"case that sean might be in the final 2"

Sean may actually be on of the final surviors. Today on MSN.COM there is a news report that says that Sean had quit his medical practice & is looking into show biz. Now I speculate that since Sean has alot of publicity, from what the news report shows, I feel that there is a good case that Sean had won enough money that he could jump into this change of career quite easily without risking it financially. This is only my opinion, but it seems like a real possibility that he is in the final 2 (I think that the girls will go first, then Rich. Rudy will be the final winner, but Sean will come 2nd.) If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

In this game of SPOLIERS is nice if whenever possible to provide a URl link to specific articles to substanciate your finding. I am postive that it was on MSN.com, but it helps in the future to provide the URL to any information.

That being said, I think from the onset of the show, no matter what postion Sean finally finsihed, he was going to Retire from Malpractise and attempt to launch an Acting career. Even losers like Stacy have ambition to pursue life in the media. The exposure from survivor is a fleeting comodity. Take advantage of it when it is yours or you are just the next "Monica Lewinski" left holding the remains.

Sean's attempt to launch a career into Acting, places no bareance on his postion or eventual removal from the Island. It is merely and Ego driven event, Based on his current lenght of time in the spotlight, not a foreshadowing of future success as an eventual winner or final 2 placement. (but it could )

As Dennis Miller would say " I could be wrong" So I will end this Rant...

Have heard that Sean quit his
medical alphabet soup practice
before the show started,or at
least asked for a leave of
absence.It's hard for a young
medical doctor to just take
6 weeks off without pissing
off his superiors,so its at
least the latter.I'm sure
his sups would be glad to
be rid of him given his
indecisive,neurotic behaviour
on the show

Response to the person who wanted a URL for all spoilers. Do You think that just because someone posted something on the net then it is validated. I want to hear all theories. not just web based.. thanks,

Also Learn to read, Posting a URL doesn't validate a theory. Just when there are threads or story sources, It is nice to be able to read them via the URL, rather then take someone's Bias opinion or interpretation of said facts

I like Sean, but I thought doctors/nurses/etc. had a calling to become a doctor/nurse/etc. Why would he spend all that time and money on medical school if it were not a passion and a calling? It's so odd that he would throw that away for something so phony and meaningless.

The article also says he will go on a lecture tour. Hmmm....what could the topic be? HOW I BEAT OUT THE DASTARDLY ALLIANCE TO WIN A MILLION BUCKS? or HOW YOU TOO CAN PUT MY WINNING STRATEGY TO WORK IN THE REAL WORLD? All I know is that he's the only non-kicked-off survivor that's making news and planning for his post-survivor life.

This one came from MSN.com
It's a shame all those years and all that money spent on college is a total waist if this info is true.

Aug 10, 2000 — Survivor in space? Don't laugh. It could happen. Mark Burnett, who produces Survivor, wants to send someone into orbit.
According to the New York Daily News, Burnett is pitching a series called Destination Mir to the networks. The show would follow 13 to 15 contestants through the Russian space training program. Over the course of several weeks, hopefuls would be eliminated until one was left. That person would be sent on a 10-day trip into space, which would include a stopover at Russia's Mir space station. Burnett had approached NASA first, but officials said no.

It's a wild — and expensive — concept. The Daily News points out that the production would cost $20 million to mount. That expense would be assumed by the network that picks up the show.

Meanwhile, in more Survivor-related news: Sean Kenniff, the Long Island doctor, has stopped practicing medicine and is focusing on a showbiz career. According to EW.com, he'll appear on Fox News Channel's Web M.D. on Aug. 26, and he'll play a doctor on three episodes of Guiding Light. He's also embarking on a lecture tour this fall and is shopping around a novel.

Gervase Peterson, a basketball coach from Philadelphia, is also seeking fame and fortune. EW.com reports that he'll make his acting debut on an upcoming episode of UPN's The Hughleys. He is also discussing potential on-air jobs with CBS and Entertainment Tonight. —Christine Champagne, Gist TV Staff

Thanks for posting the article.

Judging from Sean's behavior on the show, his college time was a total waste even if this weren't true. Can't imagine new clients beating down his door!

At first, I thought the early start to Sean's publicity campaign might be an indication either that he won or he goes this week. However, if he won, he could wait until his "turn": after the final four. And, if he lost this week, he could also wait until after the show. Thinking about it, the only way that he would have needed to start his publicity now is if he lost in the final four (meaning that, if he waited, all the publicity would go to the winner) and if the person losing this week was someone likely to be in demand (meaning, to me, either Rudy or Richard).

If Sean wins it will truly be because of DUMB luck. I'm for Rich at this point -- at least he seems to be playing the game best.

"Sean had abandoned medicine even before Survivor "
Posted by Stjarna on 08-14-00 at 10:41 AM
Although at first this theory seems rather probable, it is also very inconclusive. Let's look at the evidence. Below is the link to a news story on this subject on EW's website:

http://www.ew.com/ew/daily/0,2514,3432,survivorsnervydoctorshops.html

In it, we are told that the Alphabet Boy "stopped practicing medicine in October" of 1999. Which clearly means that he'd abandoned his medical ambitions long before he was even selected for the show. At that time, he started working on a variety of entertainment-related projects.

Second, I doubt Sean would have had the time since the end of Survivor shooting to write a 360-page novel - obviously, he'd already started working on it before going on the show.

Third, Sean's own words "God forbid this is only a '15 minutes' thing for me" confirm that he doesn't have a ton of cash to back him up, since he has to rely on all the publicity to make his projects a viable career.

Looking at this evidence, I am convinced that there is no clear proof that he is the final Survivor. Moreover, I believe that my third point indicates quite the opposite - Sean is no winner!

With the urls we can identify facts, not just speculation. I aggree with your analysis and think you are on the right track!

so Sean jumped ship Oct 99, hummm. This helps back up the agent thing, setting up for his AUG 24 (end of gag order) media Bananza.!! Not that he wins, just that he needs the money!!! and that he had aspirations of an acting career prior to the Survivor contestant audition finals!!

Thank you STJ

Does anybody have the URL with the article about Sean shopping a book? It was on one of the SurvivorSucks boards but now I can't find it. A quick synopsis: it's a medical thriller that features the line (I swear I am not making this up) "he Baywatched her big breasts"...or words to that effect. If that doesn't sum up Sean, I don't know what does!

Sorry if this is beside the point. My two cents: IMHO, whether Sean is/isn't a doctor is probably meaningless. Can anybody imagine the cost of his malpractice insurance after Survivor? Yikes.

I still hope he makes the final two. I can't help but love him in a Gilligan sort of way.

Richard/Grimace comparison at http://www.angelfire.com/indie/brainingdamage for anybody interested.

Just how do you figure that Sean makes it to Final Two ?

Outside of Winning Immunity on Episode 12, 13, and 14 he can't undo the Richard-Rudy Alliance.

He gets outvoted.

As for his leaving his Career as MD. Have you been watching the show ?

Patient:
"Should we operate ?"

Doctor: "Well let's see, Saturday and Sunday start with a S. Tuesday and
Thursday with a T.
Wednesday with a W. Therefore Friday comes before Monday so following ABC, maybe we could operate on Friday. But wait, I have Golf on Friday"

Hmmmmmmmm.......
