Carnage should abound this week. Jessie was evicted 4-3, and one of his best friend's Michelle won the subsequent HoH, and she's out for revenge. Plus, it was promised that on Sunday's show that there would be a group of past hamsters from all 10 seasons re-entering the house for some kind of competition with the current crop.

We seem to have a fairly substantial delay on the start of Big Bother, which isn't unusual, but in case you can't wait to find out what happened, you have to wait.

The tourney finished around 7:40. Depending on how long the presentation was and such, you may be looking at a close to 9:00 start. (Good thing I programmed for 2 hours tonight. I just hope there's enough room on the tape.......)

Does he understand this a game?
A game where lying tends to get you ahead?
Did he inherit Jessie's everyone is here just to make sure I win delusion?

I though he was supposed to be some sort of fan of the game? Then why assume no one will ever lie to him?

Jerry going on for 20 minutes about Dan taking off his cross and burning in hell for voting Jessie out and betraying his word.

Let's flashback to week one, somebody took off the gear of the most important part of his/her life when he/she made a controversial, backstabbing division...off came the Marines gear when Jerry betrayed Brian.

Pieces of crap, all of them except Dan and Memphis and Renny.

"In the news, Food/Luxury comp vs. returners"
Posted by vince3 on 08-11-08 at 09:13 AM
Brian from this season hosts this game show-like competition in which the current hamster crop faces off against a bunch of hamsters from the first 9 seasons. The current crop are competiting for food for the days of the week, and a couple of prizes, while the returners are competing for $1,000 cash each.

Your returners: Chicken George, Bunky, Amy, Jun, Jase, Janelle, Boogie, Jen, and Matty

A current hamster steps up and picks a returner, then Brian will state something that might've been in the news since the hamsters have been trapped in the cage (which is about 30 days), then they'll pick a returner who'll give them some information about the story. Whether the returner's telling the truth...... is up to the current hamster to figure out. If the current gets it right they'll get that day's food or prize. If wrong, the house is on slop for that day, and the returner gets $1,000.

One thing to note: The current crop was in the HoH before the competition started, and they're in the living room during the game, while all the returners are outside in the backyard........ they're talking to each other using the house's monitors, just like they're talking to the Chenbot.

For Monday: Dan vs. Boogie. Did Brett Favre unretire and get traded to the Jets? (the last part happened on Wednesday.....) Boogie tells the truth. Dan doesn't buy it. He thinks it's false. After finding out it was true, they need to pick a number of hamster's mouths off of the floor....... Monday's a slop day, Boogie's got another $1,000!

For Tuesday: Renny vs. Jen. Is the national average of a gallon of gas over $6? Jen tells Renny that the story's baloney. Renny also thinks it's baloney. Tuesday's a good day to eat some real food.

For Wednesday: Jerry vs. Janelle. Good Lord. Was Jessie (who just got punted) offered a cover of Muscle and Fitness? Oocha. Janelle says it's baloney, and he's not that cute to boot! Jerry thinks it's true, however. Wednesday's another slop day, and Janelle gets some cash! (Grumblings are that Jessie's only been gone about 8 hours or so....... not enough time if it was true.......)

For a Grill (possibly the BBQ Smackdown grill....): Memphis vs. Amy. Did China ban bald and smelly taxi drivers during the Olympic games? Amy spins a tale that sounds too good to be true. Memphis doesn't buy it, and he's wrong! No grill, and Amy got some cash!

For Thursday (eviction day): Ollie vs. Matty. Chinese officials state they can prevent rainfall when they choose to do so? Matty's telling a tale that sounds BS. Ollie thinks it's BS. Unfortunately, it's true. (Although I don't think it works the way Matty told it........ I thought it involved missiles, and Matty was talking about them using laser beams......) They're gonna be grumbling on eviction day, and Matty got some cash.

For Friday: Libra vs. Bunky. Have Cheech and Chong reunited and gone on tour? Bunky says that it's happened. Libra doesn't buy it. It's true! They're gonna be on slop right off the bat this week.......(this took place on Friday.....) Bunky got some cash!

For a Feast!: Michelle vs. Jase. Did BB fake an earthquake to fool the hamsters? Jase tells them it's baloney. (Remember, they've been saying that the earthquake a couple of weeks ago they felt was fake......) Michelle guesses that it's baloney, and is right! They get a Feast!

