This should do us for the rest of the season. Remember that tonight's episode is 1 hour after they're done with U.S. Open coverage, and Tuesday's episode is at 8:00 due to some fashion show they're gonna have at 9.

I wish I taped the Luxury competition. I wanted to see Jesse "monkey around" in the gorilla suit.

So Dan won the Luxury competition, and he could take someone from either the cage or the Jury House with him....... he chose Michelle to try to reverse some of the poison he injected into her from his previous HoH when he backdoored her. He's trying to play it like he took nobody....... (good luck with that)

Next up, POV highlights.

POV competition.

Nighttime Stairway to Veto competition.

Clues refer to an evicted houseguest. If you're correct, the step lights up. First one up all 10 steps, wins the Final POV and holds the biggest POV power of them all.

Dan, who as HoH is already safe in the F3 and doesn't care about anything else, is conteplating throwing it so he doesn't get blood on his hands......

Once Dan got high enough on the stairs to that he could see over the tarp walls and could see other hamsters he sees that Memphis is at least 2 steps behind him so Dan starts purposely tanking it so Memphis could win the POV.

This kind of makes you wonder how many competitions Dan could win if he tried every time. He was so far ahead of the three stooges...

OMG. I always knew that Dan was kick-ass, but that was hilarious. He was smokin' that comp, even while he was trying to throw it! LMAO! I think he probably would have won pretty much everything that he played in if he hadn't been perfecting "The Art of the Throw."

Ok, yeah. Maybe I'm a little biased. *grin* I don't care. I love him.

Final Veto meeting.

Memphis chooses to save himself, putting Keesha on the block.

Memphis votes to evict Keesha.

Dan whispered to Keesha on the way out that he took Michelle on the trip to the beach.

Dan is playing for the camera/video that was fed to the Chenbot lair that he won't take Memphis to the Final 2. (yeahrightsure......)

Final HoH Torture/Endurance preview:

Looks like this time they're gonna be hanging on by "a wing and a prayer"

There are giant wings that they're gonna be on in some fashion, and there's "planes" behind them..........

"RE: Big Brother 10 Final Stretch ECST"

It's literally called "Wing and a Prayer" *snort!*

This one sounds like it's Endurance/Balance/Torture this time...... if they don't want their plane to roll on them, they gotta keep their balance.......

Standing on the plane's wings, sounds like it will roll if you get off balance.

Obviously Jerry hasn't shown much in the way of endurance, and there is the 75 years old thing, but, an ex navy/marine might be used to heaving decks.

"RE: Big Brother 10 Final Stretch ECST"
Posted by SilverStar on 09-09-08 at 08:44 PM
Heaving decks? Not Jerry. Heaving desks, maybe. He has said on the feeds that the main reason he was in the Marines is because he could type and that he only had a desk job.

Damn...Dan is good. Damn good. He's pretty much secured Keesha's vote, he's at least given Michelle a shot, he fessed up on the trip to Keesha to mitigate that possible "bombshell", he's given Jerry an impression of safety as he has Memphis and Dan now "split", and Memphis can't take Jerry now that Keesha's vote is gone since he's done in that case.

Brilliant. Bloody Brilliant. Bravo.

Jerry's already out. He lasted about 10 minutes or so.

The only reason the competition is still going is because Jerry's still out there looking at them........

I would totally tune in tonight, but there's this thrilling one-hour Hole in the Wall episode where the contestants have to dive through a replica of Memphis' acting credibility.

Are the networks having some sort of stupidity contest? I'll pit my contestants against your contestants, the network that shows they have contestants that have lost so many IQ points they need to be watered twice a week wins...

and wins what...

and what poor soul has to make the determination.

"HoH"
Posted by vince3 on 09-11-08 at 07:41 PM
Part 1: Jerry takes an immediate crash and burn. Memphis and Dan are still "fighting", but Dan may be laying it on a little thick. Memphis stayed up longer than Dan possibly wanted because he didn't want Jerry, who was watching, to notice that he threw it to Dan. Memphis eventually slipped and Dan wins Part 1!

