically Haves, and they get to decide who are Have Nots... (Excluding Rachel, natch)

Kathy, Britney and Ragan are the Human Grafitis...

Ragan doesn't seem to be a target for paint/water blasters because he wasn't taped up too well... and could fall at a moment's notice...and he's the first one out, eliminating Rachel's blue team... who targets Britney's green team...

Because the way that she was wrapped up, once Britney started to fall, she got choked by her own tape job...

Orange Team wins, and they put the entire Green Team as Have Nots: (Brendan, Enzo, Britney and Monet)

The Have Nots bonus items, besides slop, this week are Fruitcake and Fish Sticks!

"Saboteur reveal"
Posted by vince3 on 07-18-10 at 08:40 PM
to the cage...

It starts with the hidden facade, but it melds into Annie telling them that they scored a direct hit and nuked her (and the twist) out the house.

Much surprise and celebration follows that they have rid themselves of the Saboteur, especially Andrew, who was a major suspect with his antics the first few weeks...

"Nervousing"
Posted by vince3 on 07-18-10 at 08:47 PM
Rachel talks to both Britney and Monet and semi-teases them not going up and maybe the more public appearing outcasts of Andrew and Matt might go up instead...

Also, it's full-blown summit talks between the Showmance and Hayden to find out whether he's with them or against them, especially this week when they're in power... He tosses Britney/Monet back under the bus, especially Monet's $10k win in the first HoH competition...

"Nomination Ceremony"
Posted by vince3 on 07-18-10 at 08:58 PM
Key order:

Brendan (duh)
Kathy
Hayden
Ragan
Kristen
Enzo
Matt
Andrew
Lane

Britney and Monet, the Mean Girls, are nominated together...

Both aren't happy about their nominations...

A majority of the keys coming out had a sound effect that usually is reserved for a sword coming out of its hilt... whether that was a natural or manufactured sound is unknown at this time...

Thanks for the play-by-play Vince. I know she's acting like a spoiled brat but Britney keeps making me laugh. Her facial expresions when she complained about being splashed with water and her comments about the tequila were hilarious.

Didn't Rachel get roaring drunk? I hate the sanitized version we are shown.

Matt outsmarted himself. I have high hopes for him but I'm not so sure anymore. The Brigade being hidden is good for Lane and Enzo but it doesn't do much for Matt.

Andrew gets one target off his back but he puts another one right back on. As far as doctor playing a reality game, he's more Sean than Will.

Hayden was dumb to flat out reject Rachel's offer. You don't say no to an alliance offer. He should have edged by saying they couldn't be obvious but that they should watch each other's back. However, he recovered well with Brendon, protecting his Brigade and Kristen. He has 3 distinct alliances so it could be fun seeing him juggling them. I doubt he's smart enough to do it for long but I'd really like him to surprise me.

Kristen and her shield could be good for the game but makes for boring TV.

Monet: I really wanted to punch her in the face!

Rachel: I did what I wanted to do...

Rachel feels bad that she in essence has made Britney cry, because she was in the same boat last week...

Matt told Hayden that this wasn't the vacation that he thought it was gonna be...

Matt has been telling the hamsters in the cage that his wife of less than a year has a very nasty disease that requires surgery... which she doesn't really have.

He claims that he will make a sizable donation to that diseases's research fund to compensate for exploiting it...

Andrew, however, isn't buying the story...

Veto Draw time:

Rachel draws Houseguest Choice: Brendon (Britney CT's major about it...)

Monet draws Lane

Britney draws Enzo

Ragan will host.

BB Stock Market.

It's another one of those torture for an hour, and you must quit as closest to the hour point without going past it!

Monet: 60*60=1200... *buzzer*

Rachel correctly says that she was to count for 3600...

Rayden says that they're gonna get hit with 'the bill': a plastic bill rotating kinda like a fan that smacks them in the face.... and the time it hits them is random....

Speculation is that many are gonna go over.....

Britney is out first, time not noted.
Enzo out 2nd.
Lane out 3rd.
Brendon out 4th.
Monet out 5th
Rachel out last, right after Monet.

Rachel: 1:15:07
Monet: 1:15:06
Brendon: 1:06:04
Lane: 1:01:21
Enzo: 1:00:14
Britney: 52:28

Britney wins the POV, and gloats about it in Diary.

Posted by vince3 on 07-21-10 at 08:41 PM
Britney/Monet, trying their best NataLIE/Kevin impression, are trying to convince Rachel to put Andrew up for Britney's replacement. Rachel figures that it might be win/win: Monet goes, she tried to appease Britney and still got a Mean Girl out, plus Andrew's still there, hopefully not ticked... Andrew goes, both Mean Girls are happy campers and hopefully on her side now...

