"Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"

Posted by vince3 on 08-23-09 at 11:17 PM
Sorry for not getting this up earlier.

I'll post the highlights of Sunday's show soon.

When we last saw Big Brother, the HoH contest was underway, the hamsters attempting to recycle cans by dropping them into tubes, from an elevated height, and avoiding a shelf that started to move right as the show ended.......

There were really only 2 hilights to the episode: Chenbot saying that Jordumb "outsmarted" her opponents during the veto competition and Jordumb saying that Jeff's haircut reminded her of Dumb and Dumber!!! I thought Julie and Jordan must have read Ayak's comments!

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"

I was actually thinking the editors must have read my comments, because they kept that in the program out of all of the other comments during the HoH reveal.

J/J have unfortunately continued to play like Dumb and Dumber. When Michele stuck up for keeping Russell this week and booting Kevin or gNat, Jeff concluded that Michele and Russell must be lying to him again. Since then, Michele has loyally been on the "boot Russell" team with Jordumb, even though she has to know it's a mistake, because she gets so flustered when she'd being suspected by Jeff.

If J/J weren't so dumb, I'd feel sorry for them. Of course, maybe Jeff will come to his senses and not backdoor Russell tonight, but I doubt it. Good sense has not been his hallmark in this game.

"Jeff the Gardener"

I thought this was funny - Jordan and Kevin lusting after the hot gardener, Jeff. I could not stop laughing at Kevin talking about Jeff's hose.

"HoH competition"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 11:53 AM
LAST EDITED ON 08-24-09 AT 11:54 AM (EST)

Hamsters dropping cans into two cylinders. There is a shelf that can block the cylinders. First hamster to 24 cans in the cylinders, or the most cans after a 1 hour time limit, wins HoH.

After a brief montage of the exit of Captain Unitard Lydia, we return to the competition, and Jordan (voice-over) is providing updadtes on the status of everyone's progress.

Now the shelf is moving back and forth, blocking the cylinders at timed intervals. Russell's stomping up on the platform, and is shaking the railing when Jeff is dropping cans.....

After a little while, Jordan announces that the two houseguests with the least number of cans at the end will be the Have Nots for the week!

Another announcement: Above the regular cans' barrels is a shelf that contains 6 gold cans. If one of those cans gets into the cylinder, then you have will be able to shut down an opponents lane for 60 seconds......

Russell shuts down Kevin. After Kevin gets reactivated, he shuts down Russell, but that also gives Jeff an unshaking railing, so he makes a ton of cans and roars back to take the HoH!

Michele and Russell, with the least number of cans, are Have Nots.

I watched the show, but missed the irony that Kevin actually allowed Jeff to win! His blocking of Russell gave Jeff the stablity to aim true.

My bet? Kevin will make a funny face when he views this episode.

"... and Russell's use"
Posted by IceCat on 08-24-09 at 12:16 PM

... of the golden can on Kevin caused two things that aided Jeff:

1) He stopped Kevin for a full minute allowing Jeff to start catching up; and

2) This also caused Kevin to retaliate by stopping Russ thus causing the aforementioned minute of stability for Jeff's targeting.

It appeared that Jeff never used the golden can even though he was well behind and could have aided Mich or Russ by blocking Kevin and Natalie.

Russell's tactics turned out to be better from a team perspective.

"RE: HoH competition"
Posted by michel on 08-24-09 at 12:11 PM

I had been reported that Kevin was upset after the competition but Kevin really only had himself to blame. If he had blocked Jeff instead of Russell, he would have easily won. Dumb, Dumber, Dumberer, Dumberest... Is there 1 worthy winner in the bunch?

"RE: HoH competition"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:21 PM
At the time, though, Russell was, I think, in second place. Jeff caught major fire during the minute that Russell was shut down..........

"RE: HoH competition"
Posted by AyaK on 08-24-09 at 01:09 PM
Right. That's why Kevin was so upset that there was an update on himself as the leader but never an update on Jeff as the leader -- he would have blocked Jeff, not Russell, had he known.

"RE: HoH competition"
Posted by Estee on 08-24-09 at 03:22 PM
Which brings up the question of whether Jordan was smart enough to leave out that update on purpose or just forgot Jeff was playing.

"Jeff's HoH room"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:19 PM
After a discussion by Kevin and Natalie, first b/c about Kevin not winning HoH (thaks to Russell, who he'd nominate....), Natalie proposes making a Final Four deal with Jeff/Jordan, claiming that they'd be more loyal than Russell/Michele......

Time to see Jeff's HoH room. Jeff's bowl-cut kiddo pictures inspires Jordan to say that he looked like he was in Dumb and Dumber, which is ironic considering that their actions have given to us naming Jeff/Jordan Dumb and Dumber.......

