The 7 remaining contestants had to write their own songs but only a few would actually get to sing them. They agreed to draw from a hat on who would do the original songs.

Suzie sings Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones. She was devastated that she could not do her original song.

I was so happy to see Suzie so active on stage. One of the complaints about her has been that she never moves around. Well tonight she moved. I was happy with her performance.

I think it was an act. if she realy wanted to sing her own song do you think she would've been the one to suggest to pick out of a hat? Lame on her part....put up or shut up!

Agreed only JD should have have wanted to do his own song, but maybe the goal for JD would have been set too high because of his talent.

I forgot to say, the dress Brooke is wearing makes her look like she is 7 feet high. The legs are long.

JD was awesome. He knows how to perform not just sing. And he knows how to rearrange a song. He has talent.

He has talent with music, but he is not the best singer, which INXS is trying to replace.

WOW! He sold me. That was hot. Not cold as ice. I think it was one of his best yet.

can you please put the performance order of the rockers. i am still confused on how to vote online. does the "vote" icon only appear for four hours-how does it know if your four hours is over???

I predict Deanna bombs.

The fact she had to have Ty write most of the song is pretty said.

Deanna does an original song that Ty helped her write, I thought it was pretty darn good.

I thought Deanna was a gonner, but she was awesome. Still has some awkward stage moves, but she rocked the joint!

I loved Dianna's performance... Loved the song... She was awesome.

I liked her better tonight than i usually do.

She's totally wrong for INXS, IMHO, and I've never cared for her performances much until tonight. That was great! I've actually thrown a few votes her way.

I think Deanna looks hot. But she sounds like she does most weeks. I am not even paying attention to the words. But they keep showing Ty. He is acting like the proud daddy. (OMG Dave said that after I had just typed it). Does this mean if Deanna is booted that Ty has to go with her?

Better than I thought. i thought she was defeated.

Strong performances this week.

Ty sings Proud Mary the Ike & Tina Turner version

He should have the the Creedence version of the song. That is of no value to INXS.

Ty does have the Spike back. The band seemed to like it. He had the girls up to sing backup with him.

I don't why others don't see it. Ty's voice is the most suited for the soulful sound of INXS.

I don't see it. Nor do I see INXS as as soulful band. Ty should be doing Motown.

Why in the first few moments did he have to stick his tongue out. That is really bothering me about him. He did a great job. But then I expected that with this song. It was so Ty.

I think Ty realizes he is not right for this band, he is auditioning for an unknown future gig.

I agree seahorse. The guy is definitely super talented. But this is not the right band for him.

Marty is boring me. He seems the same all the time. And I think he is looking more and more like a vampire got him. He is getting paler and paler.

Marty sang "I Alone" by Live. The band scolded him for singing music not meant for them.

Yikes... I almost liked MArty's performance tonight, but then he choked.

The band seemed to be saying, not so gently, that his style is just not them.

And I'm also waiting for Marty to stop being so edgy & angry. I think they are, too. They told him to do Britney to lighten it up and he still makes it dark. I think if he and MiG want to stand a chance, they need to get off the one note they do well and change it up. They've complimented JD more than once on mixing it up and taking risks. Neither one of them really takes risks.

He would be the leading candidate for Rock Star: Nirvana.

Dave Navarro likes him, but Dave is more grunge/new rock than INXS.

Wow, Jordis is doing horrible. She can't handle the mood changes in this song. Started off weak and never recovered. She sounds American idol tonight. And sing songie.

me too. i am a huge MiGs fan. he is one great singer and has some awesome abs too.

I though MiG's song was bombastic but then I've never been wiggy about Miggy. OTOH, I've not been much of a fan of Deanna's and can't see her as lead singer for INXS but really enjoyed her original song. What she's comfortable with singing she does very well.

Jordis sings Aerosmith's Dream On. She is fretting about hitting one of the notes in the song. Can you imagine a man hitting that note.

And she did kill that high note. Loved the song but it was a toughie.

The band thought it was one of her weakest songs. They wondered why she didn't try to rearrange the song so that she din't need to hit such a high note.

Try listening to Dream On in a karaoke bar, not fun.

Poor Jordis... Normally so strong.

Hopefully, her usual following will stay with her, cause her performance certainly will not carry her this week.

You have to click on the vote button not on the face of the performer. If you do that a window popsup so you can view the video not vote.