She talks to Brendon about it, he doesn't like it...

"RE: Big Brother 12 ECST Week 2: So much for that Plan"
Posted by vince3 on 07-21-10 at 08:49 PM
Rachel brings up Ragan and Matt to try to figure out who the Pawn will be to eliminate Monet... Once Andrew's name is brought up, Matt volunteers himself to be the Pawn instead, to show his loyalty to the Brigade, and because of so much drama that has surrounded Andrew since they've entered the cage...

Rachel still wants to put up Andrew up as the Pawn, because she's suspicious of Matt's intentions... Andrew comes up, and they tell him of the plan, and Andrew tells them that putting him up would probably send him home instead...

They continue to argue after Andrew leaves... to the point that Brendon leaves the HoH because he isn't getting through to her, which causes her to cry into her HoH bed.......

Maybe Matt & Andrew are the 2 the Sab told had a long term relationship - and Matt is trying to save his old school friend?

"POV Meeting"
Posted by vince3 on 07-21-10 at 08:57 PM
Britney uses the POV on herself (without giving Monet the chance to ask for a reason to save her...)

Rachel puts up Matt in Britney's place and assures him that he will be a Pawn... sorry Monet...

Britney swears vengence for Matt being a Pawn.

Matt declares himself a supergenius for this move, he might have secured the trust of the house if he pulls this off...

Ragan wants to pull what's left of his hair out, declaring that, especially early in the game, Pawns get captured!

Monet wants to kick someone's a$$, and she figures that the best way to do that is to somehow send Matt home...

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by michel on 07-21-10 at 09:12 PM
I'm very disappointed in Ragan. He saw that Matt's offer was totally pointless since Andrew was going to be the pawn. Why is Ragan still in Matt's corner? Shouldn't he have realized that the only way Matt would dare going on the block was because he was certain he had the votes? Shouldn't Ragan be asking himself who else is with Matt? The brigade only has 3 votes besides the clueless so there should be a way to get Matt.

The most likely way Matt gets blindsided is if Andrew blows his sick wife story. How dumb was that to invent a sickness?

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by Round Robin on 07-22-10 at 03:47 AM
Andrew might decide not to blow Matt's Johnny Foulplay cover. A) By so doing he might blow his own cover, and B) that might be the kind of thing he can save and hold over him and threaten to blow his cover later if he needs to do so to control Matt or his vote. The fewer people who know Andrew's real story now or who know that Matt's sick wife story is bullsh!t, the better it is for Andrew.

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by michel on 07-22-10 at 08:07 AM
But Andrew is walking a tight rope and he knows it. He can't be thinking way down the line but needs to put the target on someone else. Since he's safe this week, I'd agree that it's better to wait to see who wins the next HOH though.

There are easy ways to blow Matt's cover without revealing his own. He could say it's his hobby: He's loves to read medical journals and he never heard of that illness. He studied but never graduated. It sounds like the illness Seinfeld invented to get out of a ticket, etc...

"RE: POV Meeting"
Posted by kingfish on 07-22-10 at 10:59 AM
Andrew could claim to be an extremely knowledgeable shoe salesman. Maybe he could say he sells medically prescribed support shoes, and has been exposed to a lot of lower leg ailments.

(Still pretty thin, but Matt is so focused on his own brilliance he's not likely (IMO) to think anyone can fool him).

It doesn't need to be air-tight, he could just remind everyone of Johnny's dead grandma lie. All you need is doubt to set in.

Melorheostosis

rare disorder of unknown cause in which cortical bone overgrowth occurs along the main axis of a bone in such a way as to resemble candle drippings. Pain is the major symptom, and stiffness and deformity may result. Usually only one limb and the nearest hip or shoulder are affected. The disease progresses in childhood but ceases with maturity; adults have no symptoms beyond residual disability caused by crippling. Surgery may result in some improvement of symptoms.

Rachel: Monet's gotta go.

Kristen confronts Britney about it, and fireworks start... Kathy goes to fetch Rachel to get her to help repair what may have backfired, but the damage may have been done with much airing of dirty laundry starting to happen...

Britney tries to "clear the air" so that if Brendon/Rachel get back in power, they don't go after him...

Rachel reveals that Matt offered himself as a pawn, and Britney in turns blows up Matt's facade that he was ticked at being nominated to Britney/Monet and swore vengence...

Rachel calls a House Meeting to air all the dirty laundry, and in essence tries to put Matt on the hook. Andrew didn't attend, due to the observance of Tisha B'Av on Tuesday, so he was praying in another room, standing up, but he heard some of the screaming...

Very weird to see Britney and Rachel comparing notes -- but if anything, that scene once again proved how vulnerable Rachel is to any level of emotional manipulation. The person who controls her vote is the one who spoke to her last...
