Please keep all discussion of tonight's show, whatever it is, on this thread, wherever I managed to post it, until some time or another (possibly around midnight EDT), when the coast on the other side from my coast will get to watch this thing, the name of which I still can't remember, but it's the one with the contestants that are really stupid and the twists that make no sense and the host that contributes nothing and I'm starting to realize none of that exactly qualifies as a whole lot of help, but you can't use the picture things that substitute for your signatures. Whatever they're called.

I've been stuck in traffic for the last four hours. This is just kind of continuing the pattern.

Who will be the next temporary power in the stupid twist-overloaded game?

How will that person stupidly abuse that power?

Who will actually care?

Not me. I think I'll just take a shower.

Yea well that game that they play on Sundays, whichever game it is now, with the mascots or the quiet clapping or something must have run over because that show with the ticking is still on.

Possibly because that 108-yard run took a while.

The ball was caught eight yards deep in the end zone.

And Brave is totally gonna sue you on that head tilt.

Much further back in the end zone and he would have had to have gone into the stands to catch it.

Well, it is 8:20 and it looks like the ticking show might be ending soon, so looks like the usual 20 minutes or so over.

ETA: 8:26 and the old dude just finished babbling about something.

There is a house, they had some kind of announcement where they would set two of them free.

Some blond was sent home, some guy had to say goodbye to the blond.

They had some kind of competition and a nasty body part won it and had to name some names. Then another competition with bouncing balls and some ogre won it and didn't do anything about it. Some guy was evicted.

There are apparently four of these creatures left and who will whatever?

Going over the recap again.

Jameka thinks she is there because she made a deal with ED one hour before the show. The deal is she won't put the two D's up together.

No backing out on a deal like I've done time after time, right Jameka. One world to Jess and Eric and you will be gone.

And the recap goes on and on and on and on.

Do we need a whole hour to recap a one hour show?

I think the recap is taking LONGER than the show it's summarizing.

Memory wall has new pictures. Part of the HOH competition.

In the backyard there is a set of three stairs.

Picture This is the name of the competitions.
Correct answer, one step up to the platform, first to the top is the new HOH.

In the picture of those about to slop how many black guitars were upright in their stand?
Correct answer is one Zack gets it.

How many houseguests are not wearing bunny suits in let's make a dual?

Correct answer is five, they all get it.

In the picture of Name That Pie what was the blue teams score?
Correct answer is six and they all get it.

In the Shot for Shot what color is Dustin's shirt.
Correct answer is Blue, Danielle and Zach get it.

In the picture of Cut Throat Christmas, how many were wearing sunglasses.
Correct answer is four Danielle is the only one that gets it.

Zach and Danielle with four Jam with two.

In the Mad Hatter picture who is wearing a bow tie?
Correct answer is Mike they are all correct.

In the Humpty Scramble Picture how many swirl mats were reflected in the window?
All say two, correct answer is two.

Jam 4 Danielle and Zach with 6 only need one more correct answer.

Are there any rats in the cage in the Cat Scratch Veto picture?
All say no, correct answer is no.

Danielle and Zach have to do a tie breaker.

Closest number without going over wins.

What was the total number of houseguests in the 13 pictures on the memory wall.

Danielle says 58
Zach says 59

And the correct number is 69.

Zach wins HOH.

No one happy about Zach's second HOH in a row.

Dani bumped that Jameka will win the POV. Zach and Dick talking about getting Jameka out.

Zach worried about having two Donatos in the final three.

Zach goes to Jameka about them both really being alone in the game. Zach says he wants to put both of them out. He says he'll take her if she plays her azz off and wins the POV so he can send one of the Donatos home.

Did anyone else see the irony when ED and Zach agreed that Eric would give his final vote based on strategy? I'm about 99% certain that America will decide Eric's final vote. It could wind up being an unpredictable tie breaker that has no real basis on strategic game play.

If she makes it to Final 2 I cannot see her getting Eric's/America's vote. Especially after her incessant whining and bratty arrogant behavior on last night's show.

Dick should be grateful she hasn't spoken to him in 2 years. If she stays in his life he'll probably regret this summer for bringing her back.

Danielle is surprised that Zach is even thinking he could win the game.

