James feels good laying with 3 LOD alliance members. Boogie sees it as a chance to get Janelle out if either Erika or James are taken off. Boogie approaches CG that this is a golden opportunity to take out Janelle, the entire house wants her out. CG will receive in return a free pass for a couple of weeks.

Janie invites the players into the back yard. There are lots of odd objects by each name. There are garden gnomes everywhere. They must use items (from previous contests) to free themselves and reach their golden bag, take the key and unlock their leg shackle.

The hamsters are taping various items together to try and reach their bag. I can't describe it. CG looks closest to his bag.

Suddenly James gets his bag (spatula taped to hula hoop) and unlocks his shackles.

James in HOH talking with CG, says he will be using POV. James says this is CG's chance to talk with people to see how they can help him and how he can help them.

Erika talks with CG. He promises to work with her. She mentions Janelle and Howie to go.

Now, it's Boogie. CG says it feels like the principal's office. Boogie tells CG that if he takes out Janelle, next time there will be 5 people fighting for HOH on one side, and Howie over there by himself.

Will offers himself as replacement. It will keep Janelle and Danielle in the game fighting each other, and CG, Will and Boogie sitting on the side watching.

Just loved how Will's suggestion messed with CG's thinking.

I finally realized of whom George reminds me.

Does anyone remember the I Dream Of Jeannie cartoon from the 70s, in which Jeannie had a klutzy, dopey genie sidekick friend?

I don't remember Jeanie's dopey friend, but when I look at CG I think of that Haley Joel Osmet kid from 6th Sense, plus 40 years and 150 pounds. I think it's CG's eyes.

Janie, I see evicted people. Walking around everywhere, they don't know they are evicted. They see what they want.

Jeannie's rotund assistant: Baboo, and you're right, he does bear a resemblance!

CG tells Janie the entire house wants her out, including James. He tells her she's a good player and he can't put her up, can't do that to her. He asks in return that he join them (Howie is in the room also) and they vote for Erika to stay, just for one week. Howie asks if anyone mentioned him, CG tells him no, they all think they are a good player. Janie says of course they have to take the offer, they have no choice.

Erika in HOH, George tells her he's putting up Will. She begs, begs, begs him not to do that, she will go home, he assures her he has the votes for her to stay.

E, B and D in red room, E tells them CG is putting up Will. They can't understand, they saved him last week.

Erika pulls a guilt trip on George to get him to tell her that he's considering putting up Will -- and she promptly reports it to the rest of the house. Classy.

Boogie is lucky he has Will thinking for him, because Boogie has fallen hook, line & sinker for Erika's tease. Erika is the queen of the floaters. I am surprised CG trusts Erika as much as he does, I thought he was more keen to things.

They are all sitting in red room waiting for Veto ceremony to start. Boogie comes right out and asks why Will is being considered. George says because isn't fair to put up Janelle since she didn't have the opportunity to play for veto. Will because he's the best player. Will tells us he neglected to ell Boogie what he told CG.

They all start talking about how they've tried to save CG before (why is CG holding a woman's shoe in his hand?). They all give compelling arguments except Howie who says 'everything's been said'. Boogie then threatens CG with the 'special power'.

Everyone leaves except Erika and Danielle, he asks 'what if I put up Howie'. The ladies jump at that opportunity!

James chooses to use veto on himself. George stands to name replacement nomination. Tells Boogie he's glad he spoke up. Will saved him. Janelle played the game well. Danielle played well. Howie is the last person left.

Howie says after your promises? Howie starts selling out CG's alliance, influenced by others, his alliance sold him under the bus last week, the joke is on them this week. No one else has anything to say.

Will trying to calm down Howie, he's promises he'll vote for him. Howie gets Boogie to vote for him.

edited to add: James, Will and Boogie discussing voting out Erika, she's strong at comps and Howie is weak, plus Howie is with Janelle. James cannot vote against Howie, he's supposed to be in an alliance with him.

Howie's continuous "Will you vote for me? You're gonna vote for me, right? I've got you're vote, don't I?" is the most desperate, weak posturing that I've ever seen on this show. And I saw Cowboy's season.

There's no way he "accidently" forgot to tell Booger about offering himself up for nomination. He knew for sure (directly or indirectly) that Booger had the Coup. Now... what would Booger have done if his better half (Will) and his blanket bimbo were the two on the block? Why he would've used the Coup! Will knew this and knew for sure he was safe! Brilliant.

...and I would bet that Booger would've put up Howie and Janelle. George (if he thought about it) really saved Janelle's butt on this one because if it were her & Howie up there? The hamsters would've got rid of her!

George could have just put up Dani and stayed true to the plan that HE offered H/J. By not doing that is responsible for Howie leaving which is another lost vote for Janie when it comes to the next time she goes up. As a Jani fan I can't possibly thank George for his last move.

Howie was useless. He did nothing to further his alliance. Did he win any POVs or HOHs? No. Plus Janelle's loyalty to him was costing her just by way of his stupidity. She could've only brought the dead weight along so far. Only one person wins and in this game it's better to play it alone when you get closer to the end. You are more of a threat if there are 2 or 3 of you. Now she gets to play for herself alone.

Of course, we'll have to wait and see if she's smart enough to realize that.