For Saturday: April vs. Chicken George. Does Brittney Spears plan to record a country album? Chicken George says that Brittney's going back to her Southern roots to create a new image (which she needs) April buy it, but it's baloney! Saturday's another slop day, and Chicken George finally wins something!

For Sunday: Keesha vs. Jun. In an internet campaign ad, did Paris Hilton urge people not to vote for Dubya again? Jun says it's true, because she was supposed to tell them to not vote for McCain, but she screwed up, even though she called him "Old, wrinkly guy" Keesha thinks it's baloney. It is, so they got food for Sunday!

The house is on slop for 5 of the next 7 days, and they got a Feast in their future this week as well........

One thing we all know is that the ability to ad lib a lie convincingly is rare, especially among BBers. Chicken George was the only returning hamster to manage it.

They deserve to be on slop for not catching on.

Onions? ONIONS?!?!

Chop onions and put the chopped onions in one of two boxes. One for a prize, one for veto.

3 things to chop onions. Mallet. Mechanical Press that chops the onions or a knife.

Carry them in a small plastic cup that is hung around your neck.

Libra figures bigger pieces weigh more in total than the same onion in smaller pieces. She is using the knife. It is hard for her to get each big piece in the little chopped onion size hole.

Memphis is all about the prize.
April is trying for even amounts.
Jerry using the chop press and going for the veto.

Mystery box weigh in. top two get "prizes".

17.2 pounds is box alone

Memphis 33.8 pounds
April 24.7 pounds
Michelle 19.4 pounds
Keesha 17.6 pounds
Libra no onions at all
Jerry 17.2 pounds

Memphis gets to wear an onion necklace for 24 hours
April 5 designer outfits to wear in the house and take home.

Veto weigh in

Memphis 25.8 pounds
April 27.4 pounds
Michelle 31 pounds
Keesha 29.8 pounds
Libra 32 pounds
Jerry 36.8 pounds

Libra says she didn't set up the Jessie Boot, she tosses Keesha under the bus.

Michelle talking to Keesha about Libra being mean during the dinner.

Michelle wants to get friends to go against each other and this seems to be working (as well as the wine).

Posted by Snidget on 08-12-08 at 09:10 PM
Nominee speeches.

Keesha. I know why I am here and I take responsibility for Jessie and I don't expect you to use it on me.

Libra. I voted Jessie out and I will take the consequences of that and I understand you won't use it on me.

Jerry talking about how he feels about last week. You two wouldn't have been my choice but I had no power than. Dan you wear a cross and carry a bible and you said you would give up your religion before you break your word and you will always be Judas in my house. Dan this is your lucky day I will keep my word to the HOH and not use the power of veto.

This meeting is adjourned.

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by kingfish on 08-12-08 at 09:18 PM
OK. Someone is going home Thursday, my guess is that Libra is toast.

But that speech by Jerry, Hmmm. I wonder if we will see a HOH challenge weighed in favor of Dan. Whatever that would be. Because if I was producer, I'd do every thing I could to have Dan win, and assume he would nominate Jerry and pawn (maybe Renny).

It just seems like the best drama happens whenever the power shifts.

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by vince3 on 08-12-08 at 09:28 PM
Here lies the possible problems with weighing the HoH toward Dan.

1. He's been playing Will's "I refuse to win competitions, but I'll win the entire game by sheer charisma" strategy.

2. Doing something like that won't lower the "Dan is America's (Permanent) Player" thoughts that has been floating around the house at various times..........

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by kingfish on 08-13-08 at 09:07 AM
Time for some more Diary Room manipulation. Actually, he's feeling pretty vulnerable, he might be ready to compete since, if Jerry wins, he will be up again.

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by mia rules18 on 08-13-08 at 10:41 AM
Exactly...Dan needs to step up (step in even) his game. If Jerry does win HOH, he's obviously number one target. Plus, hello...everyone in the house is on to you Dan. They know you're throwing challenges. They even know you are (were) America's Player. I'd like to see him win it.

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by Estee on 08-13-08 at 10:52 AM
There's one potentially glorious aspect to a Dan HoH reign. If the hamsters continue to believe he's America's Player, the next semi-logical presumption (which is admittedly asking a lot of this crew) is that his nominations would be determined by popular vote. Which means whoever Dan puts up are the people America hates. And given how full of themselves most of this group is, with a couple of them absolutely convinced they're adored nationwide...

