Please keep all comments about tonights coronation of the BB11 "winner" here until 2:00am EDT.

After tonight, most of them will be gone forever! (BB does have a nasty habit of recycling hamsters when we least want to see them......)

I know ya'll will be recording all the good details here, right?
I think I'm gonna have a scheduling problem.
Isn't Biggest Loser on for 2 hours? overlapping BB by an hour?
If so, I'll miss the first hour of BB .

You mean you are skipping the 2 hour More To Love Finally? No HK tonight.

I don't know what's I've been watching, but after the first ep, I haven't watched More to Love since! Is that still on? LOL
I forgot about HK! Not on tonite??? thank goodness!

I don't have tivo. We have a dvr with our satellite; you can't record one while watching another - unless you record on another tv, and DH is usually watching something else entirely on the other tv.

You can only record the show you are watching?

I can record two shows at a time (watching either one) or watch something else already recorded.

ETA: But that is regular cable and not digital (which I think may be different)

If DH would watch BL with me, I could record BB on the other tv - and watch it later. But he'll be watching Dog or something .
I need to check into tivo.
or complain to DishNetwork.

My mother has Dish and has the same issue you do jbug. She can only record what she's watching - much like the old vcr's. She can upgrade to a digital (or something) where she can record one and watch one but just hasn't done it yet. More money I think.

I don't know about Dish, but I was able to upgrade my cable box to the recordable kind with HD for a net of $1.50/month. I got a lot more channels at the same time.

You may need to see if your DVR receiver is on dual or single mode. Single mode gives you the same channel on both TVs, while dual mode lets you watch two different shows.

1. I'm not sure anyone's going to make it through the whole two hours.

2. On this one, we may not need an ECST as much as a support group.

I don't know ... I expect more entertainment tonight than from any show since Michelle won POV. Granted that's a low bar, but I'm looking forward to closure. Closure of Gnat's hair in a helo door as it lifts off and hoists her through a swarm of giant bugs would be awesome, but I don't expect it.

I did my America's vote last night and it didn't stop me at ten votes like it's supposed to. Eventually I got tired of it ... I noticed that Gnat was the right hand or second choice in each combo, neatly laid out for voting Jord/Kev/Jord in column #1.

Re DVR's - mine from the cable company also will record two shows and play a third show, used to be they maxed at two.

For me, this season has been exactly like vomiting. It feels so good when it stops -- but the relief doesn't change the fact that you just spent a lot of time retching out intolerable trash into a toilet bowl.

I haven't been emotionally invested (and didn't feel inspired to get the feeds). For me it was just boring. If there had been someone I was truly rooting for who got taken down by the Despicables, I would be more upset, but they were all pretty lame. They were psycho, delusional, tasteless, just not captivating of my interest at all. Jeff was the closest thing to a star, but he was dim.

Jordan in no way deserves to win Big Brother as a player, but I'd like to see her win because the other two are so awful.

"Previously on Big Brother....."
Posted by vince3 on 09-15-09 at 09:09 PM
3 made it to the final for the first time ever......

The house was divided by Cliques and then an additional twist of Jessie's return to the house (and HoH for the first week)

Jessie quickly formed an alliance of 7 that ruled the house for the first three weeks, until Russell backstabbed the alliance.

Then Jeff won the coup D'Etat, which reversed Chima's intentions of revenge and sent Jessie to the Jury House.

The power then switched after Chima imploded and got expelled, with Jordan winning the HoH and Lydia getting evicted......

Kevin and Natalie came up with a Last Minute Lie that turned the game in their favor, using Jeff to get rid of Russell, then they took the power in their hands and got rid of Jeff and Michele.

Tonight, the jury forms and has a few discussions...... plus everyone gets together again (minus Chima, though) and we have a big fat Reunion.....

"RE: Big Brother 11 Finale ECST: Good Riddance!"

We get a recap of Natalie's loathing in her Final HoH, Part 2....

Diary Kevin says that Natalie's only chance of making the Final 2 is probably Jordan taking her, because he won't, since Jordan doesn't have too many friends on the Jury.... while telling Natalie that he's taking her......

