"FCC to complainers: we personally think BB is fixed, but we just don't care."
Posted by Estee on 08-23-07 at 07:33 AM
LAST EDITED ON 08-23-07 AT 10:00 AM (EST)Quoting the text of a letter received (by someone other than me, thank you much) in response to a complaint about the show being rigged.
'Thanks for contacting the FCC via the online inquiry form, with your inquiry (designated IC Number: 07-x1327xxxx), regarding the 'reality' show 'Big Brother.' We will close your inquiry IC Number: 07-x1327xxxx with this response:
A "game show" in which selected contestants (vs. members of the public) participate is governed by Section 509 of Title 47 of the United States Code (USC), and regulated by the Department of justice. However 'Big Brother' does not appear to meet the definition of a "game show." Rather, it is a 'for entertainment only' program, somewhat similar to professional wrestling in that it is a pseudo-contest in which the outcome is fully, or in some measure, predetermined.'
Now that's an insult.
Professional wrestling has much better casting and more realistic storylines! They should sue!

<Big Brother> is a pseudo-contest in which the outcome is fully, or in some measure, predetermined. So Jameka and Amber are right! The winner has been preordained. They're just, as many of us suspected, clueless about who god really is in this case.

Professional wrestling has much better casting and more realistic storylines! They should sue!No kidding! Pro wrestlers have much more charismatic lives and can even branch out into the movie industry (Hulk Hogan and Duane "The Rock" Johnson who have both made a chunk of movies plus "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, John Cena, and Kane who have starred in one each..... and that doesn't count the walkon/co-stars by a number of other wrestlers......) plus they can even take a reality show whore like the Miz and make him a wrestler! Not to mention the soon to be Survivor star, WWE Smackdown Diva, Ashley Massaro............

Do you think he'll cast himself as Dick? And who's going to play Jen? Because she'll complain about the choice, and we all know it... actually, Amber might be the hardest one to cast, 'cause no one in Hollywood can cry on cue for sixteen hours a day...

I would suggest Billy Bob Thornton for the role of Dique.
Jen...that's a tough one. No one would be pretty enough in her eyes, for sure. And I'm sure no one else could pull off that unitard!!

no one in Hollywood can cry on cue for sixteen hours a dayMaybe they can pull in a ringer from TBN?
And Ben Stein would be a great Julie Chen.

LAST EDITED ON 08-23-07 AT 02:27 PM (EST)Trinity Broadcasting Network?
Ben Stein has too much emotional sincerity and range to play the Chenbot.

But she's dead. Maybe Mel Gibson? He could do his Jew-hating tirade and get paid for it, this time!