Part 2: History of the cage: Dan brings out boxing gloves and trunks for Memphis and Jerry. They go outside at seperate times and go to a machine that has everyone in cutout form. It's 10 rounds of boxing! For each "round", they have to knock down everyone but that week's HoH, and final nominees.

Memphis: 8:35

Jerry: 51:22 (oofa!)

Memphis wins part 2 in a landslide!

After hiding in the spa, it's a Renegade victory dance!

Julie interviews the Final 3, and razzes Jerry about his pitiful time.

After the break we will get to see Keesha arrive at the jury house and the reactions of Michelle and April, her enemies...... (did Renny teleport in, or are we gonna see her arrive as well?)

"RE: HoH"
Posted by vince3 on 09-11-08 at 07:54 PM
I didn't see if they showed Renny arriving or not.........

After Keesha arrived, Michelle had hoped to drop the bomb on her that Dan took her on the Luxury competition prize trip, but Keesha knew about it because Dan told her on the way out.

Keesha and Michelle both realize that Dan's really playing for the votes.

America's Juror will return again!

Part 3: Statements from the Jury House:

Libra: If I could back in time I'd change Alliance or Behavior? Alliance (Dan 1-0)

April: The person who coasted was Jerry or Memphis? Memphis. (Tied at 1)

Michelle: The best strategic move was me winning HoH after Jessie's eviction or backdooring me? Backdooring me (Tied at 2)

Ollie: My fatal error was trusting Dan or letting my heart get into the game? Heart (still tied at 2)

Renny: Most irritating moment: Jerry and his dentures in the sink or Jessie disrespecting me on live TV? Jerry (Dan leads 3-2)

Keesha: Most uncomfortable moment: 30th birthday or night before eviction? night before eviction (Dan wins 4-2!)

Dan evicts Jerry and it's an all-Renegade Final 2!

Just like Adam and Ryan earlier this year, it's victory dance city for the two dudes! Fortunately for them, Jerry was too busy with the crowd to notice the victory dance...........

I keep hearing people compare them to Adam and Ryan but I see them as being more like Dr. Will and Mike Boogie but not so over the top with their antics. Definitely more entertaining than last season.

So. At any point during all that, did Memphis ever answer a question?

He did a great job at contradicting himself, though. 'I never had a long-term plan...' 'I came in with a business strategy...' Yeesh. And after all that, April will still personally strangle anyone who votes for Dan. That is one of the most bitter expressions I've ever seen on a presumed-human face, and I hope Ollie likes it: he's going to be seeing a lot of it.

I get the feeling the final wedge between April and Ollie will happen tonight when first, they're gonna reveal that their romps were shown everywhere, and then when Ollie is one of 6 to vote Dan the winner, with April being the only one to vote for Memphis.........

One of the First Four could blurt something out -- but beyond that, it'll probably wait for after they go off the air: Julie will never say anything.

And I'm not so sure that Memphis can't win. It's a BB jury: they can do anything -- as long as it's stupid.

If Endemol had any imagination at all, they would have made the America's Choice award go to the Cutest Juror.

Voting Keesha to be America's Favorite Juror was some salt in April's wounded ego, but making it official that Keesha was the cuter of the two would have made a perfect ending even more perfect.

All Hail Dan the Man. They should end BB now, we have found the perfect player.

What a perfect finale. My boy wins (*squeeeeeeeee*) and my first choice for favorite juror also gets the money. I really thought Renny was going to take it, and I am overjoyed that she wasn't even in the top 2. She has become insufferable to me ever since she won HOH that week. I can't even explain why I turned on her so much, but suffice to say that when she made her 10 minute entrance and her 30 minute voting speech tonight, I wanted to strangle her. Ugh!

Woot! Keesha Beesha!

