LAST EDITED ON 07-28-03 AT 02:46 PM (EST)Cupid - July 23/03 - Summary
The guys were split into groups of four for their group dates with Lisa. One guy from each group was sent home right after the date.
Hank, Cory, Scott, Ken and Dominic, "The Jocks". They did some ballroom dancing with Lisa. Cory had some fancy dance moves but Lisa didn't like how he seemed to be showing off for the men and not her. Bye Bye Cory.
Evan, Robert, Rob, Dain and Darren, "The Serious Group". They had to sing karaoke (songs were Born to be Wild and Pretty Woman). Pretty funny. Dain was sent home because he was too serious for Lisa's tastes. He didn't look happy.
Omar, Paul, Paco, Joe and Scott, "The Creative Types". They had to shoot rifles (skeet shoot???). Omar was sent home because Lisa thought he was more worried about his looks. Too bad, he was kinda cute.
Zach, Nate, Ben, Renda and Mark, "The Diamonds in the Rough". They had makeovers which was really funny to watch. Zach (the cherub guy) was sent home because Lisa thought he didn't reveal anything about himself. I'm glad he's gone. He was weird.
Then, they had a pool party. Robert (the Austrian guy) was so aggressive with Lisa. He was poking at her bikini top and saying how easy would be to undo it. He definitely has "stalker" written all over him. In the end, Paco was sent home (he's the guy with all the tatoos). She should have sent Evan home after he asked Lisa's friends to sit in his lap.
The next morning, she had to get rid of 5 more guys. She had a little one-on-one with each guy then made her decision. I'm surprised at most of her picks. Scott, Ben, Nate, Mark, and Darren were sent home. Now, they are down to 10 - Robert, Hank, Paul, Ken, Joe, Dominic, Renda, Scott, Rob and Evan.
Next week, America starts voting off one man at a time and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the lovely Laura. Ooooooooooooooh goody.
Edited to add names.
I do want to post it as a summary, but it needs two things:1) Its own thread -- would you please copy it over to a new thread?
2) A title, plus the date of the show or episode number
I could do these things myself, but I'd rather have you do it, so you know how to do it for the future!
Soylent Green: recycling America, one person at a time.
Thanks so much for the low down, Schnookie! Well, that explains the Cory ouster, which is too bad, since he really seemed like a sweetie in the brief period that he was shown in the earlier episode.Wow, I'm also surprised that Omar bit the dust, since everyone (including Lisa's beotchy but entertaining blond gal pal) seemed to be drooling over this guy. I agree, he was pretty durn cute!
Was Dain the lawyer one of the folks sent home from the group dates? I don't recall seeing him among the finalists. If so, I'm glad, since I didn't really dig him too much from the earlier show.
Thanks again!
