The feeds will start up tonight sometime after the BB premiere. Please keep the details of the feeds here. It's probably gonna be a more realistic story here than on the show anyways..........

Actually I think that was the OCD girl. You'll note that she had to have her buppies squeezed 5 times.

You GO, Jerry!!!

Over at TVClubhouse, they have this screenshot of POV and JERRY. So far, no confirmation from HGs as to its use or even if Jerry did indeed win it.

..and the feeds have been up only for a few hours.

Steven said about Libra, "...that colored girl." I wonder how the gay cowboy community will handle the controvery .

In other first-night news:

Jerry and Brian had a falling out and their alliance is no more. Brian is now nominated (I think Jesse was taken down).

Jerry received a Glen Miller CD with his HOH stuff.

Renny has changed outfits so often that some people are starting to keep track of how many per hour.

Anyone starting to think Endemol is only going to cast hate-filled, bigoted, ohmigawd-please-die gay males for the rest of this series' run? After all, look how well the last one worked out.

Something for this season's drinking game, perhaps?

Apparently the other one is Jessie talking about his body. But the people playing that one on Jokers say it should be reserved for hard core drinkers.

And combined with the 'take a shot when Renny changes her outfit' subgame, we already have half the feed population getting their stomachs pumped.

Well, that was quick: Steven's sexuality is already out of the bag. (Admittedly, we're not sure how long they've been in there, but -- geez. Way to keep a secret.) It also sounds like these are DAWs and followers of DAWs: some to all have met Jen (and weren't impressed).

Memphis used to be a model. What a shock. A model/mixologist/self-entitlement PhD. Standard combo. He also seems to hate Canadians for some reason. Steven just hates Libra. Wonder why?

Ollie, April, and Libra appear to be fairly openly aligned. Steven seems to have fallen in with Brian and Dan -- now there's an odd triad.

Brian and Jerry are very much on the outs: Jerry's fairly angry with Brian, and it sounds like it might be military-based -- a lie Brian might have told? No veto ceremony yet, but it definitely feels like Brian's the replacement for Jessie.

Because she's colored. Duh.

Jerry's fairly angry with Brian, and it sounds like it might be military-based -- a lie Brian might have told?

According to Hamsterwatch, Jerry and Brian had some kind of "Semper Fi" Marine's alliance, but then Brian announced that alliance to the world...or at least some of the others. This pissed off Jerry, who used the veto to take off Jessie, and put Brian up.

Duh.

It was a sarcastic sort of wondering. He's willing to work with her for a while, anyway -- at least long enough to get the declared four targets out. But that's just one layer of the onion, and it doesn't have him in direct cooperation -- just vaguely on the same side in the interests of not getting his own hide hung out to dry.

Steven has openly stated his personal numerical estimate of the total feed watchers: about two hundred. We already knew he was one of the recruits, and it looks as if we can put him down for being one of the contestants who know nothing about the series. He's not worried about who might hear what he says, because he really seems to believe there's barely anyone listening -- and of course CBS would never show it on the main broadcast, right?

Which is actually one of the biggest questions for the Tuesday and Wednesday airings. Do they expose Steven and let him take his trial in the court of public opinion? Remember, they did their best to hide Amber for a long time...

"Veto ceremony over."
Posted by Estee on 07-14-08 at 03:55 PM
Jessie off: Brian up.

It's starting to get nasty in there. The current trend is for the majority to get out the following four: Renny, Dan, Brian & Jerry -- make sure they're gone pre-jury. Which tells you both who the majority is and that they're all expecting the jury to start at nine, with no U-turns.

It looks like the gropefest was a preview of how things are going to be this season: Ollie's already tossed some of the saintly ways aside to announce that if it wasn't for the cameras, he and April would already be at it. (Rough translation. You may not want the original words.) Jerry's apparently been giving dissertations on how to have an active sex life at seventy-five, including discussion of any and all artificial aids involved. Steven doesn't see a need for that sort of medication or toy, but that's because he has another passion: self-medicating. Hello, Vicodin!

Having fun yet?

"And one from the 'they never learn' department."
Posted by Estee on 07-14-08 at 03:59 PM
Maybe because they're incapable of being taught: Steven hasn't gotten a grip on the 'no singing' rule, and has already been treated to a few screams from the production staff. In turn, Steven has been screaming right back -- about not getting into the DR when he got up grouchy, which may be Steven's default state if he doesn't get to sing. It's too early to tell.

I think it was Stephen who advanced the theory (which he claims to have gleaned from the rulebook) that if they ask the producers for more alcohol, they'll actually be given less. So we can pretty much assume Steven's never seen the show before.

"The Psycho and The Sock Puppets"
Posted by Rebel Crown on 07-15-08 at 05:00 AM
No, it's not a rock band. It's a wrap-up of Day 2 on the live feeds.

During a game of charades, Jerry gave Angie "Psycho" and said something to the effect that she would be good at this one; Angie took that personally, and ended up crying for some time. Apologies were given, but Jerry seemed annoyed at her sensivitity.

Michelle drove several people crazy with her constant babble on the same subject. Also, somehow, Steven saw her, uh, vah-jay-jay and didn't apologize to her for 5 hours. This was upsetting to her, which she let everyone know several times.