Now we get to see some discussion of Jeff's trip to Hawaii, and Jordan wants to go! Jeff, however, shoots her down..... for now, at least.

Now we get a montage of the dynamics of the Jeff/Jordan/Russell/Michele dysfunctional alliance, especially with the seeds of doubt planted by Kevin/Lydia......... and it's not pretty.

"So..."
Posted by IceCat on 08-24-09 at 12:25 PM
Jeff/Jordan are allowed to pass judgement upon Russ/Mich because Kevin claims to overhear Russ wanting to boot Jeff.

But it's OK for Jeff to actively negotiate a final four deal with Batalie and Kevin.

Jeff's more than dumb... he's a two-faced a-hole as well.

"RE: So..."
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:33 PM
Which makes no him better than Lydia, Chima, and Natalie's display on the previous Sunday's show.......

"RE: So..."
Posted by AyaK on 08-24-09 at 01:17 PM
As Jeff's gullibility and his two-faced nature become more apparent, Jeff's online popularity is dropping like a rock. Just to go to the live feeds for a moment, Dumb and Dumber were trashing Michele for being so paranoid ... just after Jeff had finished trashing Russell for trying so hard for POV and showing paranoia ... just after Dumb and Dumber were scheming on how to backstab Michele and Russell.

It isn't paranoia when someone really is trying to get you, which is R/M's situation.

But it is paranoia when you see threats that don't exist, which is Dumb and Dumber's situation. And it's sort of humorous when you see threats that don't exist and fail to see the ones that do exist. I admit that I'll be laughing at Jeff when he leaves, if gNat and Kevin do him in next week.

"Jeff the Gardener"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:31 PM
Big brother this year gave the hamsters a little vegetable garden to take care of outside, and Jeff's apparently taken on the role of it's gardener, watering the plants and such. After a visit with Michele, we get to see a shirtless Jeff watering the plants another time, with both Jordan and Kevin lusting after him.......

Michele and Russell find out that the bonus items for the Have Nots for this week are Churros and Chitlins..... (blech for at least the Chitlins.....)

Natalie starts screwing up her "I'm 18 lie" because she's telling stories of her adventures in Vegas, playing poker in the casinos (must be 21.....) Russell gets irritated with Natalie, and explodes again, which causes a worried conversation between himself and Michele about Jeff possibly nominating at least one of them.......

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:47 PM
The dumbing down of Jeff's character continues.......

Now he's talking to Michele about her job in an underground lab. Michele says that no one else in the house has a clue what her job is about...... but she has a difficult time telling Jeff what it's about, too........

Also, the seeds of doubt are still being planted and cultivated by Kevin/Natalie about Jeff/Jordan's alliance with Russell/Natalie.......

"Nomination Ceremony"
Posted by vince3 on 08-24-09 at 12:53 PM
Russell is safe.
Michele is safe.
Jordan is safe. (duh)

Kevin and Natalie are the nominees. He claims that it's for no other reasons than he doesn't like them as people....... j/k. They're on the opposite side alliance.

Jeff is definitely considering backdooring Russell.......

"RE: Nomination Ceremony"
Posted by michel on 08-24-09 at 01:07 PM
"Jordan is safe. (duh)"

The editors must have hated Jeff for putting the keys in that order. They still put up the dramatic music after Michelle received her key as if there was a doubt!!! At that moment, Jeff and Jordan weren't the dumbest.

...if you watch closely, you can actually see Jeff & Jordan getting dumber.

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"
Posted by vince3 on 08-25-09 at 09:18 PM
It isn't paranoia, if they're really out to get you.......

Jeff/Jordan don't like talking to either Michele and Russell? Then why did you join them in a F4 alliance?

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"

Jeff doesn't speak subtle.

I'm not completely sure Jeff is speaking English.

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"

I don't think Jordan was out to get him, but he seemed to be determined to make an enemy of her.

"POV Competition"
Posted by vince3 on 08-25-09 at 09:37 PM
OTEV the Tiki God Ape!

Casey apparently got "eaten" while in the banana suit, and he is the voice of OTEV from inside his belly.

Casey will rap about a housemate, and the bananas have the name of hamsters on them. Bring back the right banana to stay alive. Last one back is eliminated if all are right......

Space Princess Ronnie is up first. Jordan gives up and will be eliminated.

Jesse's continously's problems. Natalie was the last one up, and is toast.

8-1 vote is Laura. Russell is the last one up and is gone.

First houseguest to leave as fruit, is naturally Casey. Kevin's eliminated.

No shirt, leather coat. Left on tiebreaker vote, which is Braden. Jeff plays mind games with Michele, and eventually wins the POV!

