"Big Brother #8 Episode #30 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Posted by Estee on 09-11-07 at 03:59 PM
Please keep all discussion of tonight's episode, featuring The Most Powerful Veto Of The Season, on this thread until midnight EDT. That should be just about all the time we need for the entire continental United States to realize that the show is going to break whatever minimal (and mostly nonexistent) rules they have if it means having an all-Donato finale. Throw balls into Jameka's tube? Done. Make Eric try to nominate Daniele? Not even remotely a problem. Bar sigpics from the update threads? They've been doing it for years. But tonight, they're going to go Too Far. Because the show will do anything to have Daddy Loudest Vs. Daughter Dearest in the Final Two, and this is where we prove it once and for all. Know how you can tell?

Tonight's veto competition? Is endurance whining.

In addition, I have it from a very trusted source that tonight's endurance HOH comp will be either:

who can give the silent treatment the longest over nothing, or

who can walk out of the room the fastest if provoked.

What is the over/under on how many editors/camera operators died while putting together the episode?

Not to mention viewers. At least those of us who survived Sunday's mega-giganto whine fest by Dani.

"It sucks. It sucks. It sucks. It sucks. It sucks."

Yes Dani. My thoughts exactly.

Every last blessed one I find has some sort of damage due to reality TV voids the warranty clause.

Oh.My.Heck we are getting Jury house footage tonight.

I feel a tad bit better now about wasting another hour of my life watching these idiots. Just a bit.

Hopefully we'll get a good Dustin hissy fit and an Amber sob fest. *crosses fingers*

Will anyone be able to identify the exact drug mix Jen is being force-injected with every day just by checking her pupils? Stay tuned!

"Jury House"
Posted by Snidget on 09-11-07 at 08:57 PM
Dustin arrives, he likes the house, it is paradise.
Dusting waiting at the door with a froo-froo drink and it's Jen.

First he wants to smack her, and Jen says well he nominated me, I evicted him, we can have a blast.

Amber comes in and they are waiting in the house in PJ's when she rolls up. They toast to a "bad" person showing up on Thursday.

They meet Jessica at the door. Amber was happy and Jameka the good person is left in the house. Eric sneaks in while they are toasting.

The double eviction seemed to shock them. Eric shows them the week in a day DVD.

Eric can't wait to tell them about America's Player thing. Dustin says no one wants to see a Donato win.

The most important veto competition coming up.

Live veto meeting and eviction coming up.

Jameka and Zack quizzing each other over all events of the house.

You've won for times.

But IIIIIIIIIII've loooooooooooooooooost, tooooooooooooo!

Poor baby.

Oh, no Zach and Jameka have a prayer session with Gregorian Chanting in the background. Angels fighting with them to exact vengence. *eep*

Each has a quadrant, it is Big Brother Decoder. Series of clues, put the face between the two clues have the faces in the right order with the right numbers gives you the number of seconds in the house.

Dani isn't going to do numbers until the faces were set up. Jameka doing it all together. Zach is clueless, he finally gets Kail right and says he had been "brain farting". Dani felt she took forever getting the faces on the board. It was cooooonnfuuuuuuuuuuusing, poor baby.

##### done first, and is wrong.

Not knowing where the other players were was really streeeeeeeeeesful.

Zach hits the button and is wrong.

Dani hits the button and is right, and my ears are bleeding from the shrieking, thanks BB.

So basically, Daniele's latest whine is 'How dare you have confidence in me and believe in my abilities!'

Y'know, Dick's 'Suicidal Tendencies' shirt is starting to look like a hint. For the casting department.

With 5 vetoes she had tied Janelle.

Dick, one of your tactics was to un-nerve people before a competition. Why wait until after the competition. Wanted to make sure everyone "out there" knew what was up.

Jameka are you surprised you restored Zach's faith in God. I heard it before.

Zach will this renewal of faith stay with you, she got me back on track.

Next live veto and eviction.

"RE: Final Four Check In"

And now, a moment of silence for the preordainment of the
Season #8 winner, because Jameka just learned her deity has a sense of humor.

Apparently before this point, Jameka had never seen a platypus.

"To be fair..."
Posted by newsomewayne on 09-12-07 at 11:13 AM
1) to the best of my knowledge, Jameka never claimed God preordained her to be the winner.

2) I don't think your definition of preordainment is exactly correct.

