Please keep all sigpic-free in-show discussion of the way either Jen or Kail manages to Veto their way off the block on this thread until midnight EDT, at which point the stage will be set for the next HoH to once again nominate Jen and Kail for eviction. In fact, if Jen or Kail win, they're still going to nominate themselves for eviction. Why change a winning formula? (For details on 'Why change a losing formula?', please see every season of BB to date.) So it'll be Jen and Kail every week from now until the Final Two, who will be -- Jen and Kail.

Kind of makes you wonder which one of those two is making the other look good.

Signing on from Southern Florida. This is the first show I've seen in a week. I'm trembling with excitement!

Vomitous recrapping. Dusin nominates Kail and Jen. Kail threw herself at Dustin as a pond. Jen pokes kleenex in her eyes to squeeze the tear ducts.

Dustin tells Kail that he is targeting neither Kail or Jen. He just put them up because Estee made him do it.

Jen continues to poke herself in the eyes to feign tears. She says she's not shocked, she's hurt.

Zach, in an attempt to make a friend, comes over and hugs Jen from behind. She gives him a "get the F*** away from me look."

Now they have to pick players for the Vee-Toe competition.

Dustin picks Dani. (with her hair back, she looks like Joan Rivers)
Jen picks God.
Kail picks Jessica.

Eric is the host.

Ambore had the "You can't be serious" line of the night: "Jen uses her tears as an act. She's such a whore."

Hello houseguests! *OW!* (He was a little too loud in the shouting for the call to the hamsters......)

Dustin picks Daniele
Jen picks Jameka
Kail picks Jessica

Veto competition to begin in....... 17 hours!?!

and now it's time to go church as Jameka pledges undying devotion to Jen in the POV competition.

Ha! Organ music playing while Jameka tells Kail that she is acting out God's wishes during the VeeToe competition.

Now Jam tells Jen why God chose her. Jen has a mouth full of mouthwash and is like, muh-eber.

Now Jam is telling Dicque and Dustin that she has to do God's will. "If my ball is pulled it's pulled for a reason."

Dicque: "The hand of God is reaching into the bag and pulling the ball" and "Don't you think that God has something better to do than worry about your ping pong ball?"

Y'know, if anyone really wanted to solve the Jameka/Balls Of Destiny issue, they could just try renaming the thing into the Idol Power Of Veto and see what happened next. Worked for Joanna, right?

Anyone know if God's been voting for America's Player options? If so, do we trust that decision?

Eric is all dressed up in black artsy-fartsy clothes. Participants have to dress likewise. Some gratuitous Jen midriff shots.

House dressed up like art gallery.

Identify Big Brother slogans for Big Brother bucks.

Jen says she's screwed.

They have to look at pictures and interpret BB phrases. They all have 1000 bucks.

1st puzzle: 500 bucks. House with face. Dani "head of household."

2nd puzzle: 500 bucks. Memo attached to brick wall. Dani "memory wall"

Dani all cocky looking.

3rd puzzle: 750 bucks. Room with book. Kail "diary room"

4th puzzle 750 bucks. Foot with cord. Dani got it wrong, it was Power of Veto. Don't know what Dani said.

Kail in lead.

Now they can shop.

Trip to Barbadoes for 750 bucks. Dustin buys it. HG's look pissed. LOL

5th puzzle 1000 bucks. Troll on knee. Kail guesses need to know basis. Wrong, it's nominee. Kail is out.

6th puzzle: 1000 bucks. Sillouette of lion with ants on back. Jam: "alliance". Correct.

7th puzzle: 1000 bucks. gem E C chicken. Dustin: Julie Chen, correct.

8th puzzle 1500, grill with city skyscape, Dustin guesses chopping block, correct.

Shopping again!

$5000 cash! Dustin rings in. Don't blame him.

Ambore crying in DR.

9th question: 2000 bucks. Whoever wins, gets it. Power lines, hands. Jen: safety. Wrong. "Power is up for grabs."

Godeka wins because she has the most bucks.

We generally don't get a lot of gameplay hints on this show -- in fact, this may be the first to come along in a few seasons. But it's a really solid one and needs to be put into electrons.

'Don't drink wine before a mental competition. Morons.'

Some gratuitous Jen midriff shots.

The midriff attracts me less than her Jen t-shirts do. Tonight it was the "Jenth Degree". Now what is that?

a) Absolute zero.
b) A diploma from Beverly Hills Nanny Institute
c) A mathematical power function that gets to the head.
d) The level of disdain viewers and the other hamsters have for Jen.

Is anyone else automatically starting to laugh whenever they see Amber crying? The red eyes, the scrunched face, the total emotional breakdown for no real reason -- it's hilarious!

Dicque doesn't like what Dustin did, so he gets all in his face and calls him a slvt whispers that he didn't think it was a very good idea.

More church. Jameka tries to turn Ambore's pepetual frown upside down. Wait -- it's already upside down. No -- sorry -- that's a forehead wrinkle.