"RE: Big Brother 11 Week 7 ECST"

Russell sees a light at the end of this week, but he's also pretty sure it's an oncoming train!

Jeff/Jordan kyute couple montage.......

"POV Ceremony"
Posted by vince3 on 08-25-09 at 09:57 PM
Jeff takes Kevin down, and puts Russell up.

Kevin celebrates in the DR.

Michele says that she has to seperate herself from Russell or get dragged down with him.

Russell calls it right, calling Jeff an idiot, and pointing out that the target will immediately switch to Jeff after Russell's gone......

Closing scene is a victory dance by Kevin/Natalie.......

"RE: POV Ceremony"
Posted by AyaK on 08-25-09 at 10:41 PM
When you look stupid by comparison to Russell, you're really stupid.

Dumb and Dumber (aka Jeffoon and Jordumb) have accomplished it.

"RE: POV Ceremony"
Posted by michel on 08-26-09 at 02:45 AM
It must be infuriating for those who watch the feeds because the edit made Jeffoon look rational (made myself laugh a little there!) when nominating Russell.

Sure, we heard gNat and Kevin speak of the bait but Jeffoon blaming Russell for the Jesse vote, JJ catching Michelle using the WE pronoun and JJ "analyzing" (another chuckle!) that they couldn't beat Russell or Michelle in front of the jury probably sounded "right" to the non-feed viewers.

I thought that rule went out the window once they had no one left.

I still hope Mich wins HoH and lets the other four backstab/lie each other to death for a week.

"RE: Even with so few people left?"

That's why the F4 POV winner has all the power to evict, unless the F4 HoH wins it and then doesn't use it.......

Michele as final 5 HoH could wield a special sort of power because she's the odd-person out against two alliances of two.

If she did as described in my earlier now-deleted post and put Nat and Jeff on the block, she could really get J/J/K/N to bring out the long knives a week early.

"RE: Even with so few people left?"
Posted by michel on 08-26-09 at 11:51 AM
LAST EDITED ON 08-26-09 AT 11:59 AM (EST)

The problem comes if the member of the pair that isn't on the block wins POV then both members of the pair are safe, the other pair sees one member evicted and all 3 remaining members are mad at Michelle.

Much safer to make a deal with one pair and put both members of the other pair on the block. Only 1 could possibly be saved by the POV and the other leaves. At F4, it's 3 against 1 and Michelle is in the 3.

ETA: Kevin has a dilemma. Right now, he must be considered favored to win the jury vote over gNat but if he's the next HOH and puts up Jeff and Michelle, he loses 3 jury votes right there and you know Jesse would vote gNat over him. Is he smart enough to see that the same reasoning applies to him as it does to Michelle and that he'd need to put up JJ while making a deal with Michelle?

"Michele is screwed anyway"
Posted by IceCat on 08-26-09 at 01:57 PM
LAST EDITED ON 08-26-09 AT 01:57 PM (EST)

If Russ gets booted this week, she basically has to go on a challenge winning spree to stay alive and put Jordan in the other final 2 seat to win.

If she were to accept that cold hard truth then her hands are no longer tied tactically speaking. She has no allies left after Russ is gone so she doesn't have to kiss one more ass in the whole game.

It's the freedom of having the scorched earth option now fully available.

"RE: Michele is screwed anyway"
Posted by kingfish on 08-26-09 at 03:08 PM
The scorched earth option has appeal in a general sense for BB this season.

Which suggests a proposed twist:

"America can vote to burn the place (with remaining occupants) down at any point if there is no evidence of even one brain cell."

Optional addition #1 to twist:

"America can vote include any house guests that have been voted out in the Bar-B-Que." ATT/Sprint/etc. can be co-sponsors, they'd stand to make a killing.

Optional add-on #2:

"America can vote to toss in any or all houseguests from prior seasons." (we would have set up fire breaks to make sure the fire didn’t consume the western US).

"RE: Michele is screwed anyway"
Posted by Estee on 08-26-09 at 03:15 PM
I just don't think Michele can win even by having Jordan next to her -- in fact, I've got that as the only pairing Jordan has a realistic chance to walk out of. Michele has been completely skunked: a lot of gNat spray added to some residual Rattie.

But that really comes down to 'freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose'...

Jessie gets a goodbye message CD, and sees that both Natalie and Lydia trash him because they compared notes. He comments on Lydia's Captain Unitard outfit, but kinda wonders 'Where's Chima's message?'

Lydia shows up, and after rapping on him a few times, and wrestling with him, she shows him first Chima's expulsion, and then how she got the Unitard and shown the door out........

It may be something to mess with the houseguests' comfort. It is a responsibility for the HOH, not necessarily a power.
