"Be the Amazing Racer 9 Signup Thread"

What is this “Be the Amazing Racer”, you ask? Well, it’s a game. You sign up to “speak” as one of the contestants.

Here is the current Survivor version.
Here is the current American Idol version.

Gods help us, there’s even a Starting Over version.

Be funny, be snarky. Bash ‘til your little heart’s content. No-one wins at the end, so there’s no competition. Do you think you know what was going on in a racer’s head when say, she showed her butt to the world? or when he called his stepmom a nasty name? Post it here!

RULES

1. Casting: Sign up for a Character from the show to speak for/represent (reply below). One spot per character - first come basis. You may not be someone already taken or reserved. I try to be fair and work it out if there is a problem.

2. Please post at least once a week/episode, at least until your team is eliminated, after that - optional, you may still add comments. If you're going be out just send me a PM. If you miss 2 weeks without notice, I will have to reassign the character.

3. Sign the bottom of EVERY post you write with your Racer’s name or picture. Characters are difficult to keep track of. I will make up sig pics.

4. Speak as your character would speak, and speak for them. Share your character's inner thoughts about what happened in the episode, and what they think of the other Racers. Praise, tease or bash away. Be funny.

5. Have fun, this is not for SERIOUS bashing. Also, be careful not to post any big spoilers (like who is going). Don't bash other players personally.

6. If your character is eliminated, you get the privilege of writing your own "final remarks", so PLEASE DO. You are encouraged to continue to post from Sequesterville.

7. If your character wins, you win.... the coveted title of Be the Amazing Racer Winner and that is all.

8. Anyone not signed up as a character/Racer, is still invited to make comments about the characters or about posts, just please do not speak as a character - just be a cameraperson, taxi driver, menu item, etc.

By all means PM me if you have a question or whatever.

I am reminded of an old episode of The A-Team where they were doing a monster movie (of course) and the lead actor's name was Charles Lake. They ended up firing him or something, but they had a contract that they couldn't make the movie without "Lake, Charles". So they filmed it with Face as the lead actor, who then went and registered himself with the actor's union as 'Lake Charles'.

Um, anyway...

Apparently, both sisters are over 6 feet tall. Wow. I didn't get much of a sense of Joni's personality from the video. Maybe because Lisa did all the talking.

In their video, Fran and Barry say they want to win, unlike 'the old couple' in previous Races.

Fran says that she might not be as young as some of the other Racers, but she's got a lot of endurance.

This is a very tough choice. I did my research. Lake and Michelle are me and my DH, so she would be easy to play. I have a strange feeling Swahili boy and his man will be around for a long time, so that would be fun to do. But then there are the "twins." I have always wanted big oobies and I sooo can talk like the cardio bunnies I work out with at the gym, so I would like to play Danielle....or Dani...or both, since in the end we won't be able to tell them apart anyways! I just hope they last longer than two episodes.

As for the tag line, I was thinking "Pink Thing 1" and who ever does Dani could have "Pink Thing 2". Another idea is "Left Oobies" and "Right Oobies". Then there is "We're Breast Friends". Oh, the list does go on!

You're right! I can't tell them apart. Even their names are alike. I had a hard enough time telling the nutty brothers Brian and Greg apart, even though they were my favourite team that year.

Hey Joseph, glad you decided to race with me; bout time! Do you think we are "Ken and Barbie"? Ok, I'm pretty sure that I’m "Barbie." So, I guess that would make you "Ken" by default. I find you hot and you're good looking and all, but face it, you're not really Ken caliber. I don't think that other couple, you know the other one with the girl with the blond hair, is "Ken and Barbie." She's too syrupy sweet. NO ONE is that sweet. We'll sweep the floor with them. And besides which, I'm so blond and pretty and perfectly toned cause I work out every min. of the day. So, I'm sure I'm "Barbie."

Oh, and by the way, if you tell anymore of my secrets to world, I'm so gonna only let you touch me on Fri. afternoons in between my work-outs, instead of our usual Sun, and Fridays.

She's Racing with her mom, Wanda. They say that part of their strength will be that they don't have to worry about where their relationship is headed, like some teams in previous Races.

Wanda admits that when she gets silly sometimes, Desiree has to "be the mother".

With gameplay sigs, I generally don't add them to my user profile, but I believe some people do.

I just save the URLs in a Word document,

and bring them out

as necessary with a cut and paste.

Perhaps someone will explain how to do what you're asking.

Well, I must say, that was sooo thrilling. I get to fly -- and John helped so much. Boy that helicopter was incredible (and the pilot -- well, John was there so I just be quiet).

But being the first to get eliminated, that just sucked. I wanted to go further. Why couldn't the roadblock been something simple -- like dog walking (aren't our poochies just dandy?)

I'll be here keeping Sequesterville nice and happy and free from yukky stuff. Also, there's some guy here wanting to know where to hid the cluebox...