1) No, that would have been Amber. But there was a point at which Amber seemed to think she was God, so there may be an additional problem here.

2) What? I'm just using Amber's definition. And Amber is God. How dare you question God!

Gee Danielle what are you going to do.

Some brak about packing, it doesn't matter who comes off.

She returns the favor and takes her Dad off the block. Dad says that is a surprise.

Jameka is the only possible replacement nominee.

One last chance to address the house guests.

Jameka enjoyed her experience and understands everyone played by their own agenda, I'm sure ED it won't be a hard decision for you.

Dani, one speech I'm not used to. I had a great experince, if you evict me I won't talk to you for another couple of years (gee, I'd take that threat).

##### is the only one voting so he does it in front of the house. He votes to evict Jameka.

"Post eviction interview"

Jameka's pict goes black and white. Dick saying it was very unexpected.

Zach was not your favorite housemate, do you hope this friendship continues?

I don't see any phone calls being made, but maybe an email.

Was Dick's attacking your faith game play? For him it was but it cut my soul.

You said I'm not used to being around all these white people? What was your experiences? I had a wonderful time and people are just people and I will never forget this I am so grateful and thankful (did they give her some of Jen's love juice?)

Round one winner automatically goes to the third round.
Winner of round two joins them to go head to head in the third round.

"The Bunny Hop"

Step up onto one of the platforms (carrots) hold the keey above your head. One hand one the key at any time. White rabbit goes around and you have to jump over him each time he goes around.

Fall off, let go of the key, or stop the rabbit and you are out.

One test orbit and then the competition begins.

The thunder didn't drown out all the whining. The instant the rain hit Dani..."I'm soooooooooooooo cold".

Is it wrong that I got much joy seeing the miserable look on her face? And Dick went from cocky to looking worried. I have to say for the moment I'm glad I watched.

Ditto. I switched over to a baseball game during Dick's a-hole rant after the POV competition, and almost didn't come back since I knew who would be evicted.

But this was worth it.
Go Zach.

Notice that so far, Daniele can only decide to be noble and self-sacrificing when it costs her absolutely nothing? Dick risked going home during the week he chose to save her. Daniele risked a grand total of zilch.

Yeah, boy; Go for the gusto, whiney-baby. That cost you ZIP! Great, AND the little beyotch has threatened daddy dearest YET AGAIN... "If you don't blah, blah, blah, I won't speak to you for a couple more years!"

Gee, what a sweetheart this little skank is!! And of course,it's gonna get COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD out there with all that nasty waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaater pouring down on her widdle head.

Ya know, I have a feeling ED is gonna cave first and get a promise from daughter dearest to take him to the finale. He ain't gonna make it very long, what with all those coughing fits the guy's been having.

I HOPE that's how it plays out anyway. If that happens, I'd rather see Shrek win than whiney baby.

OR.... My prayers will be answered and an asteroid (or hemmoroid or ANY kind of 'roid), falls DIRECTLY onto the BB house. BLECH!

AND,after all this wine drinking I've been doing during the summer, I've gotta go on the wagon for a while! BBUURRRPPP!!!

Dick was planning on dropping a hellacious speech toward Zach after Daniele was gonna use it on herself. Maybe BB "encouraged" Daniele to use the Veto on Dick instead to save the censors from probable overload?

Daniele managed to get Dick's attention and signaled that Dick should start tormenting Zach to try to cause him to screw up and get himself eliminated.

Daniele has fallen off of her carrot. Some of the Jokers' peeps are accusing BB of stopping the rabbit on her carrot so she'd fall. I believe that it's more likely that she mistimed a jump and clipped it which caused it to stop. She was shivering a heck of lot, probably due to not having much body fat and it being a chilly day, plus the rain and the also got a mud dosing at a point, apparently..........

Apparently there was a dispute. There was some footage that looked like Zach won, but the competition continues. It's been 5 hours. There's no more bunny, either.

People on various websites are saying that Dick is getting more water than Zach. But I think it depends on the angle of the camera and the lighting. Dick's arm is shaking like crazy. Zach was smart to wear a hat because it is deflecting lots of the water.

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #30 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Puffy on 09-12-07 at 02:07 AM
One comment: Zach has gloves, a hat, and shoes. All of these help to protect against the elements and the cold. Dick doesn't have any of that. The bunny is definitely out of service.