The evening wrapped with with Sock Puppet Theater, complete with voting, an eviction and Julie Chen. They rushed into the DR soon afterward, presumably to catch the magic of Will and Boogie's phone call skit.

From Jokers:

Steven, Dan, Brian, Angie, Memphis Puppet Show
After making sock puppets of all the HG and Julie Chen. They put on a fake eviction ceremony. The HG made fun of Renny for her crazy voice and "shout out" routines. Ollie and April were made fun of for being together and April had fake boobs on the puppet. They made fun of Libra for trying to run the game. All 3 voted for Brian. After those 3 votes Angie (who was being Chenbot) said "Now that we have all the votes that matter, lets go reveal the decision to the household." (IMO the funniest part) Then they revealed the twist which was the grim reaper who was going to kill the evicted HG as they walk out of the house. The grim reaper puppet was the same as the Libra puppet. I don't know if that was intentional. After the puppet show was over, they all went into the DR.

Hhmmm, grim reaper outside the house...

There is no way Julie will ever let this make the air... at least not if she decides they were after her too.

Surfkitten Summer Sigshop 2008

"Timeline."
Posted by Estee on 07-15-08 at 07:01 AM
This is Day Eight: they went in July 7th. Season finale is currently scheduled for September 17th, making this a slightly shorter-than-average season.

Sounds like Brian's death warrant is beyond even a pardon from the governor (if not a U-turn from the host): some people are adding up his votes against and getting nine.

"Ratings."
Posted by Estee on 07-15-08 at 10:07 AM
A little more than Steven's projected two hundred, but not by much.

From Variety: 'According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, CBS' "Big Brother" got off to a fairly good start — at least for a Sunday premiere. The summer stalwart averaged a 2.1 rating/7 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall to win the 8 o'clock hour, a roughly 50% demo improvement in the timeslot for CBS vs. last week's "Million Dollar Password." It comes in as the lowest-rated season premiere for the show (which usually bows midweek), although it was on par with its Sunday premieres of recent seasons.'

Brian continued to work the house, sending Angie and Steven out trolling for votes. Which led to Angie and Keesha whispering and looking all suspicious to April and Libra. Which led to April feeling not enough attention was being paid to her and/or they were talking about her. April really wants to confront Keesha about it.

Then, being a traditional BB house, a fight broke out.

April had to be restrained, and was worried afterward that she may be kicked out. April is now embarrassed, but Keesha is not ready to talk to the "Barbie bi*ch".

A couple things I read struck me as funny:

One HG said that Jen BB8 was dating Nick BB8. (HA! Leftovers for Jen!)

Ollie thinks nobody should talk about people behind their backs. Uh, what show did you think you were going to be on, dufus?

Then, being a traditional BB house, a fight broke out.

*snark*

Any physical contact, or were the combatants pulled back before they could get at each other? It it's the later, we're probably looking at both people staying -- and BB's been kind of dubious about any no-contact rules anyway. (See: Dick, Evel)

It looks like Steven's racism may be back-burnered for a while: as Brian's fall was the story for Tuesday, any catfight -- even a stalled-out one -- will take airtime priority tonight.

Full disclosure: I don't have the feeds, I'm getting my info from Jokers and TVClubhouse reports, and the discussions both sites are having.

From what I could gather, no actual physical contact was made. Ollie restrained April before she got close enough to land a punch.

However, the speculation at TVC of why it started is Keesha was having "bowel constriction" problems and April just started her period. So, the combination of stress, paranoia, constipation, and cramps resulted in them screaming at each other.

Sounds like a new ACTIVIA commercial in the works!

Hamsterwatch has a description of the fight. Apparently water was thrown and April had a pool cue in her hand when she went after Keesha.

LAST EDITED ON 07-16-08 AT 05:09 PM (EST)

The pool cue will be the cause of a good old-fashioned Diary Room Talking To. I'm just not sure about a kick-out -- BB doesn't want to lose the drama this early, and the days where we knew they'd boot someone for a weapon are long gone.

Still... wonder if they've got a back-up contestant?

ETA: Just watched the clip. This is a very curse-prone group. And watch Jerry, using the incident as a way to get Keesha into his bedroom... (Of course, there's a slight chance he went to the couch. But don't count on it.)

Penalty nomination, maybe?

"Creepout moment of the week."
Posted by Estee on 07-16-08 at 04:28 PM
Jerry escorted Keesha to the DR so he could help her ask for an enema.

The crew has already chewed the cast out for talking about production methods on the feeds. A major chew-out.

A couple of people think Jerry is turning into Cappy: everything goes through him, everything must be seen by him, and it's only so many hours before the first 'Lights out!'

Looks like Brian has seen one BB season before this. For Australia. Although he is catching on fast, for whatever that's worth when you're doomed. (The DR may be playing games again, trying to convince the hamsters to dump Renny: Brian makes for better TV.)

And we got this exchange:

Steven (talking about the producers -- do they ever learn?): "I guarantee they listen to us.. anything we talk about, they won't ask."
Brian: "Then I counted all those blades of grass for nothing."