However, once Natalie's called to Diary, he tries to confirm his plan with Jordan to take him, and Jordan's nervous about it.....

Natalie is trying to butter up Jordan whenever Kevin's not around, like him giong to the hammock.......

"Everyone trying to convince everyone "

Kevin's counting up the votes and he's wondering if he can win.....

Natalie tells Kevin flat out that if he stabs her, then she'll probably vote for Jordan...... and she senses that he's trying to back out of their deal.....

Next: Michele enters the Jury House, and she might totally influence the Jury with what she has to say....

"No one excited at all"
Posted by Snidget on 09-15-09 at 09:27 PM
about gNat's engagement. They don't believe it happened.

Michele didn't think she was 18, and with the confirmation she sees how the tide appears to have turned against gNat.

Kevin: BB has taught me to have more confidence in myself......

Natalie: I'm gonna miss living with all those people around me!

Jordan: *gives up on what she's saying......*

Michele's arrival at Jury House is up now, and Jeff's relaxing at the pool and having fun......

Who they think's coming in? Jessie/Lydia thinks Michele, Russel/Jeff thinks Kevin...... and Russell/Jeff's dissapointed...... and Jessie celebrates getting the arrival right for the second straight week....

Michele tells them about Natalie's Pandora's Box and her engagement to her boyfriend....

Lydia tells the 24 reveal, and Michele says, "I figured as much...."

They watch Michele's DVD and the bashing of Natalie continues......

Next up the Jury discusses, officially, the Final 3.... (once they find out that Juror 6 won't be joining them until Finale Night......)

"Jury Discussion"

About the Final 3......

Jessie's growing a goatee......

And the fur flies! Especially between Lydia (promoting Kevin) and Jeff (promoting Jordan).......

Jeff reminds them that Jordan was on the block many times early on, and for some reason, survived.......

They've found out that Kevin won Part 1, and Jordan won Part 2......

By the sounds of things, during the discussion, Natalie won't get any votes, regardless on the opponent.....

Questions about the Jury: Kevin vs. Jordan

Tell them a statement that they made while in the Jury House, 2 possible Choices.....

Jessie: Ladies or work on calves? Ladies. Kevin 1-0
Lydia: Michele talking or Jeff's Coup? Coup. Tied at 1
Russell: Blabbing to Michele or Things said to Chima? Michele. Jordan 2-1
Jeff: Failed last POV or Russell gone week early? POV. Tied at 2
Michele: Reality check for.... Chima or Jessie? Jessie. Tied at 3!

Tiebreaker! How many total votes to evict have been cast this season, including tiebreakers? Correct answer is 51. Jordan put down 50, and is the Final HoH!

After the jury speeches it's time for them to vote, and they voted in Jury # order.

Jessie: Jordan, Hakuna Matata (No Worries)
Lydia: Jordan, I love a good blonde!
Russell: I chose the person who played the best game? (Ruh-roh)
Jeff: Jordan, I'm proud of you...... etc.
Michele: I'm voting for the strongest female in this game.
Kevin: I wanted to vote for who's cuter, but you're both cute, so I'm voting for the person who was the most strategic.....

Julie: As you know, when Chima was expelled, it left the jury pool at an even number. America's been voting all week for the 7th Juror spot, and I'm going to put the key in myself!

Russell voted for gNat because of his scene in the house with Jordan right before he was evicted. I think he blamed Jordan for poisoning Jeff against him.

It was interesting to see Jordan and gNat react to Jessie and Lydia's votes, though.

Jordan also had Michelle's vote.

In terms of ability to deal with, this was the best win out of a nearly-worst-possible Final Three. It just doesn't change the fact that this was a really bad season -- and a jury bitter enough to corrupt taste buds in a six-mile radius.

This season will be remembered as "Big Brother: You are dumber than a 5th grader."

But Jordan did show some game in the end by getting Kevin to promise her he'd take her to the F2. She also showed common sense by still voting him out. Not much but that's all we'll get.