Even if Zach wins this competition going on right now, it's only part one of three. Dick and Daniele would then compete in part 2 either later Wednesday or Thursday morning, and the winner of that contest would face Zach during the live Thursday show, and the third part is usually a HG/Jury question quiz....... (that's not Zach's strong suit........)

I know.....That is why I said if Zac wins Final HOH. If Zac wins part one how hard is ##### gonna try in part two? Dani wins part two...Zac pulls out part three(He did win questions against Dani by one point..she whined for hours)then does ##### quit, forcing Zac to take Dani? I dont think he will. I think it is all a show. He cares more about himself than her. He wont put his money where his mouth is.IMHO

If he would quit if Zach would win part 3 of the Final HoH series to allow Dani into the F2, he'd only have the amount of time from the end of the part 3 competition declaring Zach Final HoH to the time when the Chenbot asks for the "take me with you" nominee speeches, which might not be much time..... (of course, if he loses part 2 to Dani, he'd have from that point on to decide if he'd step aside for Dani in case Dani fails to beat Zach......)

This, of course, is if Zach wins part 1. He hasn't yet. We're over 6 hours now.....

That's a great YouTube clip. Dick is so antzy and Zach is as calm as can be.

Dani has gone inside the house.

It's been 6 hours. They're still out there. Zach calls out that he has dibs on the shower first. The water stopped. Nobody likes a slippery Dick. Zach has a steady pace. Dick is faltering. Ten minutes later the water comes back on. Now lightning is flashing. Dick is leaning backwards and not moving at all. Oops, after 10 minutes, the water is back. It's
12:50 BB time.

I'm not watching the feeds; I'm reading commentary. Apparently Dick's palm was touching the key, not his hand wrapped around it. And it seems that Dick vomited. Now they're showing the Vortex, not the competition.

Still going on; the picture is back. I guess they didn't want the audience to hear Dick ranting and raving to the producers.

Di{}ck cracked and clanged his key ...
Dani is bringing him blankies ...

Zach held onto his key a bit longer, making sure.

Well it looks like yet once again ED's great "strategy" backfired on him . There is a diffrence between trying to push someone and what ED did....and I am sure that made Zach hold on longer and I am 100% sure all that badgering for hours had to take its toll on ED. Great job by Zach. ED and Dani took Reality tv show competitions to an entire new low when Dani told ED to start with Zach. Can you imagine if this becomes the norm now during comps in reality shows where people start yelling at other people? One word for it and its not strategy - pathetic....then again typical of the trash that the Donatos truly are. I love how Dani told ED to start berating Zach - why didn't she just do it?

By they way, the jury house will see this comp right? If so and if Zach could possibly beat Dani in stage 3 (which I don't see happening after ED decides its better to just let Dani play Zach), the Donatos display during this competition would pretty much cement a landfall victory by Zach (although again, as much as I would love to see it I can't see Zach beating Dani). It would be hysterical to see this excellent game play/strategy by the Donatos that everyone is talking about be the undoing of them..not the best move to put yourself in a position where there is only one possible way to win and that is getting yourself and your daughter both into the finals.

Like many here I would hate to see a all Donato final 2. Grate on my nerves it would.

But even with that being said, there is a little area of my soul that would get some satisfaction from knowing that all those who tried to get God to help them win, who just KNEW that God was on their side, and not the side of the others (Donatos) would all lose. And that those who made fun of the God summoners did win.

Which would mean God doesn't actually like them (the earnestly Praying hamsters), after all. Sorry Jameka, can't get Angels to help with mundane affairs, after all.

The satisfaction of getting Daniele kicked out, and the whining that would ensue, would far outweigh every thing else, though.

I would love to see D!ck or Danielle take it all. D!ck is an in your face kind of person and tells you exactly what he thinks. While he is very mean at times, he does not pull any punches. Most of his ranting is pure game strategy, just to get the others off their game. He has definitely made this season for me.

Now if Zach wins this whole thing, I will be highly upset. Talk about your floater. I think he is worse than Howie in that aspect because he has done nothing. No game strategy, no alliance (to speak of), he has been a meer speck on the radar screen. Someone like him does not desire to win.

I say GO DONATO'S!!!!! - The only deserving ones in the house.

