"Big Brother 8 Episode 8 Official Summary – The Simpsons"

If the hamsters in the Big Brother house were characters from The Simpsons, who would they be and why?

Well, Joe would be Maude Flanders, because his life was cut short in the game.

Evel Dique would probably be Homer Jay Simpson because he is the patriarch of the house, is dysfunctional, and though he was at risk of leaving, he is resilient and thrives.

Danielle would have to be Lisa because she is Evel’s daughter, and she is a main character. Lisa has had love interests in her lives and is sometimes embarrassed by the buffoon nature of Homer.

Nick, a pro-football player, seems like Duffman, a buff dude who’s always trying to get the ladies.

Eric, America’s Player, is probably most like Krusty the Klown because he is trying to entertain and enjoys the spotlight.

Kail is Ned Flanders, a bible toting, business owning individual. Homer and Ned never really saw eye to eye and in the Big Brother house, and Kail and Evel are at the same level.

Jen, a self-centered girl, is most like C. Montgomery Burns. If she doesn’t have her way, she will flex her power in the way that Burns will do something like block the sun so people will have to obey him.

Amber, who seems overwhelmed in the world, is most like Ralph Wiggum. She tries to fit in but turns people off (with her excessive crying). It is not that different from Ralph being excited that Lisa choo choo choose him.

Mike and Zach are like Lenny Leonardson and Carl Carlson. The two are pretty much inseparable and haven’t made a big mark on who is who in the game. There are differences in these two, but it is hard to think of differences.

Jessica is like Helen Lovejoy. She is a gossipy girl who will spread rumours, but she’s not always in on the action.

Jameka is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. Both are minorities in the house and do want to fit in with the society. They want to represent their culture well.

Dustin is Edna Krabappel. Edna and Dustin both had a former relationship that crushed them. If either of them have resolved their issues in their past is still yet to be seen.

So what is the house like if all these Simpsons characters came together to live in one house? That is what I will try to answer.

Homer is in charge and gets to choose the two people who will leave the house.

Ned Flanders is troubled that he doesn’t have as much influence as he thought he did. He is left alone, hanging. People promised to vote with him, but they didn’t. Why isn’t God there? Carl (or is it Lenny) backtracked explaining to Ned that the focus of the house shifted to get rid of Maude.

In the vote leading to Maude’s departure, Homer felt that it shows that he can carry on in the game and that people like him.

Duffman thought that it was better to keep a loyal customer than the other person who might protest Duff Breweries and do underhanded things to shut down the operation.

Well, after winning a competition, Homer has the power to nominate two people. Lisa feels very safe because the odds of being nominated by dad are slim. Ned and Burns feel at risk.

On a lighter note, Monty Burns was on the wrestling team when he attended Yale (back in 1928). Krusty decides to try his moves on Monty. Well Monty won the match with a strategically placed foot.

The next scene shown in the house is how Duffman has met celebrities and hooked up with them. He has a Top 5 Male list. Dispensing beer can make meeting people very easy. Duffman is comfortable with his sexuality.

In a moment of drama, we are treated to a heart to heart conversation between Homer and Lisa. Lisa is torn between two boys, Duffman and a pen pal from France. She is developing feelings for both and she doesn’t want to hurt either of them. Homer told Lisa that feelings are going to get hurt regardless of the decision.

Homer, then, sought the advice of Mrs. Krabappel and was happy that Lisa is gaining trust enough to confide in him. It still causes Homer pain to see his little girl cry.

Homer made a comment about Calcutta which led to Apu ranting about how he feels he needs to represent his culture. He is the only East Indian in the house and he needs to be careful about how he portrays himself. Before entering the house, Apu only lived with his brother, his wife and his octuplets and never lived with white people.

Now in a random set of events, the house turns into a Japanese style game show. The players form teams of two and work together to find balls with the names of food written on them. They must find matching balls and the balls are in giant tubs of spaghetti. If the players find matching balls, they get that food item for the week. After playing in the spaghetti for five minutes, the house got halibut, lobster tail, juice, bbq grill, pasta, chips, sweetbreads, melons, cucumber, bananas, hamburger, and cereal with milk.

Krusty, being the entertainer, is taking suggestions from outside the house. Today he is to try and convince Homer to nominate Burns. Homer wants Ned to go home, but he is willing to put Burns up as the backup person to go. Krusty will also have the task of vandalizing somebody’s property. We will find out who was the target in the next episode.

Ned, living his bible loving way, never met a gay person in his life until entering this house. After living with a gay person in the house, Ned is shocked that sometimes he forgets that the person is gay. His gaydar is so off that he would never be able to tell that another person was gay, unless they wore drag queen makeup. Being gay is still wrong.

So in a formal ceremony, Homer nominated two people. C. Montgomery Burns and Ned Flanders were nominated. Homer nominated these two because they personally threatened him last week. They nominated him and actively fought to get rid of him.

With that, we experienced a glimpse of The Simpsons in the Big Brother house.

Guess which movie I really, really, really want to see this summer!