I missed part of the jury discussion (a local station is showing Survivor Africa dubbed in French. It's funny hearing Big Tom speaking so clearly in French).
Would they have voted for Kevin over Jordan? I think so but would like confirmation.

"RE: Flashback?"
Posted by vince3 on 09-15-09 at 11:45 PM
Jessie? Dunno
Lydia? Definitely
Russell? He already voted Natalie over Jordan, so that's not a huge leap to vote Kevin?
Jeff or Michele? No chance.
Natalie? She claimed she'd be bitter and would vote Jordan if Kevin stabbed her, so she'd proabbly vote Kevin in the opposite case.....
America? Are you kidding? Jordan again.

Kevin would've needed all of the toss-up votes, I think. Could he have won? Yes. Would he? Depends on if Chenbot or someone else asks the question in the post-show interviews........

I'm also kinda glad that there was a bit of comeuppance, that Ronnie was forced to confront his Michele speech, and that Gnat had her multiple duplicities exposed. Julie soft pedaled it more than I would have, but at least she brought it up.

And I’m just going to say this once, Michele has a great pair of legs. On that basis alone she should have won.

And watching/listening to Jessie try to explain anything is painful.

And at the end, the only houseguest for which I see no redeeming value is Ronnie, which is saying something in a house that also contains Jessie.

Soft-pedaled???? That was such lame treatment that Nat actually seemed quite pleased that she'd pulled it over on the rest of the hamsters. There was no penalty for her AT ALL for all the lies she told (it cost her Jessies vote, but that's pretty much it). In fact, the "age" lie was passed off as a big joke, the LML turned out to be true, and all her petty, malicious, mean lies were ignored altogether. she DEFINITELY got a favorable edit.

In what way? Other than what he cast I don't think they asked anything about why.

ETA: my guess is he figured out from both the jury and from what gNat said was that she was going to attach herself to any strong player for as long as they were there (which is staying loyal) and then moving on to the next victim as soon as they got voted out.

I think he may have been kinda sweet on her and the whole I was just shield #1 didn't sit too well, but that may be attributing more thought process than Jessie can possess. It may have been jury here, jury hate gNat, jessie hate gNat.

I just didn't know if they showed anything between the two of them. I was very surprised by it. Especially when he said he never talked to Jordan the whole game.

I figured Kevin voted for gNat as his part/promise to her that he was sticking with her to the end. Even tho we know - and she should know by now - that Kevin had no plans to pick her for F2 if it was his choice.
But why not? He had no bond with Jordon.

I agree with Rio. It was obvious that Jessie wasn't going to vote for gNat. Here's what I said in the other thread:

... In a Jordan-gNat finale, I think gNat has got real problems. I think she gets Russell's vote. But probably not Kevin's, because he'll feel that she sandbagged to get him out. She could easily lose 6-1.

In other words, gNat can't win. Jordan can, but she should boot Kevin if she wins the last HoH. And Kevin can't lose if he sticks to his alliance and makes the final.

I was wrong about Kevin, but I was right about Russell voting for gNat and all the others voting for Jordan.

"RE: Jessie's Vote"
Posted by AyaK on 09-17-09 at 12:48 PM
I may have been too optimistic about Jessie's antipathy for gNat.

gNat herself (lying as usual) blamed Jessie's vote on the fact that she left him a not-nice farewell message.

But Jessie, surprisingly articulate for using monosyllabic words, said in an interview right after the finale that he hadn't made up his mind until the questions. He had believed gNat's statements that she was trying in the challenges and that she was going to win some. But he saw her deliberately throw challenges, such as the hot chocolate and the ball-rolling. In his words, when she admitted in the questions that she was just trying to stick to people who were bigger targets (like himself and Kevin) and rely on them winning, he felt that a person who had tried to win, such as Jordan in the last HoH, was a more deserving victor. As he put it, Jordan made the finals because she beat Kevin. gNat was there because she expected either Kevin or Jordan to carry her.

Lousy finale. I wanted Kevin to win. The moment he lost, I knew I was going to get an underwhelming winner.

At least Natalie didn't win, I guess, and I know Jordan would do good stuff with the money. Still, I wish Jordan hadn't have been so worthless the whole game.