At least Zach is smart enough to figure that out...I didn't think he could. Especially after Thursday night. I am still amazed that it didn't hit him until they get to the final four that being final three with the D's doesn't do anything for him. *scratching my head*

Amazing. Earlier Dick brags about having deals with Jessica/Eric and Zach and too bad, so sad they had to break the deal with J/E but "nothing personal, it's all game play".

Now he's lecturing Zach about breaking a deal? Talk about smug.

Nomination ceremony.

Wow, Zach realizes they are competing for half a million dollars. Danielle's eyes are rolling out of her head.

I never really knew if I really had any friends, but I've got two people that are kinda sorta friends and one person who restored my faith in {reverb}God{/reverb}

I nominated you two because you both rule in this game, your tactics are awful but they work. Wants to give Jameka a fighting chance and level the playing field because you two are so unfair.

Danielle laughs at they are unfair. Neither one of you are taking me to the final two (and they scoff at that like it isn't true)

Good question. As God is my witness, this is my last season of this lousy show. If anyone sees me around this forum next year please point me back to to this thread. And if I still hang around for more misery please shoot me.

The arrogance of the Donatos is amazing. Not even Will and Mike Boogie acted like that in front of the HGS last year (diary room sessions a different story). Rude and obnoxious.

If Zach truly is "stepping up his game" he needs to win the last HOH.

I didn't know that! I was thinking Zach couldn't be final HOH so it was a Donato x 2 final fer shur!

When D!ck and Daniele were getting so angry about being nominated, I was sitting here saying "it's just a game, it's just strategic". That's only when D!ck and Daniele are doin the screwin, I guess.

Final HoH is usually in 3 stages for the F3 to compete in:

1. Endurance of some sort. They've been in boats, on a mountain, etc. they've usually had to hold on to some version of their key to stay alive in the challenge...... Winner advances to the 3rd and final round, losers go to round 2.

2. Wildcard. They've ranged from some kind scavenger hunt to the SkyStar (or whatever it was called.....) last year. Winner advances, loser has to hope and pray to be carried.

3. Questions, usually during the live show and may or may not involve the jury members, like last year's did. Winner is the Final HoH and determines hir F2 opponent to face the jury.

Why did we watch this episode? 20 minutes were used to recap Thursday's show and then all this drama around the nomination ceremony which really meant nothing. The veto winner will be the one deciding everything. All we saw was Zach assuring himself of F3 and we'll have 10 minutes to recap THAT next Tuesday!!

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #29 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Exactly why did Zach put both Donatos up anyway? It was all about who won the POV so why bother getting them mad until Zach knew him or Jameka won POV? He could have pulled Jameka aside and just told her as much. If Jameka won then Zach's hands would have been clean. I think this move did nothing but assure Zach that if he did get his wish and got to the finals with Jameka that he lost both Donato votes. Am I the only one who thinks this was yet another lousy move by Zachary?

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #29 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by volsfan on 09-09-07 at 09:32 PM
As long as one Danato is not on the block then the other is safe because they are the only one voting. Zach was hoping he or Jamika would win POV and leave things as they are.

Yes but MarkP is right. Zach should've realized HoH is only immunity, that his nominations are meaningless since the POV will decide everything.

Zach basically lost 2 votes he may have had while gaining one vote he probably already had - talk about strategy....now perhaps Zach thought putting up both Donatos will score points with him with other jury members who may not have voted for him, but considering who he put up was 100% meaningless will these jury members care that he did this as a show when he could have gotten rid of Dani the day before? Is it possible this was Zach's line of thought?

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #29 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Am I missing something? If Zach wanted a Donato gone he could have put up Jameka and THEN saved her if he won the pov. Why did he have to show his hand early? Bottom line is knowing the Donatos save each other then it was the winner of the pov who decided who went home - period.

I understand this and it is just the other way of looking at things. He had to do one of these two things and he went with the one he thought best for him and is why I said it the way I did.

He or Jamika wins POV and they determine which one goes home instead of one of the D's making that decision.

They determine anyway if they won and Jameka and a Donato were on the block. Jameka wins, takes herself off and she is the only vote. Zach wins, takes Jameka off and she is the only vote. Zero difference than if he put up 2 Donatos or just one.

