Good evening, everyone, and welcome back after a week's hiatus. My local affiliate is televising college basketball tonight so I won't see TAR until, well until I have time to watch what I record at 2:30 am tonight.

But I'll be checking here. Have fun and don't leave out any grisly detail.

*blinks* *Rubs eyes* *looks out window for the four horsemen of the apocolypse*

WTF. My local affiliate is showing TAR at it's usual time when there is basketball going on.

That is just wrong.

I was really surprised that the Weavers actually liked Bart. That's the first thing they've liked (that isn't them) in weeks!

I saved some time by making sure I was depressed going in. If it's elimination, it'll be the Bransens and that'll mean a Weaver presence in the final three. If it's non-elimination, it's the Weavers and I'll have to watch Linda pasting Bible pages all over her body and calling it clothing.

She'll probably lick them first.

I'm pretty sure she'd consider it consecrating.

Come to think of it, if you have a passage tattooed onto your body -- well, that's a subject for another time.

It starts with the longest recrap outside of a final episode in TAR history. Okay, Phil, we know it's been two weeks. Our attention spans and memories go back that far. Thank you.

It's against Mama Weavers beliefs to be treated rudely (is that what I heard??).

'cause I thought it was treat others the way you want to be treated, not others will treat you the way they want to be treated.

Let the Weaver-bashing begin!

I love how it "goes against their beliefs" to be treated like the turds they are...

Godlewskis ripping on Christine for talking too much.

Weavers leave 20 minutes behind the lead two teams, Bransens another 20 minutes behind them.

Wally's Obligatory Comment this week is about how with fewer teams, they need to be more aggressive.

EVERYONE having troubles with directions.

It's going so far as it was posted on another thread. With the (blecch!) Weavers, first.

Sister Act grabbed #2
Bengal Pride grabbed #3 (Both are looking to yield the Weavers)
Bransens, nowhere to be seen!

Godlewskis get a dead car battery due to some production problems.

SUX TO BE THEM, even though it's probably NEL anyways?

"RE: S8-EP8 East Coast Update Thread"
Posted by Estee on 11-22-05 at 09:31 PM
Weird -- usually if there's a production problem, the team gets a time credit. No help on the departure time, so if it shows up, it'll be at the mat.

If.

I have a vague memory that there was some discussion that there seemed to be a lot of Nonelimination legs on this season. Pure speculation, but this camera crew error makes me wonder if this leg was supposed to be elimination was made NEL when this happened. We'll likely never know though. We'll see if this actually is a NEL in a little while.

I have a sinking feeling that tonight is a non-elimination. So, no need for celebratory festivities yet. Will only make the thud accompanying their continued race existence that much harder.

J Slice -

Just between you and me, but shhhhh . . . I've been rooting for the Weavers for about three weeks now . . . not because I particularly like them (I'm actually rather ambivalent), but because I want to see the boards consumed by utter anarchy after they win. I've been making the appropriate sacrifices to Beelzebub to make it happen - and my plan is working so far. Hehehe . . .

Have a happy holiday and I'll see you at finale time.

Rolly Weaver...has anyone noticed how retarded Rolly has been acting tonight? Me and my sister are laughing our butts off at almost everything he's been saying & doing tonight.

"It's like a pimple on a mountain"
and don't forget him jumping through a window.

Those are things...I would do. Gosh.

He's so cute!
I love him.

Too bad they're either in last for a NE or they're eliminated.
I like the way they were eating McDonald's at the yield.

For Rolly's sake, yes. And I really don't mind their Us vs. Them attitude, that's actually a healthy thing in a competition. What I do find irritating is they take everything so personally and their sense of entitled superiority to everyone else. And that was some gorgeous country they passed through tonight, I don't know why they can't appreciate the grandeur of God's fine work.

The Linzes ARE shallow. They're also college kids, so being shallow makes them no different from at least 95% of their peers

I'll have to take exception on the hypocritical and heartless claims though. I haven't seen any of that yet...plus, the Weavers *WERE* in last place when they got to the Yield mat, so Yielding them was the right decision.

Quite frankly, you just sound bitter

The Weavers are going to win the Amazing Race and become the most loathed underdog team (and as much as most people hate them, I will agree with them that they are underdogs - one mother, two teenagers, and a kid versus three all-adult teams?) all-time to take 1st place.

What is a waste is where TAR's put it....non-elim leg....so they lose money and clothes which we have seen mean nothing and more time behind means nothing until the next bunch point at the start or middle of the next leg....

Kinda surprised lots of people disagree with me.
Weavers made fun of people sure, and they use the name Jesus alot.

I still like them for some reason. This season has been boring for me. I really hope Kasar and Janelle are on the next one, or I might not watch it.

Actually I was a fan of Rob and Amber on the Race, but I was happy the other team won (Uchena and Joyce), because they really needed the money. Rob and Amber didn't need it. But I had fun watching Rob's sly play.

"RE: Psst!"
Posted by Ryan DeMaster on 11-22-05 at 11:12 PM
That's the thing: Rob knew what he was doing, he knew it was a RAAAAAAAAAACE, and most importantly, he wanted to be there.

The Weavers know none of those things.

Honey, unfortunately, it's common.

Slut-clothes tend not to look good on anybody, but if you've got apparent rolls, it's time to move on to some clothing that fits.

I was willing to let got of size 6's and embrace being an 8. I look sooo much better.
