"Geoff Mills, a whale?"

Please correct me if I am wrong, but do these guys really think that Geoff Mills is a whale? I know that the downtown casinos don't attract the big money like the ones on the strip, but come on. Real whales can loose $200 large on a single poker hand at a place like Ceasar's. Obviously, these guys don't want to mess with the real whales because then they really could go bust.

I think you're right. From what I understand (watching all the shows about Vegas on the travel channel and stuff) the big properties consider a whale anyone who brings half a mil or more for their gambling weekend. I would think that the smaller places that can't get the super - mega whales would consider a whale someone who brings $100K or more. Like the Geoff guy.

I also don't think a real whale would let the TV cameras follow them on their Vegas trip.

although i agree with you on this one, does it really matter? it's a lesser of a casino, so the criteria for VIP are lesser as well.

the frickin casino is downtown, ferpetessake.

No it really doesn't matter. I just found it funny that MB was billing this guy as a high roller. Certainly $100,000 is a lot of money to me, but it is chicken feed in Vegas.

that's true. but it is impressive for the average viewer, i'd think.

especially the average viewer who's never been to vegas. and keeps his head tucked safely up his arse.