This entire game has revolved around getting Jani out of the house. CT, Dani, Erika and James have all said as much countless times (and not just on the live feeds - also in the DR). I don't think Howie leaving makes her less of a threat, it only gives her once less vote if she ever gets backdoored. Howie leaving can't be good news for her.

I agree at least he didn't put Will up because then Jani would be gone...but then again, you know Boogie could have gotten Howie, Janie and CG to vote out Erika so maybe Boogie could have taken that route instead of using the power. Lets face it, Will DID ask to be put up figuring he had the votes anyway.

Right, but a single Janie is a focused Janie. She saves her own butt the most when she's only looking out for herself (as she did last year). Plus, I don't think Booger was ready to part with Erika just yet. He still has his 'manly' needs. Not sure if he'd throw Dani out yet either, given he is being loyal to the LOD right now. With him having the Coup there is no telling what he would've done. Now that power is useless and Janie is still there.

We return to the living room for the 'live' eviction. Julie asks if person holding the special power (ewwwww) wants to use it. No one stands.

Time for voting. Danielle is first, votes to evict Howie. James votes to evict Erika. Janelle votes to evict Erika. Will votes to evict Howie (tied 2-2). Boogie votes to evict Howie.

By a vote of 3-2, Howie is evicted from the BB house.

Howie stands, James hugs him. Howie hugs Erika and George, Janie, Dani. Takes Boogie's hat and throws it, gets in Boogie's face about lying to his face. There are angry words between the two but no physical confrontation.

Julie greets Howie. She asks him about what happened with Boogie. He says he takes it personal if someone lies to his face. Julie asks how he feels about CG, his Jedi student. Howie says CG was basically threatened by Boogie and had to do what he had to do.

Howie overreacted - this is just a game and everyone lies...but I do get the impression that in the real world Boogie IS a punk (like Howie said to him) and it was nice seeing him called out by Howie. Brave old Boogie says "What are you going to do - there are 20 people standing outside there" when Howie got in his face. Boogie's response there sure sounded like the reaction of a typical punk.

Let's all go to his bar and surround him.

Yes, Howie definitely overreacted, but at least he called out Boogie. Howie could have done so much more to blow the alliances if he was more eloquent & not such a spazz.

Top 5 Reasons Why BB All-Stars > Survivor All-Stars

5. No starvation. Yeah, Survivor's great because you got to see Amber running around in a bikini all the time. But, she weighted, like, 56 pounds. And everyone else looked pretty gross too. On Big Brother? Not so much, unless you're referring to Chicken George's back hair.

4. Actual twists. You know, not letting people compete in future Veto challenges and stuff. The only competition-twist Survivor ever came up with is the "have some cheap hamburgers" game.

3. No Rupert. That's always a plus. Still... Janelle is the "Rupert" of Big Brother All-Stars. But it's not as rampant and obnoxious. But it's getting close.

2. Julie vs. Will Petty Squabbles. You don't see Boston Rawb calling Jiffy sweetheart.

1. Good players past Week 5!. Look. You've got Will (arguably the best player ever), Janelle (HOH ho), Danielle (whispery schemer godess), and James (Veto ho) on the show. And none of them were nominated come Eviction Time. Now this is a fun game to watch. Survivor All-Stars was all about "Die winner, die!"

CG now sitting with Boogie as Boogie bashes Howie. Georgie gets right in there and tells him how Kaysar told him when he lived with Howie for a month he couldn't talk to Howie about anything other than girls, etc. (meaning Howie couldn't carry on a real conversation). I guess Georgie figures its cool to score points with Boogie by piling onto Howie. It seems this is yet another thing that doesn't "Go against all my principles" (the phrase CG used when saying why he could not nominate Jani)...so lets see, lying to Howies face is cool, bashing Howie after he's gone is cool, but nominating Janie because she's a good competitor or nominating Erika/Dani for whatever reason goes against all his principles....interesting.

Anyone know why there were no taped goodbyes for Howie? Doesn't everyone get them?

They are both insisting if they put CG up then James goes home. She doesn't want to vote out James because she made a promise and she doesn't like to break promises. Its amazing that #1 everyone in the house thinks she's such a bad person when she's probably the most honest person in the house and #2 that once again Jani will let both these guys talk her into something yet again. How many times will she continue to believe these guys? Wasn't that betrayal with Marci enough? Or the one with Howie? She has got to be easily the most gullible player in BB history (aside from Howie). They screw her best friend and she's back in bed with them.

At some point on the feeds the other day I remember Janelle asking Will if he did a goodbye bit to Howie & Will said they never called him into DR to do it and Janie said she wasn't called in for a goodbye video either. So, maybe on the double elims they don't get to say their goodbyes on the weekend evictee? Odd, but I guess maybe CBS is too cheap to pay the crew for weekend time to cover those things?? (Just a guess.)

Wow. That one had it all. I knew what was going to happen because I lurk around here but wow. The twists and turns that took place throughout that episode were gold. Gold, I tell you.

I understand now how George turned on Howie. Following the feeds I did not get it.

We also saw that the pointless twist of doom, the CdE actually was a power of some value. It turned the game in a subtle way, by pushing George to make a nomination he did not want to. It probably cut him to do that.

And, at the end, Janelle got a pie in the face. (though she seemed to be wearing pie dough on her face earlier?).

We can only hope Tuesday/Thursday live up to this stuff.