I read transcripts of the feeds from last night: Dan thought he would just get two votes. He was happy with the $50,000 he thought he was going to get. I was surprised that April and Ollie voted for Dan. I wonder if the jury was bribed by the producers to vote for Dan. It wouldn't be against the rules, since Big Brother isn't considered a game show. I know the producers meddle with reality shows, and I'm always shocked to find out what goes on behind the scenes. The contestants sign legal documents saying that they can't write tell-all books or even talk about what took place behind the scenes.

I read a summary of what took place at the live eviction ceremony. The emcee asked the audience who they wanted to win. The emcee said, "Who wants Jerry to win." There was just a little bit of applause. He then said, "Who wants Memphis to win?" Again, there was just a little bit of applause. He then asked, "Who wants Dan to win?" There was a lot of applause. He might have asked those questions to help the producers figure out who they should rig the final vote for.

I wanted Dan to win. Memphis threatened to beat up an old man, which is unacceptable.

"RE: Your winner of BB 10 is......"
Posted by kingfish on 09-17-08 at 08:19 AM
It would probably be a breach of contract, each contestant has to sign a contract, and I seriously doubt that the contract states that the producers can legally bribe the jury. If they did that, Memphis would have suffered a monetary loss.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that their contracts contain a clause saying they can't sue the producers, but a clause like that doesn't mean you can't sue the producers. You can.

There might also be a problem with fraud against the producers involving Memphis's loss of legally won prize money. That would be a pretty bald-faced con.

"RE: Your winner of BB 10 is......"
Posted by observer on 09-17-08 at 11:34 AM
The things that I find out about that go on behind the scenes of reality TV is always much worse than anything that I could imagine.

Also, I never vote for any contestants on any reality TV show. I think that producers use the number of votes as a general guideline. When Julie Chen said that Americans wanted Dan to vote Jessie out, there could actually have been more calls from people who wanted to evict Memphis. If that's true, then Jessie could have maybe lost out on the second place money.

Who knows what the producers are doing behind the scenes for the sake of ratings...

I've heard that there's always at least a little bit of truth in every rumor. And with some rumors, I think there's a lot of truth.

I found out about the heavy-handed meddling by the producers of the Big Brother show, when I read a post on this board. Big Brother is classified as "entertainment," not a game show; so the producers aren't breaking any rules by fixing competitions, for example.

If what goes on behind the scenes is supposedly so innocent, why are they not allowed to write tell-all books or talk about what goes on in the diary room?

At the time of the first Survivor, someone told me that boxes of fruit were given to the castaways by the staff. I don't know how this person found this information out. Also, during a rainstorm, the metal container with the rice washed away down a rain-swollen river. By the end of the episode, the metal container was visible on some branches in the river. I think someone on the production staff put it there: you can't let the castaways starve!

When Mario Lopez didn't win Dancing with the Stars, I was surprised: Lopez is a good dancer, and is popular. I read in the National Enquirer, that the show is rigged. I know the Enquirer is just a tabloid, but many, if not most, of the Enquirer's investigations have proved to be true.

I read that the Bachelor usually knows which woman he wants at the beginning of the season. I also read that the producers make suggestions to the Bachelor, about which other women to keep on the show. There was one woman whose parents refused to meet the Bachelor. This woman knew before the show started, that her parents wouldn't meet the Bachelor. There was a home date with that particular woman. I think it was the producer's choice: for the purpose of ratings.

The jury got it right. I think it's the first time since Dr Will that we have a player win primarily because of good strategy.

With the editing of Sunday's show, it really looked like BB wanted Jerry to win the $25K. Maybe it would have been a better choice than Keesha (because of his wife) but it's nice to see another BB twist go bad.

April and Jerry voting for Dan is almost as unbelievable as Christy voting for Jenna!

"RE: Your winner of BB 10 is......"

The fact Jerry came in 2nd to Keesha is scary and proves how editing of the TV show influences people. All the websites were voting for Keesha and Renny. Jerry's votes came from TV-only viewers. And he almost pulled it off. Scary. I am so happy Keesha got the fave jury member vote.

After the Q&A I wondered if Dan could sweep it. The jury did vote for the best player. Good for them. I am happy Dan won. Jerry's vote surprised me the most.

