CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION This is spoiler news!

The 'What's New?' on Netscape that pops up when you open the program just ran this little blip regarding The Apprentice. I copied the whole thing here for your reading pleasure:

Playboy Pleaded. Guess Who Said No!?

Four lovely "Apprentice" rejects--Ereka, Amy, Krista, and Katrina--were each asked by Playboy magazine to pose nude for the hefty sum of $250,000. That is the exact amount each would have made had she won the job working as an apprentice for Donald Trump. All four told Playboy "no way." Instead, the four agreed to pose--scantily clad, but still clad--for FHM, and they did it for free, reports The New York Post's "Page Six" gossip column.

Ereka Vetrini told Post reporter Farrah Weinstein that posing for Playboy is "unprofessional." She added, "It wasn't something I ever wanted to do beforehand, so with the money, I just thought I was selling myself out."

The man who has popularized the phrase "You're fired!" is also expanding his repertoire outside the boardroom. NBC has announced that The Donald will host "Saturday Night Live" on April 3, reports The Associated Press.

Well, I guess Amy and Katrina won't become "The Apprentice" either... If they are already available, then neither is in the top two, or three, either. Great. The Apprentice is probably Nick. Make me puke. Anybody but Nick!

Not so fast. Obviously, the show wrapped production awhile back and all of the contestants are back home and/or back at their jobs. An article in USA today has Troy back in Utah and still "cautiously optomistic" about his chances. To me, this means he is one of the final two players in the running for the job that will be decided on April 15. Likewise, just because Katrina and Amy are available right now does not mean that one of them is not a finalist too.

But why would they be listed as "The Apprentice rejects" if they were still in the running?

No, no, it's that crummy Nick who's in the final 2 with Troy, I can feel it.

Yep, you may be right. Being available right now is nothing suspicious but, being labled as a reject clearly implies that thier involvement with the show is over. You don't say how the reject label came about? I can't believe that Amy and Katrina gave away their current status with the show involving episodes that have not aired? Maybe it was just another slip as I noticed today with the interview about Troy. I think it's pretty hard to keep something secret for 15 weeks.

I don't any of the contestants necessarily spilled the information directly. I'm sure an organization like Playboy, that specializes in expoiting any young lady's 15 minutes of fame could find out the status. They've got their moles and dectectives.

Blame sloppy reporting by the wire reporter. The original Post story made no such claim:

Thank you for the link, Survivorblows!!

How can these wire press reporters be so careless? Don't they know that we analyze every word? This acutally is good news for me, it means I can continue to root for Amy.

Is MB involved enough to throw out red herrings like he did in the first survivor? I couldn't believe what I had read either. It took me awhile to realize the significance because I am stoned out of my gourd with NyQuil due to a brutal head cold.

Try this...

From the NY Post:
"GIVEN THE AX BY TRUMP, THEY STRIP "

March 11, 2004 -- SOME of the women on "The Apprentice" have bods built for sin - but they may not have the heads for business. According to cast-off Ereka Vetrini, she and co-stars Amy, Krista and Katrina were approached by Playboy and offered $250,000 each to pose nude - the amount they would have made after a year of working for Donald Trump. But instead of taking Playboy's money to pose in a tasteful nude layout, the fetching foursome decided to do a scantily clad shoot for lad mag FHM - for free. " is unprofessional," Vetrini, 27, told The Post's Farrah Weinstein. "It wasn't something I ever wanted to do beforehand, so with the money, I just thought I was selling myself out." As for FHM: "It's the four of us, no nudity. It was a lot of fun. They had an all-female staff, so they were really good about making us feel comfortable. . . . We started out being like, 'Oh, we're going to be clothed, right?' And then, by the end of the shoot, we were taking it off!" Still, some male fans don't applaud their posing for free and would probably tell them: "You're fired!" Meanwhile, at least one male contestant has a future if he gets the ax. Curt Johnson, producer of the upcoming movie "West Memphis Three," was so impressed with Troy's steadfast performance and business acumen, he's offered the Idaho mortgage lender a job. Johnson e-mailed Troy: "Street sense and going with your gut is how I've been able to make it in business too, and I'll take anyone with that over a load of MBA's any day. If Donald surprisingly passes on you, I would be very interested in speaking with you as I am going to be purchasing a company to work in with my existing production company."

The title of the article clearly states that they all have been fired...But, of all 4, I'm most surprised by Amy...Ah well. Tell me what you think of this version.

Folks, the title means NOTHING -- it's catchy headline, no more

A) Most newspaper titles aren't even written by the reporter -- they are written by an editor, etc.

B) If the reporter actually thought he had a scoop, do you really think he wouldn't mention the scoop in the STORY ITSELF? ...when was the last time you read a story in the paper where a significant piece of information was mentioned only in the headline and not in the article?

Do I think Katrina will win -- hell no. Amy might not have a shot either -- but if/when the two of them get ousted, this headline doesn't mean The Post had any inside info, hell, everyone but one person is eventually going to be a "reject" -- those are pretty good odds.

This is not a spoiler... if a gossip rag like Page Six thought they had something, it wouldn't be buried only in a headline