Well ED and Dani did screw over Jessica and Eric, and ED always claims he never lies. 2 Big ones right there. ED is the one that suggested them to the final 4 was it not? it seems the winners for a lot of the seasons were the ones that hid in the background until the end. I'd call it a laid back style of strategy, and it obviously works.

Let's analyze that for a minute. Will-BB2, he was very strategic throughout the whole game. Lisa-BB3 was also an upfront game player. June - BB4 very strategic, Drew-BB5 (the four horsemen) again, very strategic. Maggie - BB6 - the friendship alliance, a very good strategy. Mike - BB7 - Huge game play the whole show. All of the past winners, whether I liked them or not, had good game play. I almosted vomited when June won but she was the lesser of the two evils in that scenario. Zach cannot even be put into the same category with the rest of these people. I am not saying that D!ck has been without his faults. All the past winners have had there faults. Even though Janelle was not a past winner, look at the huge mistakes that bleach blond bimbo made. She could have taken it all the way (again I would have had to vomit if that happened). My point is Zach is at the very bottom of the boring scale. He is a giant yawn in my book and is riding on everyone elses coat tales and not making any decisions for himself. I think it would have been a shame if that happens. That would be like Erica winning last year (and she actually played better than Zach). YAWN YAWN YAWN

While he

I don't think D!ckhead's behavior is just "strategy". D!ck continued his rants about Jen (and other houseguests) long after she left the house. Where's the strategy there?

>Now if Zach wins this whole
>thing, I will be highly
>upset. Talk about your
>floater.

This game is not just about winning competitions and making alliances. You also have to play a good defensive game. Despite being a member of the infamous Mrs Robinson alliance, Zach has been able to outlast Mike, Nick and Kail. Whether by accident or strategy, Zach became the invisible man in that house. He wasn't part of any alliance, but he was never seen as the biggest threat until the end.

I think he is
>worse than Howie in that
>aspect because he has done
>nothing. No game strategy,
>no alliance (to speak of),
>he has been a meer
>speck on the radar screen.

Zach has made many strategic blunders. Not using the veto last week to force Daniele onto the nomination block is by far the worse mistake he has done, and it may cost him the game at the end. But, ##### has made equally stupid moves. He supported the movement to evict Nick, who was one of his closest allies. He turned against Eric because of BannerGate for purely paranoid reasons, and ended up being blindsided by the LNC when it came down to the eviction votes. In fact, I would say that the only reason why D!ck is still in the house is because of the America's Player twist, which has served as a catalyst to protect D!ck everytime he was on the block. D!ck's "strategy" has managed to alienate every jury member to the point where he's playing for second place. I wouldn't call that a winning strategy.

> Someone like him does
>not desire to win.
>
>I say GO DONATO'S!!!!! - The
>only deserving ones in the

If Zack manages to win the final HOH, he deserves to win because he's been a one-man show for most of the season.

Lord have Mercy...and I do mean that literally. What's the deal with all this Anti-Christian garbage. If Jameka was anything but a Christian and ##### attacked her faith, people would be outraged. When Cappy or whomever made a comment to or about Kaysar that was precieved as Anti-Muslim it was a big no-no on this board. Because Jameka is a part of the majority (how ironic) it's ok to attack her faith? I don't get it. Anyone that chooses to pray and rely on their faith for strength, direction, or motivation, how is that harmful to anyone else in the game or viewing public. When Jameka has time to reflect maybe she will realize her prayers were answered and she can consider herself a winner. Maybe God put her in that house to learn regardless or race, religion, and hygiene (#####) people are just people, which is the message she said she got when Julie asked about her discomfort about being in a house w/all white people. I'm sure she knows people in her own family that have characteristics in common with all her fellow houseguests. So, for the love of God, give her and all Christian that appear on reality tv a break.

I have been really shocked at how everyone has taken the praying thing. I don't think you can pray to win a game, it's kind of like gambling. But even still, what is wrong with faith in a higher power and prayer to get you through your trials and tribulations. Basically that's all they were doing, praying to get through their days. I have had a laugh or two at Jameka and Amber (God Bless you God - priceless)in their prayer times, but I think it's kind of crazy all the bashing that has gone on here during the season. I'm glad someone spoke out about it.

I think most of the objection (mine anyway) isn't anti-christian, it's anti-blasphemous christian, or their using God as you would a hand servant to get help you get money, summoning him to keep them from getting evicted, get back at their enemies, or evict someone else, or win BB8. It is blatant, and it is offensive to some.

