Hey peeps!

I thought I would come over here to contemplate GT's summary. You see I was high as a kite last night when I read the damn thing, so it made absolutely no sense. I'm now half asleep and I can't believe she turned me into a puddle. The witch was Misto, shouldn't she have been the melty one? Oh well. Now I can go back to being the 'rebel without a clue'. I excel at that, I have since high school.

Hey Supe! I brought you some bacon bits and a diet Dr. Pepper. My student dentist told me that Dr. Pepper rots your teeth. I think Diet Dr. Pepper is OK though. You don't really have to drink it thought cause diet drinks taste horrible. Here, have a Clearly Canadian. I got you Blackberry because it is yummiest. I think Clearly Canadian is the best thing to ever come out of Canada. Why is it bottled here in Dallas? Hey did you know if you get a splinter and put bacon on it the bacon fat will force the splinter to the surface?

I just wanted to point out that I would never be bad on a voting thread. And I don't ever drink that diet Dr.Pepper stuff. Ick diet soda is yucky ( and very very bad for you ) I am one of those people who buy the store brand Dr. K soda anyway, because my kid didn't know the difference anyway, and now that she does know the difference, she thinks that Dr.Pepper is a treat, something special you get only if you are in a resturant or it's your Birthday or something like that.
Ummm, what were we talking about??? Oh Yea, I'd like a BBQ Briscut sandwich with onions and extra BBQ sauce. Oh and that coleslaw stuff, love the coleslaw.

Time to get serious. Anti-aspartame claims have reached the category of urban legend, and yet there is some truth to them.

In the overwhelming majority of the population, aspartame breaks down harmlessly into two amino acids ... but the situation isn't quite that simple. There is a potential problem with one of the amino acids, phenyl alanine. An inherited condition called phenylketonuria (PKU) leaves some people without the enzyme necessary to convert phenyl alanine to tyrosine (the normal metabolic reaction for this amino acid).

The real issue is that no one knows how many people suffer from PKU. Estimates vary from less than one-half of one percent of the US population all the way up to seven percent, and (as far as I know) no one is studying this. As a result, if you feel like you get headaches from diet soda, you're probably right, and you shouldn't drink it at all EVER. But most people should experience no problem EVER.

Wait just a minute--you've got Yoko in there three times, making this the Top 3 most hideous sounds known to man! (In case you can't tell, I'm counting her as #4 and #2, as well as #1.)

A closet Yoko fan? Ennnngghhh--maybe not. . . I never liked the Beatles enough to hate her for their breakup (wasn't the women--the guys just outgrew each other), and I do have a small appreciation for her sense of the ridiculous (have you seen her "art"?!) And what kid hasn't tried out that ooooohhOOOOooooOOOooowawawawawawahhhhHHHHhhh crap at the top of their lungs out in the back yard at least once? Maybe she's just unusually in touch with her inner child! At least I can honestly say I have never paid money for her work.

And also LMAO, OFG--I debated using Suzy Creamcheese as my ID here. . . but figured I'd already branched out in enough directions for Ep. 8 that any reference to "what's got into you?!" would be overkill. I'll be sure to pepper my posts with plenty of FZ for you in the future, if you like.

To the rest of you--Superman had to start the thread by Tuesay night due to his work schedule, and then he did it a day early.

I was hoping to buy some time...I am not anywhere near recouping from this Oz rave. So I will not read this thread until I've committed to the bootee for Ep 9 to dabo, per AyaK's rules. Yes, I still remember he set up rules, and one of them involved not having the writer read the vote thread BEFORE writing...

Not that it would help much with this thread! At this point I'm trying to decide whether to boot Diet Dr. Pepper or regular Dr. Pepper. One tastes yucky, but the other's bad for your teeth.

Then there's the dark horse, the Store Brand... Cheap and tasteless, but Ebug's kids'll drink it anyway til the handsome Dr. comes along... (apologies to Ebug, who is SO GOOD butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, although why that's a good thing I can't say... Please don't put me back in that stinking box Misty mailed you!)

JV, the history behind the "Who's Awake" thresds is that Supe's computer has Ye Olde Firewall problem - he can't chat, so one night, he and Vamps did this and it kinda stuck (get it??? Stuck??? GLUE??? Buaaaahaaahaa!!!)

They're fun to read through, but after about #70, I have the same problem you do in getting it to load - alot of times, reply-heavy thresds past that number just crash my computer! (Believe me, they'd take it to chat if they could!)

First, let me say that I like this thresd the way it is! Oh, but it's a vote thresd?

I did a big analysis of tribal dynamics for last week's vote, which did me no good at all (even though I had one of the bootees). For this week, one of my favorite spoilers is writing the episode, so let's just focus on her logic.

There are 4 men and 3 women. dabo has posted about how hard it is to write for a gender imbalance, and he already has problems due to getting 6 instead of 7, so this time a man will go. That exempts dangerkitty, Outfrontgirl and GT.

Of the men, IceCat is clearly safe. You can't write the prisoner out of the prison yet! That leaves sleeeve, Survivorerist, and RudyRules. In real Survivor terms, the logical boot is probably Survivorerist. But sleeeve is off the boards (except on weekends) right now, which means he can't plead his case for staying around. So I'm picking him -- for reasons that have little if anything to do with BV.

Plus, my voting for sleeeve will help make up for not having the usual weekly vote from "not sleeeve" to see that "pathetic wannabe spoiler" sleeeve leave the game!

I don't know yet who will get the boot in ep 10, but I do not consider myself obligated to spare any of the characters just to abide by anyone else's hopes or plans or whatever, so do yourself a favor and do not apply that sort of logic to your decision the next time around. I am not going to comment on what I know of OFG's plans, but I will say that I have told her repeatedly to do whatever she decides is best.

thanks dabo (for clarification that anything goes) and squirrel (for the compliment). Somewhere up near the top of this monster I explained why it got started too early.
1) I thought people had been drilled into responding properly to a Superman thread, plus you had said your last one was the absolute last.
2) Supe was going off work for a week.
3) He jumped the gun by one day--supposed to post it late last night per my request, but oh well...
4) I thought when I asked him I could have a preview by today.

Now I go to think about that pesky preview. It's hard to follow GT I tell you, it sucks! Have some pity and patience please.

Edited to say the Ep 9 bootee's name has been mailed to dabo so I can't be influenced by the vote thread at this point, but I'm still thinking about also taking out Dr. Pepper just to be mean!

My efforts to take control of this thread haven't exactly been a resounding success either... reminds me of one of the old lawyer jokes:
