Week 9 - Back To Elimination

This week, with another elimination on the show, we also had another elimination in the TARPTB game. cyclehausen was eliminated, the only person who did not put Millie & Chuck on their boot list. BUT, re-entries and new entries are still accepted, as we only have 2 episodes left (I'm assuming 1 elimination and 1 non-elimination) before the grand finale.

However, this week was a crazy week at the top of the leaderboard. Our season-long leader, Keae, who had a horrible week last week, marches back strong and passes the century mark on the points list with a weekly best 22 points. Not far behind was last week's highest scorer, MTW1961, with 20 points. magic_star was the week's lowest scorer with 5 points, but this week was a pretty good week for everyone. Here are the standings with only 3 weeks left........

Week 10 - This week things stay the same, even though there are only a few episodes left. You gain 5 points for correctly picking the last place team, 3 points for the team who finishes in 3rd. There will be a 2 point penalty for each team on your list that isn't in the bottom 2. This week it's almost hit-or-miss with only four teams. If this week is non-elimination, which I suspect it to be, the picks you use will not count toward your final season total, and remember that there is only one week remaining where your picks will be counted, whether it be this week or next week. After the next elimination, the points will be tallied including the picks as we head into the finale episode, where there are special rules that I will clarify then. New Entries - This week, new entries are still welcomed, there will be a 25 point penalty and a 40 pick penalty. There probably isn't a chance of you making it out of the red ink, but feel free to give it a try!

Leader Bonus - Last week the leaders were Reichen & Chip, followed by Jon & Al. This week it is pretty pointless to bother with the second place team, so you're only picking the leaders. This week you'll get a 5 point bonus for picking the correct leader, and a 2 point penalty if you're incorrect.

Fast Forward Bonus - Last week's FF winners were Reichen & Chip. This week you can guess the FF winners (if there are any) for a 5 point bonus, but there will be a 3 point penalty if you are incorrect AND another team wins the FF. If no team gets the FF, no penalties or bonuses apply. Jeff/David, Jon/Al, and Kelly/Jon are all still eligible to win the Fast Forward.

Bonus Questions - This week's bonus questions will be worth 3 points apiece if you are correct, no penalty for missing them.

1. Which team will finish the Detour first?
2. Which team will arrive at the Road Block last?
3. What country will the Pit Stop be in?
4. Which team will make the biggest gain in the standings?
5. Which team will take the biggest plunge in the standings?

Sadie's Road Block Bonus - This week you'll do the same as usual....pick the member from each team that will complete the Road Block. There will be a 1 point bonus for each one that you guess correctly, no penalty for missing.