"RE: Big Brother 10 Final Stretch ECST"

Sure looked like April lobbied against Dan with the jury, so all I can think is it came down to her knowing from what others said that we didn't see, that Dan was going to win despite her vote.

Rather than look entirely like the bi{}ch she played on TV, she decided to vote for Dan so that she could at least say she voted for the winner, not the loser.

In April's world, it all has to be about April, and I doubt her vote had ANYTHNG to do with supporting Dan, rather 100% with trying to make herself look decent on TV ... even if she had to hug Keesha after Keesha won the 25K to do it. Image is all.

Go Dan! I'm so excited he won; I was rooting for him all the way. It was nice to see Brian again ... clearly the guy was too intelligent to last in the house ... Dan was intelligent but managed to hide it from the others.

"RE: Big Brother 10 Final Stretch ECST"
Posted by kingfish on 09-17-08 at 08:49 AM
That has to be the best explanation for April's vote. Except that I seriously doubt that it ever occurred to her that she came off as a bitch on TV. But her image was probably her motivating factor. It was interesting to hear her using references to Dan's 'mocking' of his housemates, that was a term that originated with Ollie.

I think a lot of TV viewers voted for Jerry simply because he came in third. Since Dan and Memphis decided to take Jerry to F3 rather than Keesha because of his deficiencies, then, logically, Keesha was the third best player, and it was fitting that she should win the $25K over Jerry.

Besides, Jerry was a mean spirited old fart.

They’re going to interview Dan and Memphis this morning(?), but it would be entertaining if they also talked to April and Ollie to see what they would offer up as a rationale for their votes. There are a few questions that could be asked of Jerry too, such as, how does he feel now knowing that his hatred of Dan was based on a false premise. Does he feel stupid, or what?

I think this season will serve to revive the popularity of BB after the horrible outcomes of the last few seasons. It did for me, at least.

This interview says why April and Jerry voted for Dan. Jerry explains that Dan always said "Goodnight" to him. April said that Dan asked about her and her family. Memphis never got to know her.

I watched most of the clips, and thought Dan's was the most straightforward. Which is what the jury seemed to think, and why he swayed the votes.

But I couldn't watch Ollie for long. He is so self-deluded that it's painful, he is even more so than April. But he is a young kid and he has time to figure things out.

"RE: Big Brother 10 Final Stretch ECST"
Posted by Outfrontgirl on 09-17-08 at 03:03 PM
yes, correction, I didn't mean that April thought she came off as a bitch. Way too deluded for that. What I meant was, that's how she did come off, but her intention was to look gopd and for her vote to have some "power."

As the lone vote for Memphis, or one of two if Ollie joined her, her vote would not help crown the winner, she would lose. I think April wanted to vote for the winner, and when she figured out her choice for winner wasn't going to be supported, she switched.

Pretty much the same as when the evictions come down to unanimous even though the vote was split prior to casting. The ones in the minority switch up in order to not go against the rest of the house.

I don't believe for a second that April wanted Dan to win, whatever rationale she came up with for her final vote.

It is possible though that she didn't like either of them, and only supported Memphis originally so as to wage one last battle with Keesha and Renny, who were obviously down on Memphis.

I know I was happy to see April lose to Keesha on who got the votes and on best-liked juror, and to get called out for her trash talking. Very satisfying.

After the horror of last winter, I almost didn't watch this edition, but thanks be to Dan and Memphis and Keesha for getting Libra, Ollie, April out of there and to Dan for putting the Renegades on top!

I liked them both - maybe Memphis a little more, so I was fine with either winning. I think Memphis completely blew it with the jury question. Not sure if that could have sealed a win for him though.

Loved Brian calling Michelle and April out on talking about Keesha. Loved it. They were so shocked. Whatever.

Great season, and Dan was a great player.

I'm glad that Dan won. He seemed to play the "Eddie Haskell" role, from the old Leave it to Beaver series. He was basically nice to everyone and showed an interest in everyone. He even sounded like Eddie Haskell in the diary room.

We all know who made this