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #29 East Coast Spoiler Thread"

Zach made the right choice.

If any one of the D's wins Jameka was going home regardless.

Scenarios are.

Dani Wins POV, pulls herself off, Jameka goes home
##### Wins POV, pulls Dani or himself off, Jameka goes home.
Jameka Wins POV, doesn't use it, ##### goes home. (Which is unfortunate because she really should send Dani packing)

Zach Wins POV.
This is the an interesting scenario here because either way he needs to win the last HOH or he's going home.

If he nomed Jameka and #####, and he wins POV, he pulls Jameka off and throws Dani up that's a "mean" back-stab. And you can BET D&D will give anyone else their vote.

This was is more honorable. Putting D&D up is straight to the point with no sneaking around which we've already seen this year and previous years, sneaking around is bad, very bad.

Good point, but lets face it - the ONLY way that scenerio panned out was if Zach won the POV. Chances were 3 out of 4 he was not going to win it, so why plan the honorable card when there is an excellent chance it won't even come to that. In a game where everyone lies at every turn I'm not sure why Zach needed to do the honorable thing....and after the way ED exploded on him after his noms something tells me he lost their votes anyway. Zach admitted to playing "under the radar" most of the season and his one monumental move was actually totally inconsequential aside from the fact he really ticked off two jury members when there was no real need to.

You're right, except....

Zach had no chance of getting a Donato vote if a Donato was in the final 2. The only way for Zach to keep a Donato out of the final 2 was for Zach or Jameka to win this POV. But now, if Zach makes the final 2 by some miracle HoH win, he'll have Jameka's vote, and he'll probably get Jessica's vote and Dustin's vote and Amber's vote ... and that's 4.

Plus, Zack did not really want to face Jameka in the final two. He wanted to face #####/Daniele. He realizes that Jameka would get Amber, Dustin, and Jessicas vote for sure. He wanted to be competing against Jameka and either ##### or Daniele in the final HOH. I believe Zack wanted to face ##### in the final two. But his chances of getting to the final two were better with one Donato out of the game.

Plus, now by playing alliance partner with Jameka he probably gets her vote and only has one Donato on the jury and that vote was guarenteed to go to the other Donato. In addition to Jameka, Zach would get Jen for sure. SO he just have to sway a couple....probably Dustin and one other....I think Amber who spoke of the 'good people' all the time would vote for one.

I think it was all good strategy of Zack. He looks like a guy turning on the Donatos whether it worked or not.

Personally I think this was the right time. Zack knew he could not trust Jessica and even Eric less than the Donatos. Why would he have saved Eric last week with his power of veto? No way. Take the alliance a little further...heck if a Daniele won HOH he felt he was in better than Jameka....and he was right.....Jameka had some jury votes already locked up. Daniele would've taken Zack to the final three. By aligned with Jameka he had a alliance with both sides.

I think it was a great move. Look Zach has to be viewed as playing the game. If things work out in his favor and one of them gets eliminated he will be viewed as the one getting a Donato out.

Zach finally found his gonads, but I believe it is too little, too late. I give him props for being one of the only people this whole season who has at least somewhat stood up to the D's. I must say I don't really like Zach, but I do pity him for having zero social skills and clearly being treated so poorly until recently (when it benefited the Donato's). He was so starved for any attention, it clouded his judgment and he's just now getting out of the cloud.

I'm so irritated with Daniele and ##### I can barely watch the show anymore. Their attitude is absolutely insane - everyone should be working for their benefit and better not dare double-cross them....huh???

I used to like Daniele but she came across as such a little snotty nosed brat. When things are going her way, no one is more smug and when things don't go her way she throws a hissy fit. When she went to talk with Zack in the HOH, she was talking down to him like she was ruler of the free world.

It does amaze me that no one decided to break up the two of them until now. The show needs to start casting more strategic players and not just cast people who look good on tv and/or will cause drama.

I just hope an asteroid falls on the BB house before the finale so that NEITHER one of those buttheads win.

Whoever said it upthread is right. I thought Dr.Will and Mike Barfie were bad last year, but these two win the prize for most OBNOXIOUS buttheads to EVER play this game.