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by Snidget on 08-13-08 at 10:57 AM
*giggle*

Oh that could be completely amusing.

I wonder what questions BB asks on the psych evaluation to ensure they get hamsters that are completely certain America just lurves them.

Or is it a feature of "Stockholm Syndrome" where they believe however the DR is flirting with them is exactly how America feels?

Didn't Ivette, Maggie and her crew originate that America must just love and adore me syndrome? Maybe it should be named after them...

"RE: Power of Veto meeting"
Posted by Estee on 08-13-08 at 04:12 PM
Amber came to mind first because she was taking it as a substitute for crystal meth. But yeah -- the original Nerd Herd of Maggie and her happy little brainwashed sheep threw that theory all over the place, mostly in the HoH room because they were also convinced there were no feed cameras there.

I'm sure there were people deciding they were truly worshiped way before that, though. If you want to qualify them as 'people'.

"Pre-emption/Thunder zones"
Posted by vince3 on 08-14-08 at 03:21 PM
By the sounds of things the Pittsburgh area's about to get a thunderstorm that could be a touch big.

Just as well. The Steelers are playing the Bills in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and it's, of course, on the CBS affiliate. Big Brother's pre-empted in this area until after Craig Ferguson. That means it won't be on until at least 1:30 Friday morning...........

Anyone else in pre-emption zones tonight? Naturally the thunderstorm we're about to get might also make someplace miserable, too.............

"RE: Pre-emption/Thunder zones"
Posted by Snidget on 08-14-08 at 03:36 PM
No preemption here.

What did the Carolina Panthers just decide not to have any exhibition games this year?

We've got a few thunderstorms in the area but only a 30% chance I'll get anything out of them.

"RE: Pre-emption/Thunder zones"
Posted by vince3 on 08-14-08 at 03:53 PM
They were on Saturday last week. They're playing tonight, but it's on Fox, probably Nationally. They're playing on Saturday next week, and then........ they're playing here in Pittsburgh on Thursday in two weeks. Which means we may both be pre-empted that week.........

I was on hamsterwatch earlier and they have a link on the left side under Internet Stream that says it lets you watch the show as it airs live. I haven't tried it yet, but plan to tonight as there will be a pre-emption here is KC in the next few weeks.

A friend of mine was able to watch the show live on the internet last week when we were pre-empted, but don't know if this is the site she used.

Dan is loving the sympathy he is getting over the Jerry speech.
Libra says she is a dead women walking.
Keesha thinks she could be evicted as Jessie thought he was safe.

April says Keesha is a liar and manipulator (like the pot calling the kettle blond), and Keesha thinks she's getting away with the Jessie eviction. April thinks Keesha's just after her because April is prettier, and she says they have to get Keesha out.

Memphis making alliance talk with Dan with Keesha and Renny. Dan wants to call them the Wild Mustangs. Memphis says The Renegades.

Even worse than an alliance revealed, an alliance named.

Showing Ollie laying on top of April, but clothes are on. They are talking alliance with Jerry, and that is all up to Dan, again.

So April works out what lies and manipulations to tell Dan to get him to vote with them.

Ollie asks Libra if she still wants to be there. Sends Libra off to get Dan's vote.

Libra campaigns to Dan, he says he is open-minded but he needs more information. He is interested in leaving a target in the game that isn't after him.

After the Break Libra's family answers the critics.

Jerry, Ollie, April why they want to evict Keesha.

She's got a deadly hyena laugh, so she has to go.

April thinks Keesha's just after her because April is prettier

Angie probably found that really ironic.

Libra has a charm braclet with kids stuff. Husband said she could go.

Husband encouraged her so she could have that experience. Libra's Mom lives 5 minutes away. 4 year old misses and loves her.

Shows Libra crying over missing her kids. Scott says the most difficult thing is being away from family. Can add security to the kids future and the risk was worth the reward. They liked that she took the trip to Hawaii. They were not happy about Michelle wanting her kids taken away. Especially just over a trip. Granny says that is Bipolarism. (I think that was who the quote was from).

Livingroom chat with houseguests.

Dan. Your religion has been brought up, does faith influence you?

I've made mistakes and the first thing I'm doing is going to confession.

Jerry You still think he's Judas?
I was hurt and feel strongly that religion was a prop and I still feel that way.