Dicque vs Jen Round 1. Dicque in hot tub accusing Jen of throwing the comp.

Ever notice that when Dicque starts talking/walking/shouting, they play un-rock music? Un-rock music is what non-rockers think rock sounds like.

Whoa. Major cut to commercial. Not even a dramatic fade-out. Looks like they had to scramble to get this one edited in time for the show!

America's player. The catch phrase is "I'd do that for a dollar."

Dammit!! I wanted Sweet Chicken!!

He tries, it's weird, awkward. Now he's trying to tell Dicque that he's doing it for fun. Isn't that cheating?

God is not amused.

Eric jumps in pool for a dollar.

Oh, this is lame.

LNC - Dustin says you can't argue with God, so let's just accept the fact that Jameka is going to take Jen off the block. Who goes up?

They want Nick. Dani is quiet.

Dustin asks for consensus. Dani says it should be Jen. But it's not personal. Oh, no. It's just so fruuushtratiiiinnnnggggg!!!

Corners of Ambitch's mouth drooping. Says something nasty, Dani leaves, cries in bathroom.

Jameka says Zach because he's a shady nobody.

Now we get a weird, slow cut to commercial. Is it wrong that it excites me to know that they really didn't know how they were going to piece this episode together?

Your excitement makes Amber cry.

This is a really choppy editing job tonight. It's as if they felt the only storyline they had was Jameka, and everything else had to fill out the episode. There's got to be more going on in the cage than this, right?

Ugh... I'm so tired of seeing Daniele whinning and crying about how unfairly life is treating her. STFU, you little tramp!

"VeeToe meeting"
Posted by frisky on 07-31-07 at 09:38 PM
The HG's settle in the pews.

Jen rises and does a reading about why she should stay. She enjoys being here.

Kail's reading is weak and inaudible because Dicque has sucked out her brains.

Jameka ordains Jen as the winner of the VeeToe. Ambore tears up. (That "teers" as in cry, not "tears" as in rips in shreds...sorry to disappoint)

Dustin noms Nick.

They recite the Lord's Prayer. Fini.

Dani is shhooooo frushtraaaaaaated!!!!

Ambore cries.

Kail doesn't want to be up against Nick.

Jen says Dustin is a turd.

We close with Jen rubbing Ambitch's back. Why do they coddle this idiot?

"Jen puts it all in perspective."
Posted by Estee on 07-31-07 at 09:40 PM
'I hate Dustin for nominating Nick to replace me! Now I'll never get to show how much prettier I am than Danielle by seducing him away from her!'

Meanwhile, Amber cries.

Y'know, just replacing her body fluids is creating a drought in California.

Wow guys, I'm really blown away tonight. Think the HG's are genuinely this pissed with Dustin, or is it played up for the show?

I would have taken a trip to Barbados and $5,000 without thinking twice. ESPECIALLY if I was HOH and got to nominate anybody I wanted no matter who wins. And IMHO, you'd have to be profoundly stupid to think that's as wrong as this gang seems to think. Why in the world should Dustin be so committed to winning this POV? Just so he can keep the nominees the same when there's still two easy noms?

If anybody asked me about it, I would NOT have answered like Dustin did... I would have simply said, "Are you kidding? Why should I care in the least about this veto comp? I get to nominate anybody I want." And Whaaaaamber says Jameka could have taken it but didn't... why Jameka didn't take the money is totally beyond me. God wants you to take the money and spend it on building churches, idiot. I don't think His intention is to have Jen annointed at all.

Ugh. Glass out.

-Glass.

Posted by AugustGirl on 08-01-07 at 05:19 AM
They're pissed because prior to them picking names for the veto comp he made a really big deal out of making everyone swear to play hard for the veto and do everything possible to win it.

In addition, CBS did not air the portion of Dustin's conversation with Kail where he completely outed his alliance and detailed to her exactly what their current and future plans are.

Just another example of an HOH stint gone to some moron's head. Dustin had really been playing a fairly under the radar game. Now he's a target much sooner than he would have been.

Jen got it right...Dustin is a turd.

Hi Glass,
It makes a little more sense, but not by much. I don't fault Dustin for taking the prizes. I don't understand why these houseguests whine and complain all the time about other people's selfishness. Everyone in the POV had the same opportunity to take the prizes. These losers came to a show to manipulate and backstab their way to half a million dollars, yet they're always talking about selflessness and generosity. Hypocrites!

"RE: Big Brother #8 Episode #12 East Coast Spoiler Thread"
Posted by Glass on 08-01-07 at 12:15 PM
Nah Josh, not hypocrites...

Too dumb to know better. There's a difference.

I've officially cancelled my cable and I'm bringing back my digital box today. I'm in Canada so I can't get the full episodes off CBS.com. I would have liked to keep seeing the episodes, but after the last few weeks I don't care if I see this show again. I'll still hang around the boards to kill time at work, but I'm done giving CBS my Nielsons for this. Maybe next year (Though I have no reason to believe the casting will get better).