If she (Amber even more so) would give God a break on the chores she assigns him, maybe she would deserve something other than utter contempt, in that respect.

She does seem like a nice person, otherwise.

Put me in the no problem with praying for God to help one have strength, or to do the right thing in the game when it is hard to do that or any other prayer like that which is about you being the best person or strongest person you can be in a situation that is challenging.

It is the asking God send your avenging angels to help me win the POV, or statements that make it seem that someone uses winning something in a reality TV game as proof the one has God's favor and thus is more blessed and deserving and "good" than anyone else on the show. Especially when other people may be praying in the quiet way that is what their sect and faith calls for rather than making a big production number out of it. But those not making a production out of it can't believe in God and can't be the "good" people because they aren't shoving their faith in other people's faces. I mean the "godly" ones on the show wereshocked Jessica had any faith in God at all because she wasn't flinging it around for display IIRC.

Just because you pray loudly to God or praise him loudly in front of others does not make you saintly, or holy, or more Christian, or better than anyone else. Especially in situations where the "holy" ones play the game with the same tactics as the "bad" people. That isn't as big a deal on this season of this show, but it has been on some shows where I've been taken to task for being "anti-Christian" when I am tired of hypocrisy. My lies and backstabbing are sanctioned by God because I am holy and should win the game while your lies and backstabbing are proof you are a bad person who should lose the game, gah!

I mean I understand spreading the good word and all of that, but IMO and in my sect using your faith as a weapon against your enemies is not consistent with "do unto others as you would have them do unto you. YMMV. All sects don't have to do it my way, either.

Well put, Snidget. I think that may echo my feelings better that I myself did. I may just have to hire you occasionally, when I need a good post, I probably overstated the case a little.

And Amber, I was entertained immensely by her self deluded antics, but she actually said God talked to her and let her know she was going to win. To me, that's your basic blasphemy. Or at least it borders thereon.

It's true that viewers respected Kaysar's faith a LOT more than they have respected Jameka and especially Amber's faith. I am very much included in that group.

You know why?

Ask yourself... how would viewers have reacted in America if Kaysar had walked around the Big Brother house for 80-whatever days, playing in competitions voting people out in the name of Allah? Constantly? Before and after each competition or event? And what if Kaysar started explaining that he's having visions from Allah? And what if Kaysar made racist remarks about jews? Or said that white people are 'blank'?

Still think he would have been more respected than Amber? Or would everybody here who's talking about religious prejudice have branded him an Islamic nut?

The reason Jameka and Amber get bashed on this board is ABSOLUTELY NOT because they're Christian. To even think that for a second, IMHO, means either extreme paranoia or lack of understanding regarding the way that Faith is generally practised by reasonable people.

The reason they get bashed is because they're ridiculous. Period.

While I agree that ED and Daniele have some really appalling character traits, I have to admit to secretly enjoying watching ED's drama and feeling sorry for him trying to communicate with his daughter.

I hope he realizes that he has already won. Not the game, but what he said was more important- reconnecting with his daughter. I only hope that she doesn't ditch him again, now that he's not of use to her.

I don't think either of the Donatos can win a jury vote. But to be honest- if I were stuck in an elevator with any of these hamsters all alone, I'd choose ED over Wahmber, Jen, or Zach. I think he's actually a far more interesting person than any of them.

Has anyone ever brought up the idea that maybe they are making up this story about not talking to get attention and hope for sympathy from others? I have been thinking this, and even Eric and Jess seemed to think the same thing on the one episode where they said her whining was fake. They did seem to argue a lot more when in the presence of others. Its certainly something I would not put past them to do.

I've thought about this before, especially after they admitted to being finalists for Season 6. If they weren't in speaking terms, then how is it that they were willing to be "secret partners" during season 6? I believe they have a rocky relationship because they're both unbelievably dysfuntional. But, I think that whole "we-haven't-spoken-in-years" story is BULLCRAP.

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #30 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Ummmm...season six would have been two years ago. And the application/interview period for it would have been even earlier. So, there is still a possibility that they haven't talked since then. Seeing what kind of person Dick is, maybe he blasted her for not getting them on the show then and that's why she refused to talk to him.

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #30 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Of course the fact that if Daniele would've entered the house in season 6 she would've started the season at age 18 didn't factor into her and Dick not being accepted, did it? Nah......