After spending all that time solving who Russell would vote for, Jessie turns around and votes Jordan. That was surprising.

A Michelle/Russell/Kevin F3 would have been way more exciting to watch. And I probably would have kept up to date with the goings on in the house. This made for a really long week. I'm glad Jordan got the money because she'll do good things (I hope) but it would have been nice if she played the game. At all. At any point. In a M/R/K F3, I would hope that Jordan would have gotten jury prize. I know Jeff's looks demand that people hand him money, but it's nice to think that America would have voted for their other sweetheart instead.

I'm not at all surprised by any of the votes. Russell wasn't going to vote personally at the end of the day. I would love to see Michelle and Russell in an all stars (with S8 Jen).

I like your idea for All-Stars.

But Jordan did do some game play at the end when she told both Gnat and Kevin that she would take them, all along intending to take Gnat. Her instincts that an F2 between her and Gnat could allow her to win were right on, as it turned out.

She played Kevin a bit there. I think the deal with her is that she wasn't capable of complicated game play that involved a lot of people (and in reality, who is? Way too many variables.), but when it came down to just two adversaries, then the strategies were easier to see, even for her.

Actually, I think that the Nash theory that Probst proposed for an early season of Survivor had some application here. A basic conclusion of that theory of group dynamics is that when there are two leaders fighting for dominance of the group, that a third, more submissive personality, is more likely to prevail. And when there is just one dominant, that dominant person will have the advantage. And in BB11, there was never a week when at least two dominants weren't fighting it out. So if Jordan was a brainy type who could apply Nash logic (I crack myself up!) then she would probably have played the game just like she did.

I think all stars should only consist of people who have previously won BB -

"Jordan = Forrest Gump"

First time poster. Thanks all for making this an entertaining thread.

While most like Jordan much more as a person than Gnat, it is very hard to argue Jordan was the better player. I was cringing at her rambling responses to the strategy questions last night. And then it hit me - this is the reality version of Forrest Gump!

Jordan did not have a strategy and may not have the intelligence to have a strategy. She was just her happy, go lucky self and just so happended to always be in the right position at the right time. Just like Forrest!

This rough quote from Jordan last night ranks up there with some of the Chill Town quotes: "I came in here with the strategy not to trust anyone and then I met y'all and I trusted everyone cause they were so nice and then ugly stuff started happening and then I didn't trust anyone no more." That's up there with any Forrest Gump saying!

Thanks again for the entertaining posts. A good idea for a BB season would to have an "all star" season that is one-half prior contestants and one-half stars from other reality shows. That would be a really fun season and would draw in viewers from other reality shows. Amazing Race did this and it was a great success.

Welcome!
Good comparison.

When Jeff asked the question of Jordon about what was her best move in the game & she answered getting rid of Kevin?
I wanted her to say something like "keeping her cool, staying out of the high drama fights" (except for that one with Russell). I thought that actually helped keep the fire away from her.
Course that could be considered staying under the radar, but i like to see players who can stay out of the shouting matches.

Jodan best quote of the evening came when asked what has she learned from being in the BB house
"I feel like a grown girl" PERFECT!!

When asked what she planned to do with the money, I was expecting her to say she would buy $500,000 worth of bubble gum. Who doesn't love gum?

The way I saw it, getting rid of Kevin was Jordan's only strategic move in the game, so her answer showed a little self-awareness.

What other move did she make? Cuddling with Jeff? Getting bamboozled by gNat? Basically, she stayed aroung until the end because, after Jeff stupidly trusted Kevin, she was seen as less threatening than Jeff or Michele.

But I love the analogy between Jordan and Forrest Gump. I wonder whether she knows how many ways there are to prepare shrimp.

People are so passionate about this season... we all want to put that magic in a bottle and then use it for seasons to come (Alison Grodner)

Y'know how I read this? 'Natalie's coming back next summer and there's nothing you can do about it.'

Except for not watching. There's always that.

Well, I'd like to know what age/sex/nationality/species she would pretend to be this time.