Dan, response. What bothered me was I'm a teacher and that should be Mr. Judas. He would have give him a detention, but he'll just forgive him.

Memphis you were shocked over the Judas thing. About this game being personal and attacking person. Dan made it clear to me Judas hung himself. When personal attacks come out I'm on the side of the people I like.

Renny, all the people have surprised me. They are all wonderful and unique.

Memphis, Renny and Dan on why keep Keesha. Dan with a bit of Libra keepage, just for her chaos creating.

Michelle.

Status with April relationship.

Happy Anniversary to parents. She is attached to me because the other girls turned on her and I keep my word.

Harsh things you said. Is there anything you said you regret. I regret what I said about Dan burning in hell. I don't think Libra is a bad mother, I would have taken the letter. I do say a lot of things without thinking, and I am trying to change that.

Letter from home, family was supportive. It was exactly what I needed. I appreciate them and I miss them and I hope they are proud of me.

Moments away from the live vote. Will be the first member of the jury.

Nominee speeches.

Keesha. No hard feelings if you evict me. I have loved every last minute. I take full responsibility for while I am up there. I will see one of you next week if you evict me.

Libra. Crazy game of power struggles. Changes on a dime. Stand proud with what I did last week. You have to think for yourself. Either way it goes you need to play it for yourself and have fun and it's called Big Brother.

"The producers have learned nothing."
Posted by Estee on 08-14-08 at 07:50 PM
The voting order in last week's eviction gave away every last guilty party to Michelle -- and if Libra manages to stay, it'll do the same in revealing who evicted Keesha. They may want to give each potential HoH a roadmap to their revenge -- possibly because they feel these hamsters are too stupid to manage on their own -- but it's still getting a little ridiculous.

Libra interview.

She says she has to rock it out.

Why was your alliance so explosive.

Same age, same ideas, A-type dominate personalities. We want to push the envelope. If it weren't for the house we'd get along but there is competition and a big old prize.

People thought you were the master mind.

I deserve some credit but not all of it. I did do my dirt and it did catch up with me but it was fun doing it.

Critics for leaving family. Why do it?

It is a paradox you want to win so you leave your family for your family. It would help us in the long run if I won. IT was about the challenge as well as the money. I do what I am supposed to do and when the opportunity was there I put myself out there.

Goodbye messages.

Ollie, selfish decision and this is the result
April, You were deceitful and it came back to get you. Bad move
Renny. Mother to mother we had a connection. I felt your pain missing your kids and I hope we comforted one another.
Jerry. Strong player and manipulative and behind most of the evictions.
Keesha. Never forget our friendship and wish only the best.

Diary Room Confessions.

Read a quote from the DR, someone evicted through Jessie. First person buzz in must say who. Correct answer you say and you eliminate someone else.

1. Oh God one of my naps finally paid off.

Renny says Jessie Correct
Eliminates April

2. The player got played

Dan says Brian Correct
Eliminates Jerry

3. Kinda makes you feel lonely...interrupeted

Ollie says Steven, Incorrect.

It was Angie

4. What doesn't come out in the rinse comes out in the wash if you well.

Memphis says Steven Incorrect
It was Jessoe

5. Jessie is a tool in all sense of the world

Dan says Angie incorrect.
It was Steven

6. After the first sentance of Jerry's speech my heart dropped into my stomach

Renny gets Brian quote correct and is the new HOH.

Memphis says Steven Incorrect was Jessie

Get them Lolly-pops. Jerry is old enough to have blood sugar problems, maybe that will get him medvac'ed out.

Coconuts (killer colesterol) might do the same thing.

Bologna is kinda like slop. Not quite Spam, but close.

"RE: America's Vote"
Posted by SilverStar on 08-14-08 at 09:14 PM
My immediate thought was coconuts. They would actually enjoy the lollipops, and bologna is a real food (arguably, though I love it) that they could make sandwiches and stuff with. But coconuts? they wouldn't even be able to open them! They have no sharp knives to open them with. So, give them the food that they won't even be able to eat. Perfection.

They may have "butter" knives for spreading stuff like mayo, etc. on sandwhiches or toast....... but sharp knives? Nope.

If they need them for something like a steak, I think they provide them for that meal only.

You can thank the idjit from season 2 who threatened another hamster with a knife for that...........
